We stayed in Rotana Hotel for 3 nights. It was one of the best resorts we ever visited! The resort is huge and you can spend full day in the resort as it has everything you might be looking for. The staff (ALL OF THEM) are always smiling, trying to help, and very welcoming. The restaurant, Saffron, buffet was SUPER TASTY. The breakfast and dinner had a huge variety and the taste was incredibly amazing. Special thanks to Mr. Ibrahim for his help during our stay.

Excellent service, I was greeted at the front desk by Atif who provided exceptional explanations for the room location, amenities, and activities nearby. The room was also very neat and tidy, room service to clean was prompt, and the breakfast option was very good. Would highly recommend this resort for anyone staying in Salalah, one caveat is you should rent a car since it is kind of far away from the rest of Salalah.

I stayed at Salalah Rotana Resort recently. The resort is big with lovely and spacious rooms, but the rooms were always wet. The staff said it was because of humidity, but even the bed was damp, which was really uncomfortable and honestly disgusting. The rooms also need better maintenance. Breakfast was extremely crowded every day, which made it frustrating. On the positive side, they gave us a three-day package at half price, which was nice. Dining was good – Zafran Restaurant was very nice. And a special mention to Anna, the hotel manager – she was amazing, professional, and very lovely to deal with. But the golf cart service was terrible. The resort is huge, and every time we requested a cart it was very slow. The worst was during checkout: I called for a cart to pick me up with my bags, and no one came. In the end, I had to walk with my luggage all the way to the reception – not extremely far, but definitely not near either – which left a bad impression. Overall, the resort has potential with its size and location, but the humidity in the rooms, crowded breakfast, and especially the poor golf cart service really need improvement

Great resort especially for families with kids. Good sized rooms all with balconies or terrace. Restaurants in resort are very good and their breakfast buffet is excellent. Nice swimming pools and good spa and gym. Great location as it's within Hawana salalah destination with access to the marina area and other restaurants. 20 minute drive to city center which is OK if you don't need to be in city.

Pros: • The property is exceptionally beautiful, with well-maintained surroundings. • Guest rooms are spacious and comfortable. • Breakfast offers a good variety and caters to different tastes. • The chefs are courteous and accommodating, willing to customize dishes based on individual preferences. • Facilities and amenities are of a good standard. • Convenient direct access to the beach. Areas for Improvement: • It is challenging to reach the front desk via phone; most in-room speed-dial functions, including the emergency line, are non-operational, except for the dining line. • Front office staff appear to have limited customer service training, which impacts the overall guest experience. • Feedback provided to the staff does not seem to be acknowledged or addressed, raising concerns about whether there are established processes for handling guest comments.

Definitely not 5 star accommodations or service. Uncomfortable beds. Only half the staff were somewhat helpful and none were like usual five star service. Not terrible but nowhere close to being worth the price. Stayed in the jacuzzi suite for the last day and it didn’t work properly. Waste of money. The hotel response below will say that I did not inform them but I did inform them and spent 2 hours of my one night in that room with up to 5 workers in and out of the room. Nothing was offered for the inconvenience. The filters of the jacuzzi were plugged with black filth. The fact that management claims I did not inform them shows how poor the communication is. I am reducing to one star due to the lie in their response. The water park is nice for families and the marina area is nice with some cafes and restaurants. Pools were average. Salalah and the country is beautiful I highly recommend coming but personally would look elsewhere for better accommodations and better value.

Great place for a vacation. We were warmly welcomed by Wala. The rooms were very clean and we were provided by a cot as requested. Beautiful hotel, great staff. Kudos to the whole team. Since we are vegetarians, the options were given by the team. However as foodies, we would be a little more happier if the options could be more. Special thanks to Chef Vinod, Ajith, Rakesh, Hemant, Praveen, Prashant, Chef Chandra, Yogesh, Wala, Samir, Rizk, Louvely, Ahmed, Moses. All of them were very nice and hospitable. Highly recommended!

The hotel is no way 5*. Rooms are very stark, they smell damp, the beds are rock hard. Reception staff are nice, the excursions are good. The restaurant has a good buffet selection. The worst part is unfortunately the other guests - listening to their phones/iPads at full volume around the poolside is disgustingly selfish behaviour. This should be policed better by the pool staff.

A wonderful resort that is fully equipped with all that it takes to ensure a great guest experience. Has multiple swimming pools and easy beach access. The mirina is a two minutes walk and has nice restaurants and coffee shops. The hotel restaurant is nicely decorated. It has outside seating area by the pool and overseeing the beach. The breakfast menu is wonderful with endless varieties. Highly recommended for families.

The level of service was truly exceptional, and everything exceeded my expectations. As it was my first experience staying there, I was very impressed. The food was diverse and of excellent quality. The resort is a little paradise. There are big pool wity a slide to it. Kids club and many restaurants and a cafe shop. The rooms are spacious and the public beach is 100 meters far. I wish there would be a nanny or a supervisor for the children at the kids club. The location of the resort is qlmost 5 kms to the city center.

Had a very nice stay. Clean and spacious room. Didn’t spend a ton of time at the hotel as i was out adventuring most of the days but the staff was all nice and everything was fine. Oman is amazing what a fantastic country

We had a wonderful stay at Hilton Resort Salalah! The rooms were incredibly spacious and comfortable, with beautiful views. The gardens were lush and perfectly maintained, and the beachfront was serene — just perfect for relaxing. What made our stay even more special was the exceptional service. This was one of the best places I have ever stayed in my life with my family! Beautiful 🤩 my kids were busy all the time! Staff are extremely helpful and wonderful! Food !!! The best !! Lunch salmon sea bass stake grilled vegetables ! You can eat this every day! My kids love the food the best pancakes 🥞 and pizza 🍕 and pasta! The Asian restaurant I have never eaten anything like this food in my life and I travel all around Asia. Farm it's so special! I will be back there soon ❤️

Staff were excellent. They were always ready to assist, Me Mohammed at the reception was one of the best Omani Staff I encountered. However quality and standard of rooms are not 5 star. Food quality also needs to be improved.

Wonderful experience for the family. Service was great and the rooms spacious. Some activities were included with the stay (farm tour, tennis court booking, kayaking). Breakfast was very generous with a wide selection of local and international items.

Very rude and uncooperative staff. They have a policy that they will only abide to when you already spent half your stay so they basically don’t give a damn about you since the money is nonrefundable anymore. They don’t care if you are pregnant or disabled, and would not even try to help making your stay a little more comfortable and smooth. They will literally ignore your requests and you will have to wait TWO HOURS for in room dining even if they are informed of your pregnancy and your need to get your medicines on time and with food. And if you don’t want to wait that long for some mid food ( with extra unidentifiable object such as hair, cling wrap pieces INSIDE THE FOOD and not laying on top, and runny eggs when asked for well done as you do not want to risk losing your fetus because of salmonella ) you will not be allowed to order outside food ( depends on how the butler or the reception is feeling today, if he’s in a bad mood you won’t be eating unfortunately ). Honestly i would never recommend this place for anyone especially as a family with kids or disabled or pregnant women because they simply don’t dive a heck if you’re risking your pregnancy/health or not. * REPLY: I didn’t report the issues at the time because the food had already arrived two hours late and my family — including myself, a pregnant woman — was already starving. In that moment, the priority was feeding my family, not chasing staff who had already shown a lack of care or urgency. In case you’re unaware: When you’re pregnant and medically required to take medication with food, waiting two hours isn’t just inconvenient — it’s dangerous. Reporting it “in time” would have meant even further delays or missed medication. Not to mention, the food quality itself was unacceptable, which made the situation even more distressing. Just because I didn’t have the energy or capacity to escalate in the moment doesn’t mean the experience was any less real — or any less unacceptable. Again; the reply on behalf of the resort shows further lack of responsibility by basically saying “ it didn’t happen because you didn’t report it “. Mind you, there are many other inconveniences that should be taken seriously but I CHOSE to not include them as the review was already posted and they happened after.

It was a wonderful experience with the kids. The food was very delicious, but the prices are quite high compared to other hotels. The place wasn’t crowded, the service was excellent, and all the staff had smiling faces.
