The view was beautiful. The staff were excellent, fun and kind, however, requests for services required multiple calls. Our first room had a terrible smell that we tried to tolerate, but we ended up requesting a new room after a couple days. The new room had a beautiful view but the AC did not work. The room was very humid. Four times and over two days we asked for the ac to be fixed and our room to be stocked with towels and fridge supplies. The shower worked but the water changed from scalding hot to freezing cold without touching the handle. Overall, it was a wonderful vacation. The rooms just needed some work and the requests for supplies and maintenance were not taken care of in a timely manner.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Secrets Aura Cozumel for an incredible stay. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and kindness by the hotel’s staff. Their exceptional hospitality truly made our vacation memorable.
The food was outstanding—excellent quality, great variety, and beautifully presented. Every meal was a delightful experience.
One of the aspects we appreciated the most was the ease with which any issues were resolved. Despite our late arrival, we were initially placed in a room with pool access and an ocean view, but unfortunately, the sound from a nearby kitchen exhaust fan was bothersome. After speaking with reception, they accommodated us in a quieter and more comfortable room midway through our trip—an excellent service response.
Another highlight was that the resort staff was not overly pushy about selling timeshares or exclusive memberships. We truly appreciated not having to sit through long and tedious presentations, allowing us to enjoy our vacation fully.
A special thank you to some of the amazing staff members who went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable:
• Captain Ruben, who provided exceptional service at Oceania, Windows, and Market Place.
• Adrian, for his outstanding attention to detail.
• Diana at Bordeaux restaurant, for her warm and attentive service.
• Vicky and Miguel, who kept us refreshed with drinks while we relaxed on the beach.
• Gaudencio, who welcomed us at the bar with courtesy and kindness, offering us tastings of different tequilas and whiskeys.
• Marcel, whose smile and helpful information made her our favorite!
• Oscar, Dolores, and Rodrigo, incredible waiters who provided top-notch service.
• Carol at reception, who was simply the best!
We also loved the Tequila Shot Band—they were fantastic! The fire show was entertaining, though we suggest always hosting it on the beach rather than in the lobby, as the petroleum smell lingered on our clothes when held indoors.
Thank you, Secrets Aura Cozumel, for a wonderful experience. It was truly a trip worth repeating, and we can’t wait to return!

Staff is great, hotel is in terrible condition. Half of buildings smell like a sewage plant, we had to change rooms because it was so awful in our first room and then the second room they brought us to was even worse. The third room was acceptable but pretty dated. Pools & ocean front areas were great. Overall we felt that this hotel was not worth the money spent - this was a higher price point all inclusive and we have stayed at plenty of other places on the island that were better maintained & 1/3 of the price. I figured other low ratings were “Karen’s” but for the price this hotel is really not worth booking. The staff and sandy oceanfront beach are really their only redeeming qualities. There is nothing else that would make the higher price point anywhere near worth it.

We've been to this resort multiple times, but were very disappointed with this trip. It is an older and quiet resort with a beautiful view. They had very few daily activities and they were only held at one of the pools. The pool towels were gone by 10:30 am and were not refilled. We enjoyed the Japanese restaurant but the rest of them were barely average. The staff that we encountered were wonderful. There just weren't enough of them. The pool we were at only had a server 3 of our 7 days. We will not go back.

This was actually me and my wife's first trip out of the United States, really expected a lot better from reviews. We did not have the preferred club. Was not told about most of the restaurants on site are only preferred club so really did not have much food options to pick from aside from leaving the resort. Also phones were not working so was unable to get room service. Numerous complaints were made to staff. Issues were never addressed until the night before we checked out. Really expected to have some authentic Mexican food. Absolutely none on site. Two of the hotel staff actually recommended leaving the resort to get said food. Spent a full day off resort and had a way better experience. Also seems that if you are not in the preferred club, the staff will just ignore any requests made. For sure planning a trip back to Mexico but will not ever stay at this resort again. Also, any pictures that are on their website are nowhere near what it looks like in real life.
