We enjoyed our stay at the Atrium, the staff were exceptional and attentive. The room was probably the biggest disappointment, partially as the photos in the app do not reflect the room we stayed in very well. In reality the room feels old and dark as apposed to the app making them feel new and bright. Some of the rooms block out curtains were old which meant the early morning sun came through in bright patches, which is not great when you are expecting a sleep in. Our shower leaked pretty badly on the left side and large amounts of water pooled against the bath tub on the other side of the room. None of these things were terrible, just annoying, and we told the desk about the water leak in the shower, but there was no point in moving rooms as we were recovering from 10 intense days of work just prior. The last thing we wanted was to pack up and move again. However the most frustrating thing was the height of the shower head! You expect a low and cheap feeling shower head in a budget hotel, but honestly for an executive suite at the Grand Mercure in any country and city, this was extremely frustrating, and very disappointing. There was no point in complaining to the desk about this simply because there's nothing they could do, as to make it acceptable they would have had to renovate and raise the water outlet pipe at least another 50cm! I know I'm tall, but when the shower head didn't even come up to the base of my neck... That's simply cheap and unacceptable design.

The hotel is outstanding. Has great customer service, clean and cozy rooms . Great views from hotel, cozy pool. Me and my partner we both love the varieties of food as we are vegetarian. Lots of different varieties of vegetarian food , indian food. They have tried to accommodate every country’s cuisine so nicely. We loved the stay. Thank you Highly Recommended 🫶

In general, my stay was excellent. The client service was exceptional. Everyone made you feel appreciated and was really helpful throughout your stay. If I needed anything, I'd be accommodated. The only reason I awarded it a 9 was that the area where the shower doors met was quite water seal tight, and water flowed onto the floor. I could have changed rooms, but it was not a big deal. Besides that, I enjoy having a bath while seeing the city. The location is perfect if you want to be way from the noise but not too far. If you want to party a lot or be close to the temples, it might e a little out your way.

Not sure where to begin. Went out to eat around 7pm, returning to my hotel room around 11pm. Upon my return, my wife goes to the room and her key no longer works, but the door was ajar open. After receiving a text message, I returned to the room and my key did not work either. The concern was someone was in our room and the door left open. Yes, we 100% checked the door to ensure the door closed. We had two rooms and both needed the door pulled shut to latch. The management said they check the camera and 100% lied to us about no one being in the room. After telling him (manager on staff) we closed door, he said we need to continue to check cameras. We waited in the lobby for almost 2 hours for him to lie to me and offer me 2 beers for someone entering our room and deactivated key while out of my room. I work in a similar field so I understand things happen, but when someone non hotel staff enters your room, then the Staff lies about it, it becomes a big issue. The hotel is central in Bangkok with rail ways close, although learned very fast nothing mattered. We took a Grab taxi every where, which was very cheap for 4 people. If you plan to go out at night and want to walk, this is a horrible location but bangkok is not a walking city. But this is not an issue, take a taxi travel safe. The staff was very polite, short of the complete lie about the room entry from the Manager, which he did apologize. The staff for breakfast in the executive lounge was amazing, and front desk staff are great. I booked a executive corner room, which was OK but would argue it was kind of dumpy. The toilet didn't flush, shower was bad, need a remodel, I don't recommend it. Asked to have my room moved, which was a less expensive executive room, and it was much better with a great view of the temple. I believe this room move might have been the cause for the room entry issue. The executive package is 100% worth it. We didn't plan to use it as much as we did, but the breakfast was great, drinks and snacks came in great while waiting for the sun to set to leave for the night. There are allot of rooms, and allot of people so having a place that is a bit more private was great. Even if you are trying to travel on a budget solo, it might be worth it. Bed was a firm foam (maybe memory foam ) and slept very well, with almost perfect pillows. 10 out of 10, slept very good on the 22nd floor. For the price, central location and quality of rooms, this is a great hotel. Not sure I would book again because I like new experiences, but you should. Gets a 1 of 5 stars because of our unwelcome room entry. Otherwise this is a 4/5 experience for our room on 22nd... or a 2/5 for the first room on floor 8.

Value wise, the amount we paid for the experience was a bargain. The room was very clean and spacious, with a wide range of amenities. We even had sweets ready at our table as a welcome gift. Room had a kettle, fridge and safe which you can use. Water bottles, coffee and tea, vanity kits, toiletries, bath towels, hand towels, robes and sleepers were available. Breakfast buffet has a very wide range of food available, it was the first time my picky partner was satisfied with his breakfast throughout our stay in Thailand, I think I only wished there was more fresh fruit varieties. The buffet area is also huge so might want to position yourself close to the food. The hotel also has a decent pool, which when I used luckily was not full at all. There's also a gym in the same floor, as well as a changing room/locker area where the sauna is. Staff were very accommodating and friendly, and they respond to emails promptly too, as in my case I got in touch with them prior to our arrival. Overall, as my partner said, I did save the best for last.
