Outstanding stay with breathtaking views We stayed at Alila Jabal Akhdar with our kids in February and absolutely loved it. The suites are huge, beautifully designed, and come with an amazing bathroom, a lovely bathtub, and a balcony with breathtaking mountain views. The included activities for both adults and kids are fantastic. There is a kids club with outdoor adventures and an exploration path around the hotel that our children really enjoyed. The spa is wonderful, and the jogging trail around the property is a great touch. The gym is nice, though some of the equipment could use an update. The à la carte breakfast was outstanding, one of the best we had on our trip. The only downsides were the poor condition of the bicycles and the rather high food prices. The “Massage on the Edge” was absolutely fantastic – a unique and unforgettable experience. As the hotel puts strong emphasis on sustainability, replacing the petroleum heaters with pellet ones could align even better with that vision. Overall, it’s an exceptional place with incredible views, great service, and plenty to do for families. We would definitely come back.

An absolutely magical hotel. Perched atop the escarpment remote and serene. Rooms are charming and elegant with a quaint charm. Modern furnishings and dim lighting with comfortable bedding are displayed in each room. Location: MUST have a 4x4 to get here. There is a checkpoint before climbing the mountain that will stop you if not driving a proper vehicle. Don’t be alarmed though because the road is excellent and newly paved. Do be careful along the drive because the view is stunning throughout. The hotel is far away from the cities and takes about 3-4 hours to get there but it’s worth it. There are hikes and or drives in the area to explore the mountains. To be honest they are not the most spectacular hikes but this hotel is rather a haven of peace and serenity to relax and unwind in nature. Food: pretty ok but a little expensive. Nothing outstanding but it’s good. Rooms: Charming, elegant, comfortable and uniquely designed. Alina is one of my all time favorite brands always pulling through with luxurious charm. Definitely recommend this hotel if you can overlook the price. It is a little overpriced but if they can lower the budget this place is a gem.

We had a great experience at Alila - simply the best hotel I've ever stayed at. The views were beautiful. I really like the little gift of the pencil with seeds inside - how thoughtful. I will definitely miss the infinity pool - stunning views & a nice warm temperature.

The hotel blends perfectly with its surroundings and is an architectural gem. The rooms and common areas are stunning, and the food was one the best we had in all of Oman. A genuine recommendation!

Amazing hotel. Loved the villa, the food, and of course the views. Pool is awesome. Staff was a bit slow; esp in the restaurants, we had to wait quite a while to order, get our drinks, etc. Not to stop me from recommending it to others, but at this price point I’d expect service to be top notch.
