We recently stayed the Sugar Cane Club with a group of about 14 adults. The grounds are nice, rooms were clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I’d recommend this resort to anyone who doesn’t like noise, truly wants to relax, and doesn’t need any after hours entertainment. We didn’t get the all inclusive option as we spent a lot of our time off the resort. We were basically the only guests with the exception of maybe one or two other couples. One of the staff members explained that we were visiting during the slow season. It is an extremely quiet resort. There wasn’t any entertainment/shows, one restaurant option, and only the main bar was open during our entire stay. The staff was very accommodating and even helped us get food a little after closing one night. The King fish was excellent! Ricardo and Rashidi at the bar were fun and made great drinks! Our group was a mixture of older and younger people. The pool closed early (maybe around 8pm) and the younger guests in our group were bored. There was a little room off the pool where a few of us stayed up to play games a couple evenings, but we would have loved a show, a themed party or any form of resort entertainment at night. We probably went to bed around 9 or 10pm nightly. We did love the beautiful grounds and staff, but because of the lack of activities and our personal preferences, we would choose a more lively resort during our next visit to Barbados. Again, we understand this may have been due to the season, so you may have a more exciting experience during peak season. Try it out - especially if you need an oasis away to enjoy peace and quiet!

My first time in Barbados (airport was amazingly easy and friendly compared to alot of others I've been to), airport shuttle called me out by name, Julie drove me to my hotel, super friendly, we chatted the whole way. Sugar Cane is amazing if you want peace n quiet and that's what i love (i went in June so rainy season but it was still super hot and the vegetation lush n beautiful). The staff are extremely professional and the food service is like fine dining! Food -amazing!!! The grounds are very well kept and the pool sufficient for cooling off and small swim. The spa is also extremely professional and has a multitude of services, loved going in there. Due to when I arrived, I didn't get all the excursions in that I wanted but I did do the mount gay rum tour (highly suggest) and the wildlife reserve (i just took a taxi over cause its close). I cannot say enough about this lil resort, I miss it already and will definitely be back! Oh ya, daily visits by the green monkeys around 5ish as they'll bombard the huge mango tree. You'll need to shuttle to the ocean but I believe you're better off doing an excursion or two that'll get you to some different beaches. Absolutely a 10/10.🍹✈️🩵🇧🇧😎 one more thing, English everywhere, felt so comfortable.

What can I say about this hotel but that it is a well hidden gem here in barbados👌🏽....the management and staff made both me and my husband's stay there very special and for that I say thank you from the bottom and top of my heart for the excellent service given and shown to us, especially during the passage of hurricane beryl for that I will give you 5💫💫💫💫💫 .....we can't wait to return next year❤️❤️❤️

I can’t say enough about this hidden gem in Barbados. From the moment we arrived until the moment we checked out ten days later, everything was perfect. The common areas and rooms are immaculate, the staff friendly and attentive, and the property beautiful. We did not do the all inclusive option as we wanted to venture off the property, however, we found ourselves there more than away. The Sugar Cane Club is just up the hill from Speightstown and is close to beautiful beaches and great restaurants, should you want to get out. The on site dining is excellent and not like a typical all inclusive. The breakfast buffet changed daily and lunch could be served poolside or in the restaurant. But dinner…..dinner was spectacular. The Chatel Bar was away from the rest of the resort and the ambiance and sounds of the animals was peaceful. The pool buffet was also fantastic. Several employees swooped in and transformed the pool from a place to lounge into fine dining complete with candlelight and live music. I shed a tear leaving this little Caribbean oasis and I can’t wait to get back.

Just a few things from our recent stay . Room. 1. The ill fitting door made it very noisy, with the delivery road, customer traffic and the main road itself. 2. Poor maintenance of lights on the stairs, making it a bit dangerous at night. 3. Why only one bedside cabinet and light? With no access to power to charge mobile devices. Surely there should be two, each with separate lights. 4. The only bedside cabinet also houses the fridge which is running 24/7. It should be elsewhere in the room as its very noisy. 5. The bathroom mirror frame prevents the use of the plug in the sink. Try it, you'll see. 6. Bed was extremely comfortable. Pillows were luxurious. 7. Shower exceptional and reliable. 8. Despite lots of notices about security, our patio door didn't actually lock. Even with the lock set, the door could be opened from outside and inside. Complex. 1. The Thursday night entertainment "DJ Radar" got upset that people weren't dancing and kept stopping the music and then berating the audience. In the end he packed up like a petulant child and finished early. The Friday and Saturday entertainment was so much better. Maybe DJ Radar needs reminding that he is there to entertain us, not the other way around. 2. The staff at the Sunset and Beach bar are wonderful. Extremely warm and friendly, even when rushed off their feet. Nothing was too much trouble for them. 3. Smoking. It's 2024, surely you should be a smoke free site by now. There's nothing worse than having to weave your way through a huddle of smokers by the restaurant doors, or having smoke blowing into the bar seating areas. Maybe the smokers need special smoking areas to satisfy their habit like they do at Disney World. 4. Love thy neighbours. Having the cleanup crew remove all the glasses and debris from the public beach and wall adjacent to the steps towards Sandy Lane Beach.

We just checked out yesterday. Upon checking out was given a bill for over 300.00 for resort taxes. 47.00 per night!!!! Totally ridiculous!!! Spa staff were very nice but other staff members not so friendly. Servers at the restaurants were not very friendly at all. Always had to wait for drinks or your dishes to be taken off the table. Seemed like they were doing you a favor. Buffett was not much of a variety at all. After 5pm there is no place to get late night snacks. Not very accommodating. Besides the rooms, resort was very run down. In need of major upgrade!!!! The pool area was very dirty . Most resorts hose down the area or use a blower to remove debris , but during whole week nothing was done. I complained n nothing was still not done. This resort does not cater to their customers at all. Very unfortunate as it was a nice peaceful stay and located in very safe area.

We are leaving this quaint hotel and it was perfect for adults that simply want to relax. Staff here is AMAZING! Neal is one of the supervisors and I'm pretty convinced there is nothing he doesn't do. When the dining room got crowded- he jumped in. He mixed drinks when an extra set of hands was needed as well. He also was very friendly and made great conversation! Tre is AMAZING behind the bar! He made one of the best mojitos I've ever had and his espresso martini is top notch! Hw even took note a day we went to the beach and he remembered how I take my mojito and had one sent down to me. Christina runs the entire dining area at this time of year with a smile and grace! I'm gluten free and the hotel did not have many options to accommodate that, she went above and beyond especially at tea time. Beach The beach area is STUNNING! I love that it is a natural beach so there are plenty of waves. Morning stretching and yoga was great at 7am! There are always plenty of very friendly locals. We were not once harassed with people trying to sell us items. Pool We loved the pool. It was refreshing even though it was consistently 95 or hotter. This shower to rinse off from the beach does need to be fixed. It is pretty much useless. And the radio that plays music goes in and out, which is disappointing. Rooftop I have NO IDEA why this hotel is not utilizing their roof top area. There should 100% be at least a bar/lounge area up there. We went to Cafe luna two doors down and they did an amazing job. Abidah should be putting a mobile bar up there, some bistro tables, string lights. It is prime real estate with an amazing view and it's just being left empty. Entertainment There is NONE. It didn't really bother us, but i mean even the music system was not reliable by the bar at night. They could easily set up karaoke a few nights a week for their guests. We were also here in the off season so I'm sure this did not help. Room We had Room 302 which is oceanview with two balconies and was gorgeous. Our air went out one night at 3am but maintenance had it fixed in 15 min. We also had an issue with them regulating our shower water temperature. House keeping came daily and we were always impressed. I just wish they would leave more towels. The robes in the room are lovely. Room Service None. We were disappointed we couldn't order a bottle of wine or a fruit platter to the room. This could easily be an additional on that generates money for them. Food We had no issues with the food. Breakfast was my least favorite, but honestly we never went hungry. Lunch was always delicious. Dinners are a different theme every night. Nearby Acitivites When you check in they should give you a map of the local area with things you can walk to and spots not to miss. This would have been amazingly helpful! Overall, if you want a chill relaxing vibe with only adults, you'll be happy here.

This hotel was phenomenal, the service was great from the beginning of our stay even when we we’re leaving. They were there for our every need even when food wasn’t on the menu the chef would always make it when asked. All of the staff were wonderful and when visiting Barbados 🇧🇧 you have to stay here the location is close to oistins and less than a minute walk to Miami Beach 🏝️ you can see the beach clearly from your hotel. Food is amazing and fresh all the time. If you’re planning to visit Barbados 🇧🇧 you have to stay here.

Booked theough Expedia. The open air hallways also allowed the rain to come right in, wetting the carpet. This may explain the funny, humid like smell in the hallways and room. The first day, there were no face towels as the hotel "ran out." By day 4, there were also no more handtowels. The room cleaning thus far has consisted of the bed being made. When we arrived, the room had coffee, tea, and two bottles of water. The linens have not been changed since arrival, which is not a deal breaker, but with sandy floors, it does make its way into the sheets. The hotel does not have any umbrellas for guest use or beach bags as advertised. Guests do have the option of going to the sister hotel if "available" M-F with a limit of 2 times. The staff are friendly and attempt to be helpful.

I recently made reservations at The Abida in celebration of 2 special birthdays and was left unsatisfied due to the manner in which my reservation was handled. I cancelled the reservation approximately 30 mins after I checked in. WhenI I booked I was told that I can use the amenities at Accra Hotel as well. When enquiring about a massage appt I was told that I was not allowed to ride the shuttle with the visitors because I checked in as a local with a staycation and that was not the policy. The room I was assigned to was also downgraded as well! I felt discriminated against and when I enquired about canceling the reservation I was not asked what my queries were and neither was I offered a supervisor or manager to speak to. Upon further speaking to reservations I was told that the information I was given was false. I was promised a call a few days ago and never received a call. I've sent 2 emails with no response. This hotel came highly recommended but my experience there was not what I expected.

Wife and I vacationed here in July of 2024. We have visited Marriott properties and all-inclusive resorts in several different countries. This was our worst experience to date. The staff was friendly, but the service was beyond slow. We had to ask multiple times to get more water refills at meals. We offered if they would give us a pitcher we would refill ourselves, but they apparently have a policy to not allow that. Then they promised to be more prompt, and we still waiting constantly for refills. The same happened at the adult-only pool. Servers came by so infrequently, we would order a beverage and it would take a long time for the server to return. Then we would be finished and want another but constantly had to wait. There was no bar open anywhere near the pool for us get out and order something ourselves or we would have happily done so. The servers, seemingly had to cross the street to the beach-side part of the property (which isn't adults-only) to get orders then walk back. It was frustrating and unenjoyable. The food options were limited and meals were mediocre at best, so we actually cut our trip short and left after a 3 days even though we were supposed to stay for 5 days. The worst part of the experience was that management showed a deep level of concern as to why we were leaving (which was great) but then made promises to refund our points we used for the days we didn't stay. It was a nice gesture and appreciated as we did not ask for anything. Three months has past, I've checked in periodically but no action has been taken. I continue to get told it is because of inaction at the corporate level and the resort seems to indicate that it is out of their hands now. It would have been better if they never offered any restitution at all if they couldn't ensure to follow through with that offer. The country of Barbados is beautiful. The people were kind. But I would not recommend staying at this property.

My partner and I visited Barbados for the first time to celebrate his birthday end of Sep - early October. We stayed at Waves for a week and had the most amazing time. The location of the hotel is spectacular, we had an ocean view suite and our meals were all included- one thing to note, the all inclusive at this hotel is a bit different from what one normally would experience- the breakfast options are limited and the same every day, lunch is a buffet set up with a few options that vary every other day. Dinner is a limited ala carte menu as well, which also has a few variations here and there. I’m guessing it’s because they aren’t a really big hotel so having a large buffet set ups would lead to a lot of wastage. I love that if you get hungry or miss dinner, they put out sandwiches late at night that you can grab and when you are on the beach they will keep coming around to take your drinks order and serve popsicles and cold fruit when it’s sweltering hot. There are water activities also included as part of the stay. The hotel is a bit outdated in some areas, so it looks a bit shabby but the cleanliness is maintained well and they are currently going through some renovations. Overall what made this an amazing experience is the hotel staff who were just lovely to interact with and so warm. In all the years I’ve travelled to various destinations, this was the first experience of having met people who are so caring, considerate and give off such a positive vibe at every interaction. Big shout out to Tamisha, Derek, Christine, Ashani, Astrid, Claudia, Loreal and Andre - you guys are just awesome - Thank you 🙏

This was our sixth all-inclusive and definitely the worst we've ever been to. Our room was tiny and across a busy street with a unimpressive view of the adult pool. The water in the shower got lukewarm at best. Just trying to hydrate/get water refills was a challenge, so having good cocktail service was a pipe-dream! The pool closed at 6, there was no real entertainment, and literally nothing to do. Worst of all was probably the food....our meal-rating system became 'is this edible?' We were booked for 5 nights but were so disappointed in the property that we cut our trip short, changed flights, and flew back to the U.S. after only 3 nights. We are Marriott Titanium Elite members and booked on points. Marriott members - this is below a Fairfield level hotel in the U.S. The front desk staff was friendly as was the manager, but it seems as though Marriott may need to offer them a lot more support and investment to make this property what it could be, but isn't. *Add: it seemed many of the other guests were from the UK. As my friend from there said - they have fewer beach-island options, so reviewers from there might find this property acceptable.....*

This is different from other reviews. Why??“They’re not like us” It came close the equivalent of a red carpet treatment. On every eye contact we made the AGM followed us to ensure we had an excellent experience. The waiter “Antonie” and waitstaff went above and beyond! Yes.. the property is dated, but very clean. Updated flooring and furniture softens the blow, but major revitalization is needed. The Beach has no wow factor, nor does the food. Parking is tight. Please dine offsite 30min from BGI, 20min from town. Please absolutely enjoy this property Signed “Not like us” -Kendrick

The beach and views at the Fairmont are nothing short of spectacular the rooms are lovely we spent a lot of time either at the beach or on are balconies enjoying the amazing views everyone was super friendly the food was always good. It is on the expensive side but it is a lovely place to stay and we enjoyed it thoroughly the only thing that surprised us where the crickets at night time. I have never heard so many crickets it was actually quite loud you don't hear them on the beach side but you definitely hear them on the Courtyard side just FYI you may need earplugs but Hey there are worse things to listen to lol

If you’re looking for a true 5 star luxury hotel to stay at, This fairmont will leave you sorely disappointed. We checked into our room, and found out that no rooms had working mini bars, my night table had some debris still left on it, and the dated rooms was showing signs of extreme wear. The silver on the mirror was coming off, there were light switches that were painted black that were chipping and the bedding was hard and lumpy. The televisions, while even having a button for Netflix, was not equipped to act as a smart TV, something very sad this day and age. Some of the service staff were very nice, and others would avoid eye contact or interaction, not even looking up when you stood at the front desk. The rooms manager Michael was great, and tried to do his best to make this tired old hotel feel nicer than it is. The hotel breakfast is budget business hotel quality, and at least at those hotels you can make a fresh waffle and not eat one that’s been sitting in a steam table getting crunchy on the bottom and soggy on top. There was no spread of juices, or anything that would be expected at a luxury resort breakfast bar, just the same recycled foods, overcooked breakfast meats and yogurt. They didn’t inform us, nor others, that they had the ability to make espresso drinks until our 5th day there, but in day 6, that machine was broken. The location is ok if you want to be far away from everyone, but the beach is decent. We found that if we wanted to do a rum tour or go to a restaurant it was 35-45 minutes to most places. We had a car, so it was ok, but some of the rum distilleries quoted us $130 Bajian ($65 USD)for round trip. If you have a car, their parking lot is in disrepair, broken pavement and pot holes. The pool is rather small, but you do have warm ocean water steps away, but usually luxury hotels will have an amazing pool, and a beach, this one just rested on having a beach. Overall nothing horrible happened, the staff did bring a mini birthday cake to celebrate my birthday twice, but it was by no means luxury, or like anything else from a Fairmount, or upper class Accor hotel.

This resort is so spectacular, and I’ve been here less than 24 hours and already feel compelled to leave a review. From the MOMENT we stepped into the hotel we were blown away with the hospitality. We showed up with a flat tire and the staff immediately helped us call someone to come fix it for us. I’ve never been to a resort where everyone is just SO KIND and wants to help. Special shout out to Hakeem, the Food and Bev manager of the restaurant, Glain from the front desk, and Micheal, the director of the rooms, for helping us coordinate activities throughout the week!! Aside from the 10/10 hospitality, the resort itself is stunning. We are on our honeymoon and as soon as we walked into our ocean front room, we were greeted to a bottle of champagne and rose pedals on the bed. The beach is also spectacular with crystal clear blue water and white powder sand beaches. I could not be more thrilled we chose to stay here for our honeymoon. I read a review that someone said the resort felt a little run down so I was a little nervous, but I don’t agree with that at all, and I’ve been to some pretty nice places!! You will not be disappointed if you stay here.

One of the best resorts I have ever stayed at. It was the epitome of luxury & high class service. As soon as we came off the plane, we were greeted by a representative from Fairmont. Who fast tracked us through customs & to collect our luggage. We had organised with them before our holiday for their transfer service. This was a smooth & efficient service. As we travelled with our baby, they provided a suitable car seat for him too. Upon arrival at the resort we were greeted by their friendly reception staff and a choice of refreshing drinks. The great service carried on upon check in as they had accommodated us by ensuring our room was right next to an elevator for our pram. The service throughout our stay was five star standard and beyond. They were very friendly, accommodating & always went out of their way for us. It was nice to also see the staff friendly with our baby, giving him lots of attention & keeping him entertained. The beach space is plentiful & stretches quite a long way across the resort. There was always a sunbed available both at the beach and pool area. They have a beach bar to quench your thirst during the long walks along the beach in the heat. The rooms themselves were comfortable, spacious & had all the usual touches of luxury you would expect from a five star resort. The view from our room (and all the rooms), facing out to the beach & sea, was incredible. We were able to watch the sunset every evening. The food at the resort was of a high standard too. The buffet breakfast was both delicious and varied. The Palm Terrace dinner we had was lovely & Taboras restaurant, by the pool & beach, also served up good food. A great perk of the resort was that a child under the age of 5 ate for free. Even room service! We felt this was a very nice touch as our baby felt more comfortable in the room during the evenings. The hotel offered free Yoga and Pilate sessions at the beach in the morning which my wife enjoyed. Overall I could not recommend Fairmont Royal Pavilon enough. The resort is fantastic, the service is impeccable & it really felt like a luxury 5 star stay. We will definitely be holidaying there again!

The Coral Reef Club in Barbados is pure paradise! The stunning beachfront location, luxurious rooms, and top-notch service make for an unforgettable stay. The staff are incredibly warm and attentive, going above and beyond to ensure every moment is perfect. The gardens are beautiful, the food is delicious, and the spa is world-class. I cannot say enough about this wonderful resort. From the minute we arrived we were greeted by the reception desk warmly, quickly offered a beverage while we waited the short 5 minutes for Prince to collect our luggage and deliver to our room. The manager walked us to our room to give us a quick tour. The water is clear and calm, towels are always readily available. Beach chairs with umbrellas are always available anytime of the day, beach service to include anything from ice water to rum punch is quick and pleasant. The housekeeping staff keeps the room crisp and clean, to include turndown service. There is no need to leave the resort for food every meal we have had has been wonderful, with great service. I do not think I have ever met a staff that loves their job as much as the Coral Reef staff. We walked to Holetown, it was a quick 15 minute walk, at all times we felt very safe both in and off the resort. This is by far our favorite trip to the Caribbean.

5*. Some slight dips in service level dependent on who is working a specific shift. Cocktails on the beach at sunset should be a thing here. Accommodations and grounds are first class. Worth a visit.

My husband and I stayed at Sandals Barbados for eight days the beginning of September, 2024. We had the best time, we loved the resort and we really loved the beach. Our room had the best view of the pool and the ocean. We had a leak in the bathroom ceiling our first full day there, I left a message in GINA and within two hours the leak was taken care of. We found the grounds of the resort to be very well maintained, the staff were fantastic, we enjoyed everyone we encountered. The food and the drinks were also great. We didn’t have a bad meal. We are already looking forward to going back!

My husband and I booked Sandals Barbados after a fabulous visit at another Sandals. The visit to the Sandals Barbados left us disappointed as we really love Sandals. We booked a room with a view and the view did not disappoint! However, the room was old and really needed updated. There was mold all over the tub, the ac unit never got cool and dripped over the wall. We complained about our toilet leaking and it never got fixed. The grounds keepers did a phenomenal job at keeping the gardens and exterior looking great. The rooms just need some TLC. The drinks were great and the service staff were very nice! We had 2 spa treatments and really enjoyed those. I highly recommend the spa! Activities at the resort were also amazing. The food was off at this Sandals. My steaks were always overcooked and the proteins were dry. It just wasn’t Sandals quality that we have experienced. Overall we had a nice time. We were just a little disappointed in the quality that we have come to love with Sandals.

Can't say enough about the great time we had, in the late spring of 2024. This was one of our most enjoyable vacations. The service was exceptional, the staff (and everyone on the island) is extremely friendly and helpful from the manager to the landscapers. The restaurants, bars, and facilities are very good (you have to remember this is an all inclusive) and we have nothing but good things to say about this resort. Whoever manages this location is doing a great job!

Absolutely incredible resort! Sandals Royal is adjacent to Sandals Barbados, it's hard to even tell which property you're on, so you get two resorts in one! The beach is gorgeous, the rock barrier keeps the ocean lounge-able. Our room was amazing, just wish we had asked for a mattress topper ahead of time. There were so many restaurants to choose from, I wish I had researched reviews beforehand as well. Some were excellent, a few I wouldn't go back. The service was hit and miss here, and dinner always took two hours, so bring lots of conversation topics to the meal because there's a lot of waiting going on. We brought our own reusable straws because they only have cardboard ones (pro tip). We are definitely going back!

Check in should be rated a 0. Everyone else in the lounge was checked in within an hour after arriving at 2:30. It was almost 7pm before we were put in a room and they just kept saying it will be a little longer and would never provide a time. We were never given a time until I asked to see a manager after 5pm. The overall service at this property is extremely slow. Due to the current and waves you can never use any of the water sport activities. Plan for delivery of food at dinner to take 2 hours every night. Beautiful property, it was not at Max capacity so they should have checked us in a different room vs making us wait 4.5 hours.

Really impressed with the hotel however we found the majority of the staff rude , rolling their eyes in front of us & behind guests backs … we are a friendly polite & sociable couple but this made no difference to the waiting staff & supervisor at breakfast, lunch & dinner . Destiny ,front of house was amazing & new so I hope she won’t get tarnished by the older staff who clearly don’t respect the clients . We also had a hand written tip added to one of our dinner bills which we forgot to add to …… not impressed. We will not return to to just the attitude of the staff …. Such a shame

Myself and my partner spent 9 days at Treasure Beach and had the greatest time, it's really nice having a boutique hotel with less rooms, the staff know your orders and names after a couple of days. The ground floor pool view room was brillant, it was very spacious having the separate living area and large bathroom as well as the gigantic Bed. Small entertainment every other night was nice to hear over dinner. Saxophone, keyboard players and a singer, really enhanced the evening. All inclusive selection was great, unlimted wines, champagne, beer and cocktails and most importantly the food was at another level, all food is made from order and there chef is brillant - i had some of the best fish i've ever had, lunch menu was good especially Taco Tuesday. Perfect for couples who are wanting to relax and receive the best customer service.

I had the butler service, and all three butlers were amazing! I had a Rondoval room that was awesome. It was a little quiet for me, and everything seemed to close down by 10 p.m., but I still had a great time. Neptune's and Dino's are the go-to spots for a quick bite. The rooftop pool is a great place to go and relax in the evening. Watching the sunset from there was really nice. I would recommend going to this resort.

My husband and I stayed 7 days here. The staff members were very nice, and the entertainment was amazing. Each night, there was a theme, and there were so many places to eat. There were lots of pools to choose from, and the view of the ocean from the beach was phenomenal. You have access to both resorts here; Royal Barbados and Barbados. Most places are about a 5-6 minute walk if you're going from one side to the other, so not bad at all. There were four restaurants that you needed reservations for, so I recommend you make those the same day you check in. Of all the restaurants (we ate at about 10 of them and there are about 15), I had the best experience at Kimonos. Definitely try that place out! The shuttle from the airport is only about 15-20 minutes long, so not as far as most other Sandals resorts. If you're looking to enjoy sitting next to a pool that's not very crowded, go up to Sky Terrace. It's very relaxing up there, and there's an amazing view. You also don't need to wait forever at the bar since most people are at the other pools.

I like Sandals properties however I feel the service here could be better. We happen to arrive here during Hurricane season and it was a rough two days. The communication was poor, it started off good but fell off along the way. The workers were not nice or friendly and didn't offer much information probably because they didn't know. The upside I had a great sales associate that was very helpful to me and my group. (See photos) I love that the resort is adults only, the variety of restaurants, bars and activities are great. Since it was a stormy week, we didn't see any of the nightly shows. I forgot to mention the bowling alley was fun. However there was only two working lanes and one kept breaking down while we bowled. So basically they only have one working lane. They need a bowling alley special technician. Overall it was a good experience.3.5 stars The room shown is a private villa!

This is my 4th time at Sandals. Currently, this Sandals is the most boring, unclean, unfriendly, attitude-filled, resort I’ve ever been to. Nearly every event that is scheduled at the pools are not conducted. There is no music at the pools on Royal side. There is only music at Barbados side for around 2 hours daily. Bartenders on Barbados side will not come to the pool-level bar. Reservations booked by butlers are apparently fake and the restaurants are refusing to seat us. This resort is clearly understaffed and had serious downgrades in recent years. There is no reason for a wait over an hour at restaurants that are less than half capacity. We’ve been notified by a multitude of other unsatisfied guests that they have received downgraded rooms from what they paid for and were only accommodated with spa credit. They were not notified until arriving at the resort. We were also notified of 200+ employees being “laid off” shortly before our arrival. As a result, many other customers who have been here previously are now stating this resort WAS a good resort prior.

My new wife and I spent our honeymoon in a South Seas Walkout Crystal Lagoon Club Level Junior Palm Suite with Patio Tranquility Soaking Tub in the Cassia building and it was perfect. The room was well appointed and the staff always promptly refilled the bar and we even got turndown service. Contrary to other reviews, there were no issues with towels- we found plenty for the pool/beach, and the in-room bath towels were replenished by housekeeping. The lagoon pool outside our room was clean and peaceful. The ocean swimming was the best I’ve experienced at any Sandals resort. There was some seaweed but not enough to make a difference. Local merchants on the beach offered various services but were not bothersome. All of the dining was excellent and featured many vegan/vegetarian options. Most importantly, the staff were all very helpful and friendly. We will definitely consider returning to Sandals Royal Barbados!

I am incredibly disappointed with the management of the Elegant chain . We had a confirmed booking at Waves Barbados, but they changed our hotel last minute, offering us their sister property, The Coral then The House etc. This was extremely inconvenient and caused a lot of stress as we had planned everything around staying at Waves. To make matters worse, communication was dreadful. They took ages to reply to our emails, leaving us in the dark and anxious about our accommodation. This level of service is unacceptable, especially given the reputation and cost of staying at such an establishment. I sincerely hope our stay improves, but this has left a very bad taste in our mouths. Avoid if you want a hassle-free vacation.

Stayed for our honeymoon. It started great, The staff were very friendley, and the views are superb. However management descided our honeymoon is unimportant. They overbooked the hotel, someone did a buyout. We were forced to pack and move nexdoor to a different hotel with minimal notice, and no compensation. We were not told at check-in. I would warn against long trips here. We would have just cut the honeymoon a day shorter if we had any notice. Worst part is leaving a sour tasts at the end of what was supposed to be a fantastic honeymoon. Not shure we will be returning. UPDATE: This hotels management is a nightmare. Even Marriot had a hard time reaching the house to resolve our issues. We managed to get a partial refund after months of hounding. We won't ever visit here again. And you sould stay someplace else.

My husband and I stayed at this resort for our Anniversary. We were very disappointed in the customer service. They gave us a room that did not lock. Only the first door locked not the second door that’s used to enter the room. We had to push furniture up against the door to feel safe the first night because no one could help us. The next day we communicated with them about our door not locking so they assured us it would be fixed. My husband and I went back to our room after being provided a different key. The door was already unlocked so we assumed the key was working. We left back out for awhile and upon entering our room the second door did not lock. We made CS aware and they again told us they had it fixed. Well my husband seen the staff climb over the balcony and went in thru the patio door to unlock the door so we could enter our room. Once again no one was available to fix the lock. Again we had to push furniture up to the door to feel safe. Next issue the room had a smell. It reminded me of a sewer smell. We asked staff if we could change rooms and they told us the resort was sold out. So we was forced to stay in that room with sewer smell. Lastly, we scheduled a massage a week before arrival. When we went down to the spa no one was there. We waited there almost an hour an no one showed. They finally told us the lady who works in the spa called in. I asked why weren’t notified instead of wasting an hour of our day sitting here. No one had an answer for us. Our Anniversary trip was ruined. Not to mention the amount of money spent to get to Barbados

The House was a wonderful situated boutique hotel on the most beautiful beach. The staff was very attentive and very sweet. A shout out to Andrew and Kobie (spelling on Kobie). They were great at their jobs and were so personable. The food was great and the bar was always hoping. From oysters and champagne on the beach to the rum punch being served beach side, we had a fabulous time.

Having had 10 days there found the place brilliant but a bit tired, staff were excellent very willing to help at all times. Loads of walks on the beach, people very friendly. Had a tour round the island and found the driver Charles very knowledgeable. Had a catamaran trip (cool running) the staff and food brilliant.
