Amatara Welleisure Resort provided myself and my husband with a first class experience from the minute we arrived till the minute we left. Every detail was of the highest quality from the facilities, the service, our pavilion suite, the spa, fitness and restaurants. Everything was very superior and we really felt like we had a truly special experience over the two weeks we stayed. Beautiful surroundings and a private beach really enhanced our stay. The staff were particularly impressive in the level of service they provided from check in to room services and accessibility of buggy transport whenever required to move around and in and out of the resort. A special mention to our pavilion housekeeper Pan who managed and cleaned our room to perfection every day. Anyone who books this resort will not be disappointed and wile very much plan on a return visit.

Stunning views in a peaceful setting. The staff are great and helped resolve issues we had with the rooms. The rooms are lovely, although in the block we stayed in several times there have been plumbing issues and loads of ants around the coffee machine and IN our beds. They definitely need to eradicate the ants as they have been present on several occasions now. Otherwise brilliant location, stunning views no matter which side of the hill you’re on. Gorgeous pool and private beach. Kids Club staff are fantastic and they take children from very young ages too. Highly recommended.

We had a great stay with our family here. The staff is really friendly and helpful, the SPA was super nice, the pool is beautiful but could be a little bit cleaner. The rooms we had were really spacious with a beautiful view and were equipped with 2 air cons which made it really easy to adjust the room temperature especially at night. The Hotel is in a very calm area where we could easily walk around in the evenings to discover the surroundings. As mentioned, we had a great stay but honestly, the hotel needs to be renewed! For me it would be a nice 4 star but not 5 star hotel! But very good! Thank you for having us!

I recently stayed at Amatara Wellness Resort for two nights in the Pool Pavilion Room, and overall, it was a relaxing experience. The location was excellent, with breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere—perfect for a wellness retreat. Coming from Sri Lanka, where 5-star hospitality sets a high benchmark, I naturally have high expectations when it comes to service. While most of the staff were warm and professional, I did notice that some had a rather high-handed attitude, which felt out of place in a luxury wellness setting. It wasn’t necessarily an unpleasant experience, but at times, the warmth and attentiveness expected at this level were missing. The room amenities were slightly outdated but ok. Breakfast lacked variety, with the same menu both days—manageable but something that could be improved for a more refined experience. That said, the resort itself is beautifully maintained, and the overall ambiance is truly rejuvenating. A little more focus on personalized, guest-centric service would enhance what is already a stunning retreat. Would I return? Yes. The resort has a lot to offer, and with a bit more attention to service refinement, it could truly stand out among luxury wellness resorts.

We had one of the most successful vacations ever. Everything was exceptional. I especially appreciated the friendly demeanor of the hotel staff; everyone had a smile on their faces. A special thanks to Mr. Lom, who arranged our transfer from the airport to the hotel upon our arrival and provided us with a warm welcome along with valuable advice. On the last day, we had a flight at 11:55 PM. After checking out at noon, we were pleasantly surprised to receive a restroom where we could store our luggage, rest, and take a shower before leaving. Thank you for your hospitality; we can't wait to come back! :)
