I recently stayed at **Allegro Cozumel**, and while there are definitely some great aspects, it’s a real mixed bag overall.
### **The Good: The Beach is Incredible**
The highlight of this resort is **the beach**—it’s absolutely stunning! The sand is soft, the water is crystal-clear, and the location is perfect for relaxing or snorkeling. If you’re looking for a beautiful beachfront experience, this is definitely a plus.
### **The Bad: Rooms Need Serious Improvement**
Unfortunately, the rooms are **below average**. They feel outdated, not very well-maintained, and could definitely use some upgrades. If you're expecting modern, comfortable accommodations, you might be disappointed.
### **The So-So: Staff & Service**
Most of the staff is **friendly and helpful**, but service can be hit or miss depending on the time of day and how busy they are. Some employees go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable, while others seem less engaged.
### **The Worst: The Food**
The biggest downside of Allegro Cozumel is **the food**—it’s just not good. The buffet is repetitive, and the quality leaves a lot to be desired. If you’re a foodie or expect great dining options, you’ll likely be disappointed.
### **Final Thoughts**
Allegro Cozumel has **an unbeatable beach and a mostly friendly staff**, but the **rooms and food bring the experience down**. If your priority is enjoying the ocean and you’re okay with mediocre accommodations and dining, you might still have a good time. However, if you’re looking for a well-rounded resort experience, you may want to consider other options.

We loved our experience and time at Allegro. The place is beautiful and clean. The staff are very accommodating and hard working. The view from the beach is breathtaking. The only thing I would fault them for is the lack of activities. They do a lot of activities for the kids during the day but for the adults, it's only beach volleyball and a few pool activities. I wish they would do some trivia, bingo, karaoke, or some game shows.

The room had no dresser for clothes. Food was always cold and no favor. Would have been nice to have a few options for restaurants within the resort. The entertainment staff were great. They were very good about getting people to join activities. We had the premium room and it really did not give us any special rights at all. I would not come back as things were falling apart. The hot tub was not in good shape

We arrived on Sunday and found a clean and we'll organized resort with friendly, helpful staff. The sunsets at the beach were lovely.The entertainment was low key and it was quiet by 1030 each evening. The dive shop was well managed and we were able to get out 4 times during the week we stayed.
The beach was clean and sandy, and there were always comfortable lounge chairs at the pools and the beach. The restaurant meals were excellent and the buffet meals were adequate for our tastes.
We would stay here again.

The experience was very nice. Everything is spot on. All the workers are amazing with good customer service. Diego, Ricardo, Carlos, Maurilio, and Andres were super lovely and nice! Our family vacation could not have been better, they made everything perfect. Diego was very funny, hardworking, charismatic, and most of all helpful.
