The view and swimming in the sea is exceptional but unfortunately the service was not great.. have to wait forever to be served your coffee at breakfast and most of the times after you are done eating. Cleaning service always forget to place either water bottles or coffee sachets and when you order take forever to bring to your room. Cleanliness after they are done with the room suboptimal. Even when we took the electric boat failed to explain fully how to operate it and we almost crashed into the rocks after the boat ran out of charge apparently there is away to re start it which we were never told about and even life jackets half way on our way they remembered and we were brought them to wear half way in the sea. On top of that when told about the safety and regulations the staff argue and became defensive. Even a simple salad I saw a dead warm in it.. no proper apology just was not charged for it. And reserving restaurants at the hotel and even after confirming with them the time we discover none was made saw we had to personally walk into the restaurant to reserve the table. Over all it felt not enough employees and untrained employees in hospitality. My friends had stayed in this hotel several times in the past and they are shocked how the service has declined from previous years. As for me I don’t think I would choose this hotel again unless the service improves dramatically with better trained employees

The facilities were outstanding, and every detail was thoughtfully considered. I particularly enjoyed the peaceful and scenic atmosphere, which provided a perfect blend of relaxation and luxury. The dining options were fantastic, offering a variety of delicious meals, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience.
The attention to detail and level of service truly exceeded my expectations. I would also like to extend special thanks to Safiya and Maybelline for their exceptional hospitality.

Very nice but a bit remote place. Leave in advance for airport transfers to avoid traffic. I liked the range and quality of foods best. The health club also has some decent machines and is less busy in the morning. Everyone was very helpful and friendly as well.

We recently celebrated a family friend birthday at Shangri-la Muscat, and I have to say, the experience was truly unforgettable, thanks to the amazing staff. During our stay, we were completely surprised with a beautifully decorated birthday cake. It was such a thoughtful and delightful gesture that added a special touch to the celebrant.
The cake itself was delicious, and it was clear that a lot of care and making it. The staff’s generosity and attention to detail made us feel incredibly valued and appreciated. At Samba we had our buffet dinner and a lovely surprise that made the celebrant more memorable with another cake and bottle of wine.
Aside from the wonderful birthday treat, the service throughout the evening was impeccable. The staff were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure that everything was perfect.
Thank you, Samba, for making our day special. Your kindness and exceptional service are deeply appreciated. I’ll definitely be returning and recommending your place to friends and family!

The hotel is a family hotel with kids under a certain age go free; this was most annoying at meal times. Should partition a section of restaurant for adults with no kids, perhaps? Tho' hotel is old, still lovely clean and spacious .Excellent service from all staff, with Alex at reception, Amur at concierge, restaurant staff, chefs , housekeeping etc., and all very helpful, friendly and courteous . Thank you. On the beach backed by the Mountains; lovely setting. The other upsetting bit was fuel from ski jets had turned part of the beach black.....
