This place was magical. Visited in March 2024. It was so beautiful and so peaceful. Yes, it is 1.5hr away from the airport so be prepared for a bit of travel but once you get there you can just relax. Upon arrival, during our check in process we were served with a delicious drink, it was non alcoholic and so refreshing! The beach is a short walk across the street (they have their own crossing guards). Private beach area for only guests with a restaurant/ bar on the beach so they can serve you. They put out chairs specifically for you and where you want to sit. There is no lack of shade, which is great. Food throughout the resort was good, no complaints, but we aren't picky. This is not a party kind of resort, very laid back. Perfect for the folks that are just looking to rest and relax. Room was very well air conditioned and shower was great after a day at the beach. We'll be back many many more times!

Can’t say enough about how perfect this place is. If you like to ‘go go go’ then this may not be the resort for you although you can book excursions and find other things to do if that’s your preference.
BUT, if you want to rest & relax in an incredibly beautiful place with unsurpassed beaches then here you go…. this my favorite beach in the world!!
I love that it’s in a bay, there are not waves so if you’re into surfing or body surfing etc. is not that kind of beach but if you’re into floating out into the clear blue water at the perfect temperature - with the sugar white sand - this is the right place!
Food is really good, the service and the staff are exceptional, the lodging is wonderful and obviously as I write this, I just want to rebook 😍

This was the first time here, second for the girlfriend. This is an absolutely awesome place. The staff was by far the best. Within a day or two, they knew you by name and where you were from.
This is different from large chain resorts. The beach was only a short walk away, and even there, they had a nice full bar and a place for you to get food, so you didn't need to walk back to the resort itself.
I would recommend the spa services. We had the outside couples massage. It's absolutely amazing.
It was a good week here, and I will be looking forward to the same time again next year.

We loved our honeymoon at Sunset at the Palms! We felt it was the perfect mix of relaxation and excursions. They have a private beach with a bar, and so many wonderful people to help you blow up floaties, give local recs, etc. (shout out Kevon for giving us a history lesson on bloody bay!) we got a couples massage with Brenda and Devina and I think Brenda may have fixed a shoulder issue I have had for YEARS!! Lynford, one of the best botanists, gave us a wonderful tour of the grounds and hung out with us during our lunch with Betty (the goat!). The treehouses are wonderful (and air conditioned!!) and evenings here were just so peaceful. It really is paradise. AND they have a very friendly tomcat named Tom!! I can’t say enough good things about this resort and how well cared for and safe we felt. I would recommend this resort to everyone I know!!!!

Definitely the best all inclusive we've been to. The staff remember you, they provide that extra service that makes a trip enjoyable, everyone has a great attitude.
The resort is quiet, and is beautiful, it feels like you are in a jungle. Tables are set up beyond for a buffet.
The food is just amazing, the buffet doesn't have a ton of selection because it's a smaller place, but what is there is delicious. They could do better to label for allergies.
The beach is across the street, private, not a far walk at all, and is beautiful. The water is clear and calm. There and plenty of spots with open and covered options.
Night time entertainment is kind of lacking, though doesn't feel needed to be honest.
