Absolutely lovely hotel, perfect location and very clean. Most staff very friendly some not so but that did not spoil our holiday as the lovely staff made up for the others. The ladies checking people in could learn to be more mannerly.
The food was lovely with plenty of choice.
Would have liked more seating for the evening to listen to the entertainment as we did end up going back to our to our room to listen from the balcony. Will definitely return as it was a lovely relaxing hotel

This is a great hotel, right on the beach. The room with balcony was just as we wanted. The service at mealtime varied between excellent and mediocre. We suspected there may have been some staff issues. The food selection was reasonable. The posh restaurant The Noir was great. We went 3 times in 12 nights. Pity the menu was the same. Some nights the live music whilst we were eating was so loud we were unable to carry on a conversation. We commented on this and whether because of this or otherwise it was less intrusive over the last few nights.

A fantastic hotel in a beautiful location. I would have no hesitation staying here again. The staff were great and very helpful. The meals could be improved as not very nice. There is a snack bar but could do with introducing wraps or Rotis to the menu along with the existing food. Ignore the reviews and make your own mind up. If the food was improved the hotel would be out of this world.

The main restaurant at The Sands Barbados known as “On the Water” caters to both buffet style and A la carte dining.
Generally the system works well when there is a buffet style meal, however, the food is not replenished often enough, often leaving chafing dishes empty.
At least twice a week the “On the Water” restaurant serve an “A la carte” lunch and dinner. The seating at the restaurant is limited, so they offer various sittings where you have to pre-book a time, often not getting your preferred choice.
When it is an “A la carte” meal the system fails totally. The insufficient servers and kitchen staff cannot keep up with the demand, consequently the guests wait in-line for long periods to be seated, and then again to be served, leaving them frustrated and annoyed.

Beautiful scenery. Only air conditioning is in the bedroom. Outdoor bar and restaurant, so no where to go if you want to cool down. Rooms a bit shabby, and basic. Definitely not 4 star. See what dinner is like tonight.
