Hotel LIVVO Anamar Suites

Myself, my husband and our 16 year son have just returned after our stay and the Anamar. This hotel is great! Staff are lovely and always saying Hello and Good night. Food is just as you expect at a buffet hotel. Breakfast was plenty full. Dinner was quite samey each night. The do have "special nights" like Asian and Mexican nights. Pool is a perfect size with a shallow and deeper end. Life guard on hand at all times and he also removes unattended towels that people have left to save a bed whilst they go out for the day. Poolside gum that our son made good use of too. Drinks are really reasonable too from the bar. Air con in all rooms. We had the cleaners in every other day and they were amazing. Normal size fridge too which was great. And it was always cold! Supermarket right around the corner which is also cheap and has everything you need. As this is a fair and honest review I have to say the balcony...the chairs are too wide so you have to sit side ways and you only get two. So as there was 3 of us we had to wedge a dinner table chair out there. Then there really was no Room to move.

Not a bad hotel, rooms are spacious and well maintained, areful with the shower though point it slightly wrong and it floods the bathroom. Limited deckchair space and deckchairs gets taken early frequently. The hotel is trying to minimise people claiming chairs and not using it for hours but not enough imo. Breakfast is good and service is excellent. If you wanna be close to the Yumbo centre you can't really go wrong here

BE CAREFUL: THE ROOM YOU BOOK MIGHT NOT BE THE ROOM YOU ARE GIVEN. Had to book a hotel with almost no notice after a mix up with the dates. One of the only ones available was LIVVO Anamar Suites. Boooed through Booking.com, there were numerous suites available to book… Booked a Junior Suite. Upon arrival I checked and headed to my room. I was given an apartment with two single beds rather than a suite with a king bed which I booked. Headed back to reception and explained this is not what I booked. The said there were no suites available even though they’re free to be booked online. Zero apology, lots of sighing like o was a burden. They eventually offered me a suite on the top floor with no balcony but I needed the bigger bed so had to take it. When I was at reception changing keys they explained they gave me the apartment because it closely matched the price of the suite I booked and the fact I chose the suite with no balcony I had saved them money as it was a cheaper room. They didn’t offer to refund the difference or upgrade me from B&B to HB. Housekeeping were good, the only problem was they never restocked the tea so I had to take it from the breakfast area… The breakfast was ok; good selection but the sausage and bacon left much to be desired and the pastries were far from being fresh. The check in experience and room issue really soured the experience and made me feel unwelcome in the hotel. Just bear in mind when you select a room and book online, that might not be the room you end up with.

Second stay here and first since renovation works. Rooms spotless, daily maid service, free safe and air-conditioning and a perfect location next door to Gold by Marina. Barely a five minute walk to the beach, Cita or Yumbo. If you prefer poolside as opposed to the beach then the pool area is a little small for the size of the hotel but they have another area at the rear with loungers and a couple of jacuzzis. All in all though a exceptionally nice hotel and enjoyed it that much we've booked a 3rd visit for next year.

Lovely and clean rooms, great location close to the yumbo centre, breakfast is very repetitive and ask for a sun facing room, I was left in a shadow all week :-(
