My wife and I are having a great experience here at Moon Palace Jamaica. The food has been good and service has been fantastic. People are extremely friendly and willing to help. I'm leaving this review due to the negative reviews that sound like they should be left for another hotel. Although, this resort is a little older than the last four we have stayed at here in Jamaica.. The junior suite has been cleaned daily and the mini bar restocked without issue. Some people have a poor disposition and will never be satisfied anywhere they go. I would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing stay with excellent service/food.

Moon Palace is a great hotel! The staff are amazing and welcoming. The food was great, especially the jerk Hut. The cocktails were VERY strong! There is also an area for dolphins towards the rear of the hotel, which was a great example. We also went on a sunset which was fun. I just wish there was more exposure & encouragement for tourists to visit the local market and shops in the surrounding area.

Dear Moon Palace Jamaica Team, I recently stayed at your hotel to celebrate my birthday and had high expectations for a memorable experience. I always stay at Bahia which provides excellent 5 star, but I wanted to give the Moon Palace property a visit. I informed the staff ahead of time that I would be celebrating this special occasion at your property, but unfortunately, I was disappointed by the lack of effort to make my stay feel celebratory or special. Given your reputation for excellent service, I was hoping for at least a small gesture to acknowledge the occasion, such as a note or room decoration. I felt overlooked during what should have been a joyful and memorable stay. Also I would like to say that my bathroom had blood on the walls of the shower. Was the room even expected before allowing guests to stay in there? The room was very outdated as well. I wanted to share this feedback in the hope that it helps improve the experience for future guests celebrating special occasions at your hotel.

During my recent stay at the Moon Palace in Jamaica, I had the pleasure of interacting with Jacqueline, who works in the snack and beverage department during the show time at night. From the moment I approached her, her friendly demeanor and warm smile set the tone for an exceptional experience. Jacqueline’s attentiveness and dedication to customer satisfaction were truly top-notch. She went above and beyond to ensure that all our needs during the shows were met promptly and with the utmost professionalism. Her ability to balance efficiency with genuine care made her service stand out. It’s rare to encounter such outstanding customer service, and Jacqueline made our stay all the more memorable. She is a true asset to the team, and I look forward to returning for another great experience.

Beautiful place. Surrounded by beautiful water and people. It’s right downtown in the heart of Ocho so going off campus is a huge plus. Not so much as romantic as some other resorts. This is more for family or a place to visit when wanting to get away.

We had the best time on our son’s first trip out of the country. The resort was very accommodating for our toddler son and he loved the characters. Very easily to navigate. The trip was taken to the next level thanks to DJ at concierge. He was top notch and took care of us and especially showed so much care to my son from when we checked until we checked out. He was outstanding and made our trip unforgettable

We’ve stayed at Beaches Negril before, but this was our first time at Beaches Ocho Rios. We were seeking a smaller resort, easier to navigate, yet still offering the amenities we were accustomed to. We were pleasantly surprised to find a water park with more than just a slide or two for the kids. The service was exceptional, from the concierge and wait staff to the bartenders, housekeepers, and lifeguards. Everyone was welcoming and incredibly helpful. Our walk-out room to the beach was fantastic, although the rooms themselves were a bit older and smaller than what we were used to. This didn’t hinder our stay at all, as we barely spent any time indoors. The trade-off was a private beach where we could let the kids explore freely and independently.

We recently stayed at beaches ocho rios and loved it. We had an amazing experience. Staff was great. Some of the restaurant staff weren’t very friendly but over all everyone was super nice and helpful. The staff would even join in the family fun on the beach and at the water park. The resort photographers are amazing. They captured some great pix of us and our kids. I would have to say the food was good but I would have expected better but I get it’s geared more towards kids and families. Tons to do while we were there. Drinks were good, and my 12 yr old loved ordering his own fun drinks at the bars. All in all it was an amazing trip with tons of memories for our family.

The resort was a but run down but didn’t bother us. However the only thing to do in the resort was a pool and water park and water sports were canceled due to weather for 4 days. It wasn’t bad weather just enough to cancel I guess. Food was eh. Which really we wouldn’t have minded except even with a reservation we waited 1.5 hours or more for our food. The restaurant would only have 3-4 other tables sat. Some staff was amazing others were not so nice. We had a ton of dust in our room. Dust bunnies were even rolling around. I’m allergic to dust so I’m glad I brought my inhaler. It was much needed. A wedding was next door and it boomed until 2AM. We weren’t warned or given any consideration by the report. Nobody got sleep. The water park was amazing for the kids and the 3PM snorkeling was great! Guys got in the water with us. 10am snorkel was fun but not as good. We only had 1 day for water sports due to choppy water. Concierge desk wasn’t that helpful but was nice to make reservations for us. I’d use that level again. There wasn’t much to do after 5. Until 10 pm and we didn’t stay up for that. We wouldn’t recommend this resort and won’t go back. I’m not supper picky but I do except nice things for the price we paid. It wasn’t luxurious as advertised. It makes wonder about even booking a sandals. I’d hate to risk the disappointment again for the money they cost.

New Market Village

This was our first vacation abroad with my family. The resort was nice, a bit dated but not a real big deal. Our flights were delayed and we lost a day but no one asked us for compensation for our missed day due to unfortunate circumstances beyond our control. Since our time was shortened, we weren’t met at the airport so we had to figure everything out ourselves. Food was great, entertainment had lots of energy. We didn’t find out about all the amenities onsite until the last day (sailboarding, snorkeling, where to sign up for tours etc). I was really hoping for more, looking for more. The views were amazing, extremely awesome. It would have been very over the top if we could have orientation the next day to walk us through the property and let us know what we had at our disposal. Concierge was nice, Ramon, Jason was outstanding and can’t remember the other gentleman name but he walked us to our room and set us up.

Rustic and elegant. This is not your typical big name beach resort. These lovely people at the Jamaica Inn cater to those looking for some real r&r, superb service, and an excellent culinary experience. We truly enjoyed our time, if only for two nights, it was well worth it and look forward to relaxing with them again.

Joined the Jamaica Inn kitchen team for a business trip, but made to feel very welcome. The owners and staff were all very hospitable and sociable. The hotel itself - both location and operation - is beyond comparison. It is paradise.

The Athlete's Spa

I found out when I arrived that there were no TV's in the rooms and I didn't think I was going to be able to manage. BUT man, it was amazing. The room was very large, everything else I needed and then some was present. We had a balcony that spanned the entire room looking out at the beach. The staff was amazing, the foot was delicious. Everything you needed and the TV was not necessary. ❤️❤️❤️

Jamaica inn was amazing. The pictures that you see don't do it justice. I felt truly at home. The entire staff was extremely friendly. From the entrance security to check-in staff wait staff, beach crew, bartender(Williams). I stayed 3-6 nights for a wedding in which the resort was fully booked by the wedding staff so I got to see all the different rooms. The cottage was the most beautiful, there was a walkway to the ocean, a second balcony in the bedroom on the second floor. Most of the water activities were included. They had different daily complementary activities; rum tasting, yoga, rose and croquet etc. The room service breakfast was a whole plate of fruits, a basket of toasts and pastries. With juice and a pot of tea. The airport transportation was a full representation from beginning to end as we were provided refreshments when driven to the airport. I highly recommend

What a delight! The grounds were pristine, the staff wonderful, and every meal was exquisitely prepared. My favorite part is the beach, which feels so secluded. This is truly one of the best hotels on the island.

We just returned from our fourth stay at the Sandals Royal Plantation. This place is always amazing from beginning to end. The management team and staff are engaging and focused on providing a fabulous customer experience. They are constantly refreshing the property and completed a few small projects during our stay. We have had the same butler team Neil and Chase all four visits. The two of them are a fantastic team and are near perfect in their execution. They treat us so well and are very adaptive to the desires of each guest. There are so many terrific team members across all departments. I have to say Stephanie and Sherika from the Terrace Restaurant were our favorites. They would joke with us and always remembered what we wanted. The entire dining team was top-flight. The prices at thus resort might be the only thing holding us back going forward. Sandals has drastically raised their prices the past few years above the rate of inflation. They offer a premium product though and those who are not price sensitive should consider a stay at The Royal Plantation. Again, we had a great stay and appreciate the hard work of the staff. The General Manager Omar and Marvin from Guest Services are fantastic and very engaging. They go out of their way to ensure everyone has a great experience.

Beautiful resort! The service is top notch. The butlers are so kind and want to make your visit the best. Omar is the GM his presence is everywhere and he knows his guests by name. You can tell his staff really enjoy working with him. Highly recommend!

This Sandals resort is our absolute favorite! I hate to even share that with too many people because I'd rather keep it as my own little secret. The staff and excellent service are two of the biggest reasons why we keep returning. We've been vacationing here for close to 10 years, and many of the staff have been there for that entire time. We always feel as though we're coming back to visit family with each visit. The resort has such a unique charm and warmth to it. We love the smaller boutique size of the resort. We've visited other Sandals and, though we've always enjoyed them as well, they don't have the same charm and personable staff that SRP offers. From housekeeping to the waitstaff at the restaurants to the beach butlers --- everyone seems to know our names. Even the GM makes a point to know guests by name. Though the resort is a little further from the airport than some of the other resorts, we don't mind the drive through Jamaica. It's definitely our happy place.

Once again Sandals Royal Plantation have outdone themselves! Richard & Duwayne were exceptional. Omar the GM is amazing and hands on. I can’t say enough about the food and the accommodations that were made to the menu for some of our dietary needs. They were always so eager to please and there were no issues. This was our sixth visit to this location and it never gets old and is always top notch. The service at this resort is the best the Caribbean has to offer.

This was our second visit and it didn’t disappoint. The staff are what makes Sandals Royal plantation so special. Omar the general manager amazingly knows every guests name. The Butlers can’t do enough for you and are only a phone call away. Every member of staff are so welcoming. The hotel is an oasis of relaxation and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.
