Lovely hotel!
Staff are very friendly and are great with children, the cleaners were friendly and cleaned our room 4/5 time throughout our week stay. The staff in the restaurant are absolutely fantastic and hardworking. Entertainment here is fun and the whole family joined in! Overall my family and I thoroughly enjoyed our holiday with no complaints, will definitely visit again.

Is it the most luxurious hotel? No
Could it use some TLC? Yes
We came here with not much expectation but left loving the place. The staff are lovely, the rooms are good enough for what you need them for, the entertainment wasn't the best but sure was entertaining at times 😅
I think the hotel do the best they can do in hard times.
1st day back at home today and we definitely have the holiday blues.

I wouldn't say this is a 4 star hotel, 3 star is more acceptable. We had a 7 night stay, all-inclusive food was OK and no one went hungry, something for everyone. Drink choice is poor up till 5pm, beer or wine soft drink only before 5. Our room was cleaned, towels and bedding changed. Aircon is operating via a old system, you can't adjust the settings. Water in pools was OK, Entertainment could be better, the kids enjoyed the Michael jackson night. Overall, we had a nice holiday.

They are lucky they even got 1* if I could give less I would.
Where do I even begin on this hotel…!
Dirty ran down, I hate to write a bad review but I don’t want people wasting money on staying here like we did.
The rooms are falling apart smelly mouldy rooms. Cleaner didn’t want to clean we had to ask after 3 days for a quick mop and beds to be changed.
The pools…! The smell of sewage around the third pool is unbearable. There is no way you can sit there all day and enjoy the sun. The children’s pool had wires exposed from lights hanging in the pool massive health and safety issue and the middle pool if you were lucky you would be able to get a sun-bed but people left their towels out for two weeks while we were there.
The slides at this hotel look nothing like the photos you see online there is holes up the steps as well as screws being exposed so you need to be careful where you stand once you get to the top there is sludgy fake grass that is never been cleaned.
The hotel staff mainly in reception are very rude and not approachable with any issues that you have regarding the hotel. The entertainment is non-existent and there is definitely no all-inclusive in this hotel to the point that there is one beer pump and wine that isn’t very nice. Ran out of larger on most days. The even cocktails are none existent as well.
The restaurant was hot. You’re sat outside with no Aircon in 38°. It was unbearable. The food in the restaurant was Luke warm no flavour and pretty bland but the staff was lovely.
The location of this hotel is quite far out from any restaurants bars or the beach. If you miss the free shuttle bus it would cost you €10 per taxi ride. We always got a taxi as the bus was old hot and looks like you were lucky to get there.
Overall, I would not rate this hotel as a four star I would say it’s pushing a two* the whole two weeks that we were there ee did wonder how they managed to get a four star.
One of the days there was a fire in the laundry room. There was no staff to be seen helping holiday makers and informing them what was happening. There was families with young children in their arms gone midnight wondering what’s happening? Well done to the bar staff that ran in and put it out before the fire brigade got there shame on the reception staff for not seeing to everyone who was worried!
I’m a great believer in a holidays definitely what you make it. We made this holiday by leaving the hotel which is unfortunate because that’s what you pay for.
Please see attached photos and make your own judgement before booking.

I recently stayed at the Golden Odyssey Hotel in Rhodes and, unfortunately, the experience did not live up to the expectations set by its advertised 4-star rating. There were several issues that made our stay less than enjoyable.
The kids' club was a major disappointment. It was merely a room with a few broken toys, offering no real activities or engagement for children or toddlers throughout the day. For a family-friendly hotel, this was extremely underwhelming. The adult activities were also repetitive, with the same limited options of Zumba, darts, and ping pong offered one activity each day, making the experience monotonous. On Friday we had no animation staff or activities at all!
The room itself was tired and in need of refurbishment, reflecting the overall state of the hotel facilities. We encountered a flashing light in our room, which, to the staff's credit, was fixed within the hour. However, the lack of a proper chest of drawers and insufficient hangers in the cupboards for a family of five forced us to live out of our suitcases for the entire stay. Additionally, the chairs in the room were broken and the air conditioning barely worked, further highlighting the lack of maintenance.
One of the most distressing incidents was the presence of a mouse in our room. Not only did it crawl over me during the night, but it also left droppings on our clothing. When I reported this to reception, they sent someone to lay sticky pad traps. The mouse was caught on one of these traps in the middle of the night, causing a commotion. We had to move the trap to the balcony at 1 am ourselves, which was a highly unpleasant experience.
The restaurant staff were fantastic and very helpful but the menu was repetitive, with the same dishes served daily, and the dessert options were often not replenished. The lack of variety became tiresome after just a few days.
The entertainment options were limited and repetitive. The evening shows were largely the same, with the lead entertainer performing a Michael Jackson tribute act three nights out of our 10-night stay. There was one outside group that performed twice during our stay, but overall, it felt like there was a lack of investment in guest entertainment. Additionally, the entertainment area was small with insufficient seating, making it difficult to find a place to sit and enjoy the shows.
The water slides were one of the few highlights of our stay, although even here, there was a safety concern. The exit ladder to the orange slide was missing its bottom step, making it difficult for smaller children to safely exit the pool. The hotel’s Wi-Fi was nearly non-existent, with very slow speeds that made it almost unusable.
The hotel shop was also problematic, as it appeared that the staff would make up prices on the spot, leading to inconsistent charges. Furthermore, the pictures on the hotel's website were outdated and did not accurately represent the current state of the hotel, especially the outdoor areas, including footpaths and seating areas, which were in poor condition.
Overall, I was disappointed with my stay at the Golden Odyssey Hotel. The experience did not match the advertised quality, and I would not recommend this hotel to others. There are significant areas that need improvement, and in my opinion, it does not meet the standard of a 4-star hotel. I will not be staying here again.
