I’ll start with the smell, i couldn’t even sit on my balcony due to a stench that i would describe as marinated poo.
Our room looked nothing like the photos, the plug sockets are falling out the walls. Massive dead bugs on the floor. The kettle blew up and scolded my toes. Nothing is pat tested all electrics are tripping and dodgy. The bathroom is mouldy.
There was no mention of a zoo on site🤣 - I’ve come to relax not to pet cows and chickens.
The location of the hotel was also a lie. There is nothing around. The town is 40 minutes away. No shops nothing.
The staff are nice however they don’t know much English so it’s been very difficult to communicate.
I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you want to relax and enjoy your holiday peacefully.

All right...so about the Gaia Royal...
To far away from the sea, the swimming pool are not very clean, so I think they don't filter the water.
In the beginning of the resort (the kids swimming pool) there is a very bad smell( I don't know how people stay there).
If you are a sea lover than if you are lucky and have a room close to the sea than it's OK.
The lady's from cleaning top class 👌 👏 🙌 😍 👍
Very polite and they do a very very good cleaning.
The food is every day almost the same behalve Monday wend is like traditional Greek food.
Animation team very very weak 👇👎.
Almost nothing to do and almost nothing for kids behalve kids club and that's it.
Weak interact with the guest.
In the rest like I said, if you are sea lover it's OK if you have a room close to the sea.
The beach bar is the best from the resort, very nice and polite guys at the bar.
Toni and Iorgo are the best 👌
I meat many people from local places where I was but this ones are something special...from the first minute direct connection like we know each other from many years.
So, for the future guest good luck and enjoy your holiday.
Best wishes

Wouldn't go back. staff at pool bar, great, and restaurant staff, good the rest are rude foods ok but very much same everyday. Stayed at loads of all inclusive all over the world. Drinks are terrible more water especially at the lobby bar. Definitely not a 4 star hotel. Maybe a 2 star. The upgrade to
better drinks 100 euros a day for fanily of 4. Zoo absolutely stinks couldn't sit outside our room for the smell. Cleaners noisy at 7.40 in the morning tried 2 get in our room every day before half 8 in the morning. There's alot better hotels out there for your money. Pic added of the mouldy roof

Gaia Royal Hotel in Mastichari truly exceeded our expectations! The food was delicious, offering a variety of options that pleased everyone in our family. The pools are amazing and perfect for relaxation. Being right on the seashore is incredibly convenient, making beach access a breeze. The staff is highly professional and always willing to help, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay. The only minor issue was the smell of the water in the pipes, but this seems to be a common issue in Greece and beyond the hotel's control. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we can't wait to return! Five stars!

Cleaning staff is stealing from guests private bags‼️‼️Me and my sister were robbed for about 150 EUR which were in our wallets in bags also some of the clothing items went missing :) so be careful guys‼️Hotel’s stuff in the reception didn’t care and we weren’t allowed to see the manager. Seems like it’s a everyday situation. I also read opinions that we weren’t the only ones who were robbed in this hotel.
Residents from Itaka didn’t care and didn’t help us.
Also the smell in the hotel is bad (mini zoo)
Water and drinks taste really bad (it’s really salty)
In addition it is really hard to enjoy your meal outside because of horrendous amount of mosquitoes.
I don’t recommend staying in this hotel❌❌
