Came here for dinner at the rooftop bar to celebrate my birthday 🎂 it was a great view with a fantastic dinner. One thing I didn't like was that it allowed smokers to smoke when others were dining. The wind was strong up there and killed all the atmosphere and spoiled the special day. How could we enjoy the meal with fresh air when they are allowed smokers to destroy the fresh air and atmosphere. It is only one rooftop bar that has ever been seen to allow customers to smoke. Instead of setting the smoke area outside the restaurant. The staff are polite and friendly, and also really helpful but that because the hotel let the customer smoke at dining table have been disturbing the other customers as many customers complained but they did nothing. From what we spend more than a thousand dollars, we can go to the other rooftop bar that is better quality.

The hotel was nice especially the view of the river from the rooms. Unfortunately, on our first night, I found a cockroach in our room’s toilet area. The following morning, we reported this incident to the front desk and they told us that our room would be deep cleaned while we are out exploring the city. When we got back to the room at night, there were some marks left on the floor where the cockroach was. Upon asking the front desk, it turned out they deep cleaned a different room. They promised us a second time that our room will be deep cleaned. But unfortunately, they never got to it during our stay since the marks on the bathroom floor remained there throughout our entire stay. The hotel should really pay more attention to cleanliness. We expected a better response from the hotel since they are supposed to be a 5-star hotel.

Having stayed at the Anantara while the Avani was being built behind it, I was keen on trying it out. We just stayed for 2 nights and were not disappointed. Infinity rooftop pool with amazing view of Bangkok. Very clean. Attentive staff. Shopping centre attached, Anantara attached. Free boat shuttle up the river. We exchanged money at top floor of attached plaza shopping mall for very good rate. 7/11 on site. Will certainly be back.

We stayed at the Avani Riverside several years ago, which is why we decided to come back. Overall our stay was fine, friendly staff, a free upgrade, spacious room with river view and very comfortable bed. On the rooftop you still have the SEEN restaurant which is nice for a late night drink. You also have the rooftop pool, which we didn’t use though. Coming to the downsides, it is nice to have the SEEN rooftop in the hotel, although it is too pricey for what it is (Espresso martini for 700 Baht ex. Service charge and tax and 5000 Baht minimum spend for window seats) - there are much cooler places in town with reasonable prices. SIN rooftop above was crowded with a dodgy clientele and had an even pricier cocktail menu, which is why we didn’t stay there. The breakfast selection is fine, but the breakfast room is extremely crowded, giving a noisy and uncomfortable atmosphere. Generally, the hotel is packed with business customers, giving the whole hotel more of a business hotel vibe than a leisure hotel. Given the location, we knew the hotel was located more remotely, however in the past, the shuttle boat to BTS station operated every 20 minutes, now it operates only every hour(!) and makes an extra stop an Icon Siam and River city, which means most of the time you are forced to take a taxi and be stuck in traffic for a long time, due to the large distance to downtown. Overall we had a decent stay, but due to the above reasons we will probably prefer another location next time.

Beautiful beautiful hotel with an absolutely gorgeous view. The room was clean and comfy, the breakfast was absolute delicious with a great range. But what made the stay even better was how kind and caring all of the staff were. Thank you for making our stay at Avani Riverside perfect. The only downside to staying here was that it was a bit further away from all the main attractions in Bangkok, however the staff were always willing to assist with taxis. Thank you ❤️
