Starting with the location of the hotel, which is easy to arrive to, and being by the sea, the hotel provides incredible views, along with amazing pools. The restaurant (Dama Dama) is very clean and well organised, and the food is diversified, fresh and delicious, covering each culinary style. The room we had was big, spacious and full of light.
The only downgrade is that even though there is a pool specifically for kids, parents tend to make kids stay in the main pool, which is disturbing, because some people want to relax, including us, which is impossible while hearing kids scream . Besides this, the hotel is beautiful and I would definitely recommend it to everyone.

Spent a nice week at this hotel. The sea is clear and plenty of sun loungers. Never had any problems finding a place.
The food was delicious, plenty of varieties to please everyone.
The staff were also very friendly and helpful.
However after having stayed at other grecotel, we did not feel the standard was as high.
We had booked a room with side sea view, but was quite disappointed with this. You could only see the sea if you stood up in one end of the balcony. Definitely not worth paying extra for. Also instead of double bed, there were two single beds pushed together. Not ideal when sometimes a child wanting to come to stay with the parents.
Another thing was the queues that were quickly building up at the restaurant. If you didn't go straight when they opened, a lot of people had to queue for all the meals. Not great when it's 36 degrees hot, to wait outside without a shade.
We made sure we went when they opened, so didn't really affect us.
Also the cocktails left a lot to be desired for. Very washed out but as we're not big drinkers, this didn't bother us too much.
So all in all, we did have a nice holiday, but feel some improvements could be made.

I recently stayed at Grecotel Dama Dama, and overall, my experience was quite disappointing. I had high expectations, especially considering the reputation of other Grecotel properties, but unfortunately, this particular hotel did not live up to them.
First, the room arrangement was unsatisfactory. Despite booking a double bed, I was given a room with two single beds pushed together. This setup was uncomfortable and not what I had expected for the price I paid.
While the service was adequate, it did not match the level of excellence I have experienced at other Grecotel locations. The staff were generally polite, but there were noticeable gaps in their service quality. One particularly upsetting incident involved a staff member laughing at me. This behavior was unprofessional and made me feel disrespected. No guest should be subjected to such treatment, regardless of their appearance, race, gender, or beliefs.
The food was acceptable, but again, it fell short when compared to other Grecotel hotels. The variety and quality did not meet my expectations, and I found myself missing the exceptional dining experiences I have had at other locations within the chain.
Overall, Grecotel Dama Dama has significant room for improvement, particularly in terms of service and staff behavior. My stay was marred by discomfort and a sense of being undervalued as a guest. I hope the management takes these issues seriously and works towards enhancing the guest experience to align with the standards set by other Grecotel properties.

Have stayed at a grecotel before in crete which was amazing, unfortunately this one fell short of being that. The room we had was on the top floor and very nice with no issues apart from once when I was fully soaped up in the shower and the water went off leaving me to rinse off with cold Bottled water.
Unfortunately the food wasn't anywhere near the quality of our previous stay in crete, even the feature restaurants didn't feel like they were freshly prepared in a different kitchen to the buffet.
The Spa had none of the treatments that were listed on the hotels app for booking them.
The bar service on the beach bar was somewhat slow waiting up to 10 mins to get drinks on several occasions and seemed like people could walk in from neighbouring hotels to get drinks from the all inclusive bar even if they weren't staying.
Not enough sun beds around the pool meaning that you either had to get up early to get 1 or go without.
The Aircon in the main hotel areas was poor and one day wasn't working at all in the reception bar mean it was extremely hot to sit in there for a drink away from the 35° outside temperature.
In conclusion this hotel could be very nice but needs some work to get it up to the standard it should be for the price they are charging for it. The staff are very nice and try to be extremely helpful but I did feel that they were fighting a loosing battle on many occasions.

AMAZING!!! Ignore the bad reviews and book!
From the second we arrived at this hotel we were treated like VIP’s, all the staff are lovely, helpful and fun to be around. We were a family of 5, Grandad, Mum, Dad and kids 15/13. We were all catered for and happy. The large pool is beautiful and there are plenty of loungers with brollies for shade. The smaller pool with the slides are for younger kids, but a great addition.
My wife who is Coeliac was introduced to the head chef (Lefteris) who was so friendly and accommodating and prepared fresh gluten free food for her every day which was unbelievable! There is nothing to complain about at this hotel, I was up early one morning to watch the sunrise and there were cleaners out sweeping, mopping and pressure washing the entire pool/lounger area. The rooms are cleaned and tidied to a very high standard. Everywhere is spotless, the restaurants and buffet are all amazing with great variety.
The shop is also part of the Hotel and is very reasonably priced, although if you can’t find everything you want, there is a little shopping precinct next door.
