so I am writing this review Based on our personal experience compared to what other people had to say for This resort. We attended for our honeymoon. We are only 24 years old so maybe that’s why we don’t have as many complaints as some of the older couples. First off I don’t believe any all-inclusive resort can be five stars unless everything is absolutely perfect. We attended sandals, Royal Barbados, for Six nights. I’m going to start with the pros and the cons of this resort. The pros is everything is all inclusive. We ate at a majority of the restaurants for dinner. Depending on where you eat, some service was better than others. The steakhouse and Hibachi Restaurants definitely had the best service and the food quality was also really good. The Indian restaurant Was also very good. We never received bad service whatsoever. Our drink stayed filled, Our food came out quickly, And the food quality was good as well. Yes, some workers were friendlier than others. But the service itself was never bad. We stayed at a club level hotel room. It came with some benefits, like having a full stock liquor, A soaking bathtub on the balcony, And room service. We only use room service once for our last morning there which actually was perfect since we were packing up and even the food service quality was pretty good. Our least favorite spot to eat was the American restaurant. Service wasn’t bad, but food quality was definitely better at a lot of other spots. As far as the bars go, All the pool bars were busy for the most. But I believe it was the calypso pool with a swim up bar was the friendliest, And also had the best tasting drinks. Yes, if you watch what they do behind the bars, there could be more sanitary ways of cleaning the cups rather than dipping it into some soapy water and then rinsing it. But if you are concerned about the cleanliness of the cups, the resort does let you bring your own cups to fill with your drinks Which is awesome. The beaches are very clean, Along with the resort itself and they do try to keep it well-maintained. There are workers that go around taking photos which they do not charge you immediately. You pick at the end of the trip if you even want to purchase any photos. There are also people from the spa. Nobody was pushy at all with us and if we said no They were very kind, smiled and walked away. Our room was always cleaned, I did leave tips for the cleaning workers just so we can get a few extra things like extra towels or water. Granted this was our honeymoon so we stayed at a little bit nicer of a room, but for the cost difference I think we would just go to a basic room the next time if we went to another sandals. The entertainment team was fun with activities and the live music they did each night was good as well. The cons of the resort is when most things are closed after dinner it’s pretty difficult to get some water. A lot of the bars were running out of water bottles including the main lobby. Only one pool had a dj, the other spots I think could use some light music. One more thing I would say for them to improve on could be the pools, we never had a problem finding a spot but there were definitely towels laid out for people who never used them or the seats. I get it’s tough to figure that out but lots of seating was taken and never used. Overall we enjoyed our time and we would most likely visit at another resort in the future.

Overall beautiful resort. The rooms were clean and staff were welcoming and friendly. The food was just okay. Our favorite spot to eat was the French breakfast (omelet and hash brown). Definitely recommend the live performances that start at 9 PM.

We enjoyed a week at Sandals Barbados but not without a few issues. The resort is lovely, the location is great and there are plenty of restaurants and pools to enjoy. We had a butter service, which was OK, but not really that necessary for us. With all the good, we had 2 major issues! First, our room was not cleaned for 2 consecutive days!!! We had to make someone solve the issue the second day! Nobody took the initiative to correct it the first day! This was VERY inconvenient!!! The positive on this was that once they sent someone to clean it the second day, they sent 2 OUTSTANDING individuals, Amanda & Joseph!!!!!! They should win “Employees of the Month”, in my book!!! They worked hard, quickly and were VERY pleasant!!! Second, it took me 2 hours, over 2 days, to get a false $60 taxi charge off my bill before we could checkout! They wouldn’t accept my word that we never used a taxi but finally got another room’s butler to admit he charged it to the wrong room! Again, we loved the actual resort and most all of the staff but I would not spent that amount of money to go there again, after what we experienced.

We stayed at the Sandals Barbados in Jan 2025 and it was wonderful! We were in a Caribbean deluxe room Garden view. We enjoyed the restaurants at both the sandals, Barbados, and sandals royal Barbados. The beach, water pools, food , bars, entertainment everything was just fabulous. This was really the most relaxing vacation we have had! We’ll be back.

This was my first time at a Sandals Resort and I was very impress with the service and staff. We got a private villa so keep that in mind about my review!! It came with 24/7 butler service and out of the 3 butler's we had 2 of them made that trip special, every time they saw us they had drinks for us or food and were one step ahead of us. The other person did not really care about us but luckily only had him for one day. We enjoyed how big this Resort is as it's connected to a budget friendly Sandals resort but shared the same space. The only cons were that they were remodeling the resort at the time and food was ok but nothing special. The room was nice but needed remodeling for the price we paid. Would highly recommend but not for a villa as its highly priced. I am coming back next year to a different Sandals resort.
