Far from the town, food was decent for an all inclusive. The service was fantastic my room was always clean although somewhat dated and empty for its size. Lovely location with lots of fish right off the beach. Not exactly a solo stay spot but great adults only place if you want peace and quiet.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Luz with activities was a gem, so sweet, Gabriel at the Oceana restaurant was fabulous, Rigoberto, a bartender at the Rendezvous Bar was a master with the drinks. Location was great. Food was wonderful. Rooms were a little dated, ours had a smell, but we figured it was from the sink and we covered the drain, smell went away. Light switches were a challenge, some worked and some didn't. Entertainment was good, saw the Mayan fire dance which was amazing. This was a girl's trip to celebrate our 60th Birthday, overall it was a great trip, everyone enjoyed it.

The service was definitely top notch! Everyone was very kind and accommodating. Concierge was always helpful. They do have 24 hour room service, but order late at your own risk. The food quality after 10 pm was worse than McDonalds. The restaurants had good food, but all of them were closed for dinner except for 2 of them. I would not recommend upgrading to Premier/Preferred status as it only allows you to a clubhouse with snacks, an extra pool, and access to Dreams resort (2 resorts over). We renewed our vows while we were there and I would highly recommend taking advantage of the photography package! Our photographer was amazing, as was our wedding coordinator! He made sure everything ran smoothly. Our ceremony was exactly as I pictured it. As part of the vow renewal we took advantage of their romantic dinner which was delicious and absolutely beautiful! The rose petals in the room when we checked in were also a very nice touch Be warned they will try to get you to sit through a timeshare when you arrive. Overall, we had a net positive experience, and I would absolutely recommend this place for anyone wanting a low stress wedding, but would probably not personally book again. But my husband and I are not really resort people to begin with. If you are a resort person, I think you would love it there.

Food is not great. Don’t order steak, it is not good. We didn’t have a single good dessert, in fact, the best dessert we had here was French toast at the breakfast buffet. The room service menu is a joke. The hotel is somewhat older, which normally I wouldn’t mind, but the service and hospitality are also lacking. The shower was cold, we had to ask for fresh towels everyday, we had to call for a hairdryer, iron, and toilet paper, (the iron never showed up), they do not restock the room fridge, they have fake plants around the resort, they don’t clean poop from the iguanas, and the grass needs to be watered. They don’t even have candy!! This is our first time we have stayed at Secrets and we don’t plan to be back. We were Unlimited Vacations Club Members but we have now cancelled Don’t buy, it’s a huge scam! Overall very disappointed but on positive note the beach is beautiful.

Food is terrible. I know not to expect much with all inclusives but if you only care about price, this is the hotel for you. We had two rooms and the ocean view room was the only raggedy room, the other was fine. We only paid $500 for two nights so that was great but I didn’t eat at the resort for those two days
