Moon Palace is a great hotel!
The staff are amazing and welcoming.
The food was great, especially the jerk Hut.
The cocktails were VERY strong!
There is also an area for dolphins towards the rear of the hotel, which was a great example. We also went on a sunset which was fun.
I just wish there was more exposure & encouragement for tourists to visit the local market and shops in the surrounding area.

During my recent stay at the Moon Palace in Jamaica, I had the pleasure of interacting with Jacqueline, who works in the snack and beverage department during the show time at night. From the moment I approached her, her friendly demeanor and warm smile set the tone for an exceptional experience.
Jacqueline’s attentiveness and dedication to customer satisfaction were truly top-notch. She went above and beyond to ensure that all our needs during the shows were met promptly and with the utmost professionalism. Her ability to balance efficiency with genuine care made her service stand out.
It’s rare to encounter such outstanding customer service, and Jacqueline made our stay all the more memorable. She is a true asset to the team, and I look forward to returning for another great experience.

Where should I start. Well, let's start at day one check-in. We arrive at the hotel only to be told that the reservation details we had and what they had in their system were different. We booked an ocean view with a balcony, and they had us no balcony, no ocean view. After three hours and a few phone calls, we thought it would be smooth sailing, but that was only the beginning. They placed us in a room with no balcony, and when I refused to accept that room because I was told previously that children were not allowed in that building and when i asked they told be they made an exception. My 10 year old daughter was traveling with us, and if children are not allowed in the building, why would they put us there. I was not comfortable with that explanation. Two hours later, they gave me a room with a balcony with room and vents view.
I was told that that's the room I would be receiving amidst my reservation stating otherwise. So, to put a time frame on my check-in, I arrived at the hotel at 12.30pm and didn't get settled in to be room until 8.30 pm. Yep, eight hours later. That was the start of what should have been an awesome vacation. I will give them credit for the ambiance of the hotel it's rich and elegant decor. Outside of that, everything else went wrong. First , I mentioned all my food allergies, and on the second night, I had a severe food allergy, of which when they called the nurse, she went straight to the point and told me if I want to see the hotel doctor I had to pay $300 US up front. I mentioned I had travel insurance, and she stated I could ask them for reimbursement. Then there was the useless resort credit that everything we tried to book there as an issue. When we tried to book the spa, they told us they do not have us staying at the hotel amidst the front desk had all of our names registered as guests. I would not visit another Moon Palace Resort even if it was free. The food was mediocre. Every night, we had to call for towels and wash clothes. The ground needs some improvement. There are too many loose and broken tiles that could be a trip hazard. The entertainment is not a good representation of the Jamaican culture. Even Reggae night, I felt as if I was somewhere on one of my Mexican trips.. we had hot water two days out of the seven.
I could go on and on, but why should I. They will just delete less than favorable reviews anyway.

If not for the staff at the eateries this would be a ONE STAR REVIEW.
We thoroughly enjoyed the Buccaneer’s buffet. David was top notch,an excellent manager, Shelissa and Ann Marie provided excellent service every day. Stacy Ann at Gondola was amazing.
This is the second year in a row that we have stayed here. First year was much different.
The front desk was RUDE. When we were here last year we put a deposit down for the next years stay. We were told we would receive a discounted rate and the same room type. After battling at the front desk for 45 minutes, they offered what we were promised with an additional $511 up charge. Turned out it was the exact same room just a higher floor.
The resort is run down, needs paint inside and out.
Needs new carpet and flooring though out.
The front desk at check out was also RUDE.
I AM SO GLAD WE DIDN’T FALL FOR THIER DIAMOND ELITE or RESIDENT CLUB. THEY WANT TO RIP YOU OFF. Below is the ocean view the gave us after we PAID EXTRA for the UPGRADE!
Staff of resort! Please don’t reply to this review unless you are willing to do something about it! You will be acting the same way as your front desk!!

My wife and I are having a great experience here at Moon Palace Jamaica. The food has been good and service has been fantastic. People are extremely friendly and willing to help. I'm leaving this review due to the negative reviews that sound like they should be left for another hotel. Although, this resort is a little older than the last four we have stayed at here in Jamaica.. The junior suite has been cleaned daily and the mini bar restocked without issue. Some people have a poor disposition and will never be satisfied anywhere they go. I would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing stay with excellent service/food.
