Definitely not 5 star accommodations or service. Uncomfortable beds. Only half the staff were somewhat helpful and none were like usual five star service. Not terrible but nowhere close to being worth the price. Stayed in the jacuzzi suite for the last day and it didn’t work properly. Waste of money. The hotel response below will say that I did not inform them but I did inform them and spent 2 hours of my one night in that room with up to 5 workers in and out of the room. Nothing was offered for the inconvenience. The filters of the jacuzzi were plugged with black filth. The fact that management claims I did not inform them shows how poor the communication is. I am reducing to one star due to the lie in their response. The water park is nice for families and the marina area is nice with some cafes and restaurants. Pools were average. Salalah and the country is beautiful I highly recommend coming but personally would look elsewhere for better accommodations and better value.

A wonderful resort that is fully equipped with all that it takes to ensure a great guest experience. Has multiple swimming pools and easy beach access. The mirina is a two minutes walk and has nice restaurants and coffee shops. The hotel restaurant is nicely decorated. It has outside seating area by the pool and overseeing the beach. The breakfast menu is wonderful with endless varieties. Highly recommended for families.

I had the pleasure of spending my vacation at Fanar Hotel and it was truly a great experience! The food was absolutely delicious – fresh, varied, and full of flavor. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and always smiling. The housekeeping team did a wonderful job keeping the room spotless every day. The whole hotel was very clean, well-maintained, and beautifully organized. I had an amazing time there and can definitely recommend it!

My experience at Fanar Hotel was very negative. In terms of cleanliness, the hotel is far below any acceptable level. The bathroom sink kept getting clogged, and the bed sheets were not clean. I even got skin rashes right after using them, which is totally unacceptable for any place of stay. The service was also poor. The staff were slow to respond. As for transportation, it was a big problem. The hotel taxis are very expensive, and they don’t allow other taxis to enter. This forces guests to pay high prices for bad service. The worst part was when I left the hotel, walked about ten minutes outside the gate, and ordered a taxi. A hotel taxi came and forced the driver to cancel my ride in a very unethical way. This shows very disrespectful and unacceptable behavior. Based on my experience, I do not recommend Fanar Hotel to anyone looking for cleanliness, comfort, or decent service. Honestly, even one star is too much.

Although this hotel is huge, I felt like the price was way too high for what is offered. Firstly, for a 5 star hotel, there is no valet service. Secondly, the rooms are very dated. There is a lot of scuff marks and dried paint drippings. The couch in the room has a lot of marks on it. Thirdly, the pool area needs considerable cleaning, especially the loungers. Bird droppings and broken loungers are evident. While I was at the pool, not a single staff member came to open the shade or ask me if I needed anything like water or food. They were not attentive at all. Lobby is quite uninviting and a lot of things in the resort were closed (this should be made aware during booking). Also no robes available in the room unless you pay for it. Also no shampoo available in the room. Also, we were made to wear wrist bands during the entirety of our stay, which is very bizarre for a 5 star resort. I don’t want to be showering, sleeping, going out, using the toilet, swimming, eating etc while wearing a resort wrist band for 5 days straight. Now I will talk about what I liked about the hotel. It’s huge. If you like walking, you will enjoy walking around the resort. There is also a buggie service which will take you from one hotel to the other so you can enjoy the amenities. There are plenty of restaurants options within the hotel and also along the walk (Chinese, middle eastern and western). Room service was quick and fresh and the food tastes great. The location of the resort is around 30 mins away from Salalah city Centre so you can have peace and quiet. I presume during peak season the jet skis and boats will be available. The bathroom is huge which is nice, and there is always hot water.
