DO NOT VISIT HERE!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I wish I could give this place zero stars. It was a catastrophe from nearly the beginning, and if I hadn't already paid a non-refundable deposit, I would have canceled my wedding at this location. The customer service is terrible, I felt like they completely ruined the entire wedding experience for me. We had complaints from the moment of arrival, check-in was a disaster for almost all of the 65 guests my fiance and I brought. The resort is worn down, a few of my guests had leaks in their rooms that the GM (Jose) ignored and showed no interest in dealing with. It was so bad that a few of my guests even met with the resort management (going over the top of Jose) and nothing came of it.
The resort also is breaching the contract I signed and not upholding its financial obligation. No one seems to care about anything at this resort and I am surprised that Marriott is affiliated with a place of such poor service.
As a Marriott (parent company of Royalton) shareholder and member, I am less than enthused to continue doing business with any of these companies. This has been a complete disaster. What a way to ruin a moment in my life that should have been a joyous occasion.
I have sent in several complaints and have yet to hear back from Marriott management or someone to handle any of this on the Royalton side. I cannot believe business is allowed to be handled this way. But I have no problem getting legal involved if I don't receive the money that is owed to me via my contract.

If you are traveling with a friend or family member I would think twice. I preordered two beds since I was traveling with my son, who is a college student. I’ve been told that even though I put in a request it doesn’t mean that hotel is required to honor my request since at this particular moment hotel is at full capacity, which definitely didn’t look this way to me. We were given a small foldable bad that is highly uncomfortable for grown ups. We spend a whole week in the resort and I had to suffer on a foldable bad. Management was highly rude and uncooperative. The worst experience I possible could have.

I recently stayed at this all-inclusive resort for five days, and I wish I could give it a lower rating than one star. My experience was nothing short of a nightmare from the moment I checked in.
Upon arrival, I was informed that the hotel was overbooked, and I would need to switch rooms the next day. While I was accommodating and understood the situation, I requested assistance with moving my luggage since I would be out on an excursion all day. When I returned later, I was shocked to find the new room had a leaking light fixture in the bathroom, with water pouring in from the bathroom above. This was not only unsanitary but completely unacceptable.
It took almost nine hours to be relocated to yet another room, and this new room was a noticeable downgrade from the one I had originally booked. To add insult to injury, I was not reimbursed for the downgrade despite the obvious difference in room type and price. I spent hours in the lobby, going back and forth with various staff members, only to be repeatedly given the runaround.
Eventually, a manager assured me that I would be credited the difference for the downgrade and that 2-3 nights of my stay would be comped due to all the inconveniences I endured. However, at checkout, I was presented with a full bill, with no credits, adjustments, or even a note in my account reflecting what had been promised.
The hotel’s lack of professionalism and dishonesty is appalling. I’ve never encountered such poor service, and the mismanagement of basic customer care was infuriating. This resort completely failed to live up to any reasonable expectation of hospitality, and I would advise anyone considering a stay here to look elsewhere. They have shown they cannot be trusted to deliver on their promises or provide a satisfactory guest experience.

Infrastructure is lacking. If walking stairs is a challenge for you ensure you get a room on the first floor as the elevators and escalators are unreliable. The staff tries to accommodate however many of the issues seem to be beyond their ability to control. For example why did multiple rooms on the 2nd floor have leaks in the ceilings no due to condensate lines being clogged? Invest in a more robust PM program so you can mlattract repeat customers instead of making a quick buck.

Lovely place, a bit miss and hit on the mini bar and the towels you get left in the room. The swim up bar in the hideaway is not always managed,but the restaurants and buffet have great quality food. Location amazing. The hotel needs a little TLC.
