The hotel it's self is okay. Although if you're English I would highly recommend not staying in this hotel nor turunc.
The hotel staff are 50/50. The women are polite and greet you while the men look at you asif you scum. If you speak Turkish you'll be able to jump ques at the bar, and overall have a more pleasant stay.
The food is atrocious. There are four options morning lunch and dinner, these include two meat options either a pasta potato or rice option and a veg. Other than that salad in served with every meal. It's a traditional Turkish breakfast so gone is your eggs sausage beans and bacon, and replaced with salami, salad and olives. Oh are you're given bread. There's no toast at all. The environment in the hotel is calm and relaxing if you like to keep yourself to yourself but the manger (a big hairy speccy miserable man) will constantly stare you out. The bar is only outside with a very limited range of drinks the beer is efle, seems to be the traditional Turkish option out here, although it does run out so you have to be quick for the two hours they have it serving. The coke ran out twice in The week we stayed other than that you've got your typical no name wines, and spirits. Oh and the soda machines are swarmed with wasps, you lucky if you don't have to get your drink repaired because a wasp has landed in your drink. The hygiene levels are so poor. There's no fly traps or anything around the bar to prevent this.
The hotel it's self is classed as over 16 but the owner will bring in his family and there kids which means just when you thought you was kids free boom you're again surrounded by them.
The turunc towns people on the markets and restaurants said this is classed as the most hated hotel and that he wouldn't recommend anyone english staying here and it's known they down like them.
We went to marmaris on the boat taxi and even there restaurants advised us not to stay at this hotel.
On our 4th night here, at 10pm are door was opened with three Turkish men trying to barge in (meanwhile me and my partner are but naked) we shouted at them to leave, once dressed they came in claiming to service the air con. When asked why are you doing this so late they all claimed they couldn't speak English, messed around on the balcony for 10 minutes and left, the next day we realised one of these men where the owners sons. When trying to get hold of the holiday provider ( on the beach) we rang through 13 times for the phone line to than tell us the phone number no longer exists. There's no point reporting it to the hotel bc yet again no one understands us. This hotel should not be advertised to England as its clear there do not like the english nor would an English person find this hotel a present stay with such language barriers and sharp looks from the owners. The owner does nothing but shout at his staff infront of people, the staff are all students, we witness two girls on there first day just thrown a uniform and put to work with no idea with what they were doing. No other staff were helping, they just stood so helpless with the owner staring at them like a lion ready to pounce for his next meal.
We had a flight back to the UK at 12am Tuesday night but no one at the reception would tell us when our transfer was, it took 3 receptionist to magic a time up (which was a hour later than what we where actually getting picked up at). And after all the miss communication we had our bands cut off us and told we'll have to wait outside for 5 hours till our transfer arrives.
Overall turunc it's self is lovely. The towns people are so friendly and funny, very welcoming but I'll highly advise not staying at the meril club hotel if your native language is English. There are far much better hotels in ichmeler or marmaris where locals are more friendly and accepting of all nationalities.

Great hotel for the price. Cleaning of the room is wished to be better though. Hotel is strong 3star rather than 4 but it is common for Turkey. Food was good, facilities as well. Staff in the restaurant, night shift receptionist and bar are great. Thanks a lot to them! There is always things to be better but it is important to bear in mind the price paid for it before being extra critical.

Not only was this one of the worst hotels I have been in this IS the worst! The staff though do try are constantly dragged away by the owners to wait.on them hand an foot despite serving or speaking to guests. The owners ignore guests unless they are Turkish. The son is around the young guest women plying with free cocktails and drinks even after the bar closes for other guests. He gropes and on at least 1 occasion went to the room with young female guests came back hr later with her following close behind him and him with change of clothing. He then allows guests that are inebriated, fully clothed in the dark to jump in the pool with no one saying anything. This is whilst guests are asleep in rooms surrounding area at 2am. The toilets, the only toilets for guests downstairs has 2 urinals for men and 2 toilets for women. In each set of toilets 1 is broken in each and had been for a good few days previous to our arrival, this was reported by guests before us and from us as they were filthy with urine all over the floor etc. The mens urinal was full and over flowing, brown in colour and smelt terrible. The women's toilets were no better, with 1 toilet also broken and the other filthy with mould and urine all over the seating and floor, Not once was toilet paper of any kind provided. The soap at the sink a guest put in a water bottle as non was provided. The floor is cover in urine and mould built up with dirt and scum all over. Though this has been reported repeatedly not once was it sorted or cleaned. Rooms are not given when u get to hotel as they allow guests to stay longer til they are picked up for their flights for an extra cost of 80 pounds, even though you have booked and purchased the room for arrival. We arrived at the hotel just after 11pm, approx 11.10pm was told that our room was not ready and would take approximately 2hrs to get ready. But we could sit at the bar and have free drinks until the room was ready and a nice delicious sandwich would be prepared for us by their chef personally. We had to leave our luggage at reception and was taken to the bar on the bottom floor. May I just add this is the only bar at the hotel also. We sat were people were drinking an dancing and jumping into the pool fully clothed. 2 women even urinated not 50yrds from where we were sat, behind a tree in full view of us and others but nothing was said. I since found out why due to the state of the toilets. We were each given a drink and proceeded to wait. Within 5 minutes of us receiving our drink the bar was closed. At 12.30am we had no drink, no sandwich and after a long day of travelling and in high heat we were desperate for another drink and our room. My friend whom I was travelling with, went to the reception to enquire to how we were to get another drink as bar was closed and when we were receiving receiving our sandwich. They promptly opened the bar gave us another drink then closed the bar again and said our sandwich would be 10 minutes. At 1pm our sandwich arrived. It was half of a baguette with cubes of cheese, some circular sausage/ luncheon type meat, with quarters of tomatoes and quarters of green peppers including seeds etc. It had no butter or sauce and was extremely dry. Looking like it had just been thrown together from leftovers. But due to be so hungry we each tried to each some. But couldn't eat even half without another drink as was so dry. But we didn't want to keep looking for management or reception to ask. As this meant travelling the lift back and fourth as well as going through the inebriated guests jumping in and put of the pool. So we sat and waited. Our room should of been ready before 1.30am but 1.30am came and went, then 2am the 2.20am the receptionist came to us and stated our room was finally free and the cleaners were on the way to clean it now for us and would be ready in 10 minuets. We were in shock? What had they been doing for the last 3hrs?? We were under the impression that they were cleaning the room already for us? But now they were only just on there way to clean it.

it's not a bad holiday, so ordinary, but I don't recommend it for undemanding people, cleanliness and food are bad, so 3 stars max
M
- Cheap student food. We paid buffet but received nothing
- Broken down hotel, and not maintained well
- Really unorganized and unreliable
- No WiFi in hotel rooms or even in the restaurant
- If you book through an agency, the only thing they care is to take your money. Don't expect any input from them.
This is most certainly not a 4 star hotel. Feels like 2 stars.
On the flip side, the building is nice (when stuff works), the view from the balcony is nice, and it's near the beach.
