The hotel was really nice. The food was good. The drinks were excellent. The service was very good. I would like to go back one day hopefully they fill up my minibar. Rambo

I can’t praise the staff enough. Everyone from the managers to the house keeping staff were all amazing!! The rooms were extremely clean, drinks were amazing, and the food was great. Everyone was pleasant and eager to help in any way possible. As I solo traveler safety wasn’t an issue. I felt totally comfortable at all times. Everyone answered any questions that I had. I had a wonderful massage at the spa. The drinks were amazing and the food was delicious. The atmosphere was awesome. Everyone from the coffee girl (sorry I can’t remember everyone’s names) the bartenders, and especially Bob and Rondo. These two gentlemen were especially sweet. Very gentlemanly 😊 I would highly recommend this place. Solo or not, it’s totally wonderful. I’m definitely coming back. I didn’t have a negative experience with anyone there. As beginning solo traveler safety wasn’t an issue. Day or night. They set the bar very high for my future solo travels.

The location is great. My wife and I stayed here recently and we had a lot of issues with the staff. They made fun of my friend who is gay and when they thought I was as well, they called us names. The food was not great. The scrambled eggs sit in oil, food is bland, and if you don’t arrive between the times for breakfast or dinner, you can’t get food. Another person was late to breakfast because they were in the spa and they told her they couldn’t help her. We had a 9pm sitting and went to get food at 8:50 and they were already shutting down the food service.
There are good staff, not all are like this, but for what we pay, we deserve more and better. I told the management what happened when we left, but I doubt it will change.

When we arrived, the air conditioning was not working and was only fixed on Day 6 of our 7 day vacation. The toilet stopped working and the seat was broken. The shower floor was badly stained with dirt and it was not humanly possible to clean. The cleaning people did the best that they could but it needed to be replaced. The bed was terrible and was not replaced for 5 days. They tried to put a pad on the bed as fix and it was not comfortable. We did not have any water bottles in the fridge and when we asked about it, we were told that if the gift shop was open that we would have to purchase a bottle from there. On the second last day, we asked the cleaning staff and they gave us six bottles - a little too late. We asked for another room for the last two nights of our stay as the uncomfortable bed resulted in sleepness night. We were told that we would have to pay an additional $325 US per night. When we told management about the terrible experience and that we would have to provide a bad review for how we were treated, we were told "to do what we have to do" . They just did not care. We also used the laundry service and were told that we would receive our laundry the next day. The next day came along and they forgot to deliver. We had to ask for it. We were misled that this property was a 4 star. It is in fact a 3 star property. We would never recommend this property to any family or friends. There is ocean view and a wall but no beach on the property unless you walk with your towel and lie on the sand.

Lovely hotel with excellent facilities, it's the staff that make this place as lovely as it is. We stayed for 4 nights in an ocean view room. All the staff were friendly, warm and very welcoming and will do all they can to make sure you have the best stay possible. The view from our room was amazing, waking up to the beautiful ocean for 4 mornings was a real treat and very calming. Our room was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable (firm mattress but we prefer that). The hard working housekeeper deserves a special mention for keeping our room spotless and gleaming - thank you.
Big shout out to ALL the staff especially Kareen (sorry for any misspelling!). She always made sure we were okay, drinks topped up and would say hello whenever she saw us - a real asset! We arrived quite late in the evening, and were brought a plate of snacks and drinks to our room, which was a very nice touch and appreciated after two long flights!
Just to mention, the crowd is aged 60+ British returning tourists, so the evening entertainment is catered to that age group - mellow and not as buzzy - if you're okay with that. We're in our mid 40s and preferred the relaxing atmosphere anyway. The steel pan players were amazing, very talented and it was nice to listen to music from local instruments. The band (a duo) were also very good.
Food and drinks were good, lots of local foods and plenty of variety / availability. The a la carte options were very tasty, too.
The lounge system they operate is very fair and avoids people missing out - the lounges are taken away in the evening and put back out in the morning, to avoid people waking up at 4am and reserving their spots! I wish other resorts would adopt a more fair approach, especially during high season.
All in all, a pleasant stay and would recommend. We will be back in the near future, for sure.
