It is one of the best places we’ve ever been. The staff is really taking care of you the whole time. They are friendly and lovely and you always feel safe and taken care of. Rooms ale really great and pretty and people who say otherwise may be expecting too much. Truth is that the room is dark but you only spend here the night and during the day you have a daylight. Moreover they really clean everything including the beds, floor, toilet. Food is great and on the beach you have anything you want at any time. The beach is really big and pretty and not even once we had a situation when we didn’t have any sunbed. I would really like to thank the whole staff, and we especially appreciate Surat who was always smiling and helpful. I really recommend this hotel to everyone and I’m sure we’ll come back.

A wonderful hotel. A fantastic place. It was our first time in Oman, and we will definitely come back. We stayed as a family for 7 days with an all-inclusive option. This is a place that offers relaxation for both those who enjoy lounging and families seeking activities. We belong to the latter group (I have two sons, aged 9 and 10, who find it hard to sit still, and I myself am addicted to sports).
The hotel boasts a stunning beach with soft, flour-like sand. It’s very wide and stretches for several kilometers along the shore. You can freely run, walk, play beach soccer (there are goals), paddle tennis, badminton, or participate in yoga classes, among many other activities. You can also rent a surfboard (highly recommended—great fun! The waves are big enough for a good ride but not too large or dangerous for children). If you're an experienced surfer, you can also rent a full-size board.
The beach is equipped with plenty of loungers (unfortunately, the “towel reservation” in the early morning is still a thing). However, the staff tries to help if there’s a shortage of space. There are also facilities for darts, French boules, beach volleyball, and paddle tennis. Along the beach, there’s a paved path perfect for running or cycling. The beach features a bar and several food spots offering various snacks.
Inside the hotel, there’s a well-equipped gym with options for boxing lessons, a spa, tennis courts, and paddle courts. There’s also a sauna (though it only heats to about 70°C, which could be better). The hotel is showing signs of aging, and you can see the wear and tear in some places, BUT the staff does a great job maintaining it, and it’s clear they strive to fix any issues or neglect promptly.
The rooms are spacious and easily accommodate a family of four. Additional beds can be requested (as we did). There’s also a nice, large balcony.
The food is excellent—just perfect. Not the overwhelming “Egyptian” buffet style, but rather a bit of everything, ensuring there’s something for everyone. Meals are “continuously” available—when breakfast ends, the beach bar opens, and so on.
The greatest asset of Oman, however, is its people. The hotel staff and shopkeepers are incredibly kind, friendly, and speak excellent English. No one haggles over a dollar, and prices are always clearly displayed. Cleanliness and the high level of personal culture deserve immense respect (Sabbir—respect! People like you create the unique atmosphere of this place). It’s also extremely safe. Men don’t stare at European women inappropriately, a problem we often encountered in Egypt. Our kids roamed freely around the entire complex, and we felt very secure.
In summary, this place offers European standards in a breathtaking exotic setting

Where do I Start, if I could give 0 stars I would and that would be the write way to start this. It’s a shame to how they have run down the hotel, the room has a smell of humidity, the floor in the room is dirty, as a paying guest I would expect a lot more from a 5 star resort. It’s all about the all inclusive package they sell if that’s how you want to run the place that is your choice, then please close the option for people to book rooms and pay.
At the beach bar we couldn’t get service as it was only for the package guests, mind you that’s the only place to get even water on the beach. At the pool bar and restaurant they only serve package guests so you cannot order and pay also. So me being a paying guest I cannot eat or drink near the pool or at the beach.
The WiFi is the worst I’ve seen even in my room you’ll be lucky to get 2 bars. The food at the only restaurant I could eat at for lunch is at mediocre. The best was the breakfast experience and even that gets ruined with unprofessional staff that make rules as they go along. When we spoke to the F&B manager he assured us we could order from the beach bar and then they run out of ice.
So sadly I do not think I will ever come here again and I would never recommend it to any of my acquaintances. As this time I made the mistake of telling friends and we all booked here.
Not to sound to bad the location and the property get 5 stars as the views of the ocean are breathtaking but that’s all.

EDIT:
Over a week after my comment nothing has changed, Management claims they will take care of it but nothing was done!!!
This is overpriced hotel, they claim they are 5 star hotel but service on 3 star hotel level.
We have all inclusive package but it is very poor package to compare to Turkey or Egypt. Food basically every day is the same with only small changes. Restaurants are only available for Rotana club also the part of the beach which should be premium but sunbeds are in terrible condition. On the main beach there are always problems with number of sunbeds, there is more guest then availability sunbeds and beach stuff is not helping at all. If they notice you stop chasing them they forget about you immediately. Main beach is not cleaned and rubbish are falling from the bins, also empty cups and bottles are not removed from the umbrella tables.
In the beach bar which is small and only one there is only one person serving drinks so most of the time there is a que to get any kind of drink. If menagerie shows up he pretends he tries alcohol but he is actually drinking. I assume if he need to check and try alcohol quality he should do this somewhere else not in front of the guests.
During all the meals you have to run to get writer if you want coffee, tea or any soft drink. There is always lack of clean coffee cups, if you want to do coffee by yourself, if you get any they are not clean so you can see old coffee stains on it.
Reservation of the sunbeds starts evening before so once you are at the beach at 8am most of them are already reserved.

I went to eat in the restaurants inside Rotana since I stay in a near house. The hotel is superb, well decorated. Everybody is gentle and professional. The only problem (that regards this hotel like many others) is the airconditioning, too cold, you can't enjoy your dinner. It's winter and the temperature inside would be perfect without airco.
