I stayed at Moon Palace to celebrate my 40th birthday with 7 other people, and overall, I was very disappointed. The first day felt like a complete waste, arriving at the airport at 12:30, reaching the hotel around 4:30, and waiting almost two hours just to check in. The resort is very large, but the food selection felt limited and repetitive, even though they offered a Jamaican dish daily. Lines to enter the buffet were long, and service was extremely slow—even when the restaurant wasn’t busy. Drinks were often unavailable, forcing me to mix my own, which upset my stomach, and I could never get pizza because it would always run out. The playroom was nice in theory, but in the evenings it was overcrowded, and kids would occupy the games for long periods, leaving no opportunity for others. Bathrooms in the building were dirty, some toilets didn’t work, there were no paper towels, and some stalls had broken lights. In my room, the mirror lights and bathroom outlets didn’t work, and despite complaining almost six times, nothing was fixed, and I never received updates. The drive from the airport felt boring without music or conversation, unlike previous experiences I’ve had in Jamaica. There were a few bright spots the beach party was entertaining, and Chef Andrew at one restaurant was engaging while cooking. One waiter tried hard to make my birthday special, and the staff singing “Happy Birthday” was appreciated. However, even these moments couldn’t compensate for the many issues with service, food, and maintenance. For a 5 star resort that charges so much, I expected far more. I won’t be returning.

We enjoyed our stay very much. We did so many excursions right from the hotel. Swam with the dolphins, snorkeling, the kids went scuba diving and we did a sunset cruise for the adults. The food was delicious, the service was great and the drinks tasted great. We loved the crepe station. The rooms were nice and clean and we loved the smell of the lobby. The beach was beautiful and we enjoyed kayaking. It was family friendly. We would definitely recommend!

Loved everything about this place. The variety of places to eat. Make sure as soon as you get there and download the app that you go in and place your reservations asap for dinner at some of the restaurant. The entertainment there is great. There's fine it's amazing. I love this place.They make sure there is no drama going on just for you to be there and have fun. Let's not forget the piano bar that was my go to place. Wednesday, through Saturday.They have single so enjoy. I can actually say we will definitely be back next year.

Overall we had a great time at Moon Palace. This was our 4th time in Jamaica. We stayed in Moon Palace Cancun before and had an excellent time so thought we would give the one on Jamaica a go. Whole the hotel is neat and the surrounding area is beautiful the service in the hotel could be improved. We were a group of 12 - 3 families and arrived to not having the rooms we booked available. We were eventually given other rooms that required additional roller beds. Arriving late in the evening, after travelling for 16hrs+ then being sent off to your rooms without sufficient beds being available is just not good enough for the price you pay for this hotel. There is a lack of urgency or care from a lot of the staff, whether that's at reception or at the restaurant. The vibes at the hotel and pool are amazing thanks to the guests I must say so we had a blast regardless of the attitude we got sometimes from the staff. Due to that lack of urgency just be prepared to queue at reception, buffet or other places.
