A laid-back resort that's great for families, especially with kids. The pools and splash area are fun and well-maintained. Rooms are good and comfortable. There's a wide variety at breakfast, but some items didn’t taste fresh—felt like a few were reused from the previous day. Still, a decent option for a relaxed beachside stay in Penang.

The hotel is very warm and welcoming. The ambiance is very lively and just a great atmosphere with loads of excitement. The staff - beginning with the General Manager and Ms Nandiniy Chadzu (Assistant Front Desk Manager) and everyone is very helpful and make you feel special. Highly recommended.

Front office service was top notch and world class! Swift check-in with the help of the staffs at the front office. Bell boy and the entrance are very helpful and responsive too. Room given was fantastic and pool view. Love this hotel so much! My kids liked the playground so much that ever time they stay here, they will definitely go for it! This is a paid entry for big kids playground. All in all....it is a fantastic hotel for family.

The resort was absolutely lovely. We stayed for 8 nights with a large group, and they thoughtfully arranged for us to all be on the same floor, which was so convenient. The pool area was fantastic, especially for the kids, who had a blast playing on the slide. The staff were incredible—friendly, attentive, and always helpful.

Great location, nice beach, good service, above all one of the best pool side playgrounds for kids in Penang Island. The resort is well maintained and service is good. It’s extremely packed and crowded during school holiday season, therefore it is best to avoid this period of time if you wanna have a better and quiet time here. Highly recommend for family holiday.

Breakfast need be more variety. Room service need to be improved in term of timing. Stayed here for almost a week. Two days missed to make up my room although the no disturb sign is off. Pool is massive and kids friendly. Lifeguard need to be more aware on children using the slide especially yellow one. Some of the user are very aggressive and can cause harm to other people at the end of the slide when they slide down. Some kind of warning or a mere whistle blown may taught them to be more respectful to other. Parking is ample, toilet is very clean. Overall okay.

My go to hotel every time I visit Penang. Out 3rd visit here. Stayed for 2 nights. Beautiful hotel but this visit was abit dull.
In Room dining was disappointing and food was oily and tasted like amateur dish for the price paid. Breakfast Buffet was also boring. Waiters were professional and exceptional.
Rock Royalty level receptionist was amazing and the lounge waiters were highly professional.
Were were disappointed this trip and hope our next visit will be more memorable.

Do we have a 6 star rating system? If yes, I'd like to give them that. Special mention - Erica and Eisen. Brilliant, brilliant service. As for the others - Rish from the Hard Rock Cafe, to the concierge, the pool guys, the sweepers on the ground, Level 6 Rock Royalty floor staff, restaurant crew, spa staff, everyone! I asked several of them why and what makes them happy 😊?
Everyone said because they have a good work place, good bosses and well compensated.
Enough said. Will be back!

Great place for family with kids. My kids had so much fun, glad we chose this hotel. Especially the kids club, he was there from 3 till 7pm. Made new friends too.
Room was alright.
Breakfast was great, mostly same food for the 3 days breakfast we had. Taste wise, expected from such hotel. Staff could be more attentive to the one sitting outside. Checking and peeping people sitting outside but let the tables filled up with plates, only cleaned up when called.
Kudos to the lifeguard at the pool as well. Mad respect under the hot sun too.

Overall a good stay at Hard Rock. The food and facilities are good. The only reason for 4 stars is that the music doesn't live up to the name at all. The few rock songs played by the bands were excellent and true to hard rock, however it is clear that higher management are making suggestions for the set list. The songs are now mostly tik too songs which is not as enjoyable.

This was my first visit here, and we felt comfortable and relaxed. The hotel is very kid-friendly, especially with the private pool in the room, allowing kids to play whenever they like.
We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights, and child really enjoyed the pool. Plus, the beach is just a short walk from the hotel, right in front of it.
There is plenty of parking available, so there’s no need to worry even if you return late.
The staff are friendly and make you feel welcome.
I would definitely stay here again if I visit Penang in the future.
Golden Vagabonders
Loved our stay here. Location was excellent and the service was soooooo good. I’d 100% recommend. Our room was on the 3rd floor and overlooked the pool and ocean and even had a bath on the balcony.
I worked from here for a week from about 6am to 1pm and was then able to head out exploring, eating and drinking each afternoon. Penang starts to come alive from about 7pm and this accommodation was in the best spot to explore.

Amazing rooms. Part sea view blocked by trees but you can hear the waves and Explerience the sea breeze. The sea is just by the edge of the hotel property. There's an outdoor bar with comfy seats. Staff are friendly,helpful, and good at their job. A bit out of town, but you can get most conveniences within 10 minutes drive.

What truly stood out during my stay was the friendliness of the staff. They were always ready with a smile and willing to help with any inquiries I had. It’s clear that they genuinely care about making your stay enjoyable.
The location is another highlight; it’s just a short walk to the Ferringhi Market, which is packed with local vendors and delicious food options. Overall, my experience was fantastic, and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay!

This is a really good hotel.
The site andd grounds are well maintained and the pool is lovely.
The rooms are nice and spacious and they have a bathtub on the balcony. They do small things like add free drinks to the mini bar.
The staff are friendly and welcoming.
Breakfast is good, with a small, but good quality spread.
The views from your room of the beach are nice and at night it's quiet with the sound of the sea.
