Don't stay here if you have a choice, it's awful. Started with the worst check in experience we've ever had.
Arrived late after evening flight, informed hotel in advance of arrival time. Greeted with a paper bag with cardboard tied to it telling us what our reward status with Melia was. Despite asking for a high room if possible we were told they were completely full..arrived at 3rd floor room with a view obstructed by row of solar panels. Safe wouldn't work and whilst waiting for maintenance to call discovered that one of the bed legs was broken, and the handle for the balcony door was hanging off.
Realised that we couldn't sleep in the room so went back down to reception..
Staff at desk couldn't have cared less, still said they were full. We decided to cut our losses and drive to and stay in the Melia Alicante instead as it's brilliant. But couldn't book for the night as it was now past midnight.
Only when the brilliant security man turned up to tell staff about the state of the room, and we showed them videos of the damage that a newly arrived manager said they would allocate another room.
2 hours later and 1am we finally got to an OK room with no damage and an actual view of something other than solar panels.
Next morning was out on balcony and a lighted cigarette landed inched away from me, clearly intended for people sitting on tables many floors below.
Spent the rest of the holiday away from the hotel. The pool would have been OK if there hadn't been constant drilling, dust and noise around it, with bits screened off.
Tried the included breakfast once then ate out for the rest of the time as it was dirty with tables never cleared and food very average in quality, orange juice just tasted of chemicals.
Mentioned our complaints again at check out, filled in a lengthy survey to complain.and asked for someone to contact us.
6 weeks later nobody had.
Just don't stay here, we've been to loads of Melia hotels which are lovely. It's a disgrace of a hotel, terribly run, and just making money from package holidays where guests have no choice.

We came with a group of friends as some of us were sharing special birthdays. The reception staff were efficient and friendly, the shower stopped working which was sorted and fixed straight away. The reason I wanted to write the review was to thank Lidia who worked at the terrace bar, she is a credit to the hotel. She was kind and friendly and always made us smile. She looked after us so well with food and drink which was fantastic.

Positives.....pools are great.
Negatives.....rooms dingy and so outdated would question star rating.
Need to sort the rooms out and refurbish (maybe with walk in showers like so many now have). Bath looked painted and tiling needs attention. Again, pools a good positive.

Good size accommodation with large room and bathroom, nice view from balcony. Huge comfortable beds; tiny fridge.
It's not ideal that you must buy your own water to drink, but maybe this is common practice here in Benidorm.
The room is kept cleaned, and the restaurant is alright.

The location is a good distance from central Benidorm, and there are better restaurants, bars and shops. This is both good and bad, depending on what you expect. At the time I was writing this, the pool back area still wasn't finished renovated.

It's okay not to bad atmosphere is brilliant the lobby I love but it's also the bedrooms are okay but there some stage thing in the bathroom it's looks to be some weird bug dead don't know if it is it's was in the shower but other wise all good
