We really enjoyed our 10 day holiday in Madeira staying in the lovely Enotel Hotel Magnolia in Funchal, we stayed on a B&B basis to give flexibility to try different restaurants of which there are so many really good ones to choose from and mostly below 50 euro per couple in beer's. Our only one slight negative is for us the bed was to hard but I guess this comes down to personal preference. Our hotel room was cleaned daily and the whole hotel is so well looked after, the staff are very friendly, the hotel is located only a 10 minute walk from Funchal old Town and the same in the opposite direction to the Lido which is a lovely walk along the sea front. We'll definitely be returning to Hotel Magnolia.

Everything was excellent! The room was clean, the WiFi was fast and stable, and both breakfast and dinner were enjoyable. The staff was friendly and professional. The warm pool and sauna were perfect after a long hike, and the view was simply breathtaking.

Sufficient underground parking. Good size rooms. Massive lobby. Got outside pool with a garden outside and deckchairs. There's a inside pool (heated), small gym, massage services (expensive). We booked with breakfast - standard things but a wide variety. Everyone could speak English. Got supermarkets nearby (they're called 'hypermarkets' in Maderia). The rooms were cleaned daily, got kettle and 1 bottle of water and day, fridge, safe, tea and coffee, towels, shower and hand washing things, hairdryer. Could ask for slippers, toothbrush and paste, iron and ironing board. We didn't get it, but they do a buffet for €30 per person. Great service. Recommended.

Excellent hotel. The hot pool was great to enjoy after hikes. The location is about 15 minutes away from the city center. Very clean. Friendly staff. Breakfast is good as well

Fantastic hotel with great amenities and very clean. We were fortunate enough to have a room upgrade when we arrived at the hotel, which was a brilliant start to our holiday and a really set the mood for the rest of our stay. The staff are very friendly and keen to make your holiday as enjoyable as it can be. It is a little further from the Old Town than other hotels, about a 20 minute walk to the centre, but this didn’t bother us. We hope to return one day!
