Myself, my husband and our 16 year son have just returned after our stay and the Anamar.
This hotel is great! Staff are lovely and always saying Hello and Good night. Food is just as you expect at a buffet hotel. Breakfast was plenty full. Dinner was quite samey each night.
The do have "special nights" like Asian and Mexican nights.
Pool is a perfect size with a shallow and deeper end. Life guard on hand at all times and he also removes unattended towels that people have left to save a bed whilst they go out for the day. Poolside gum that our son made good use of too. Drinks are really reasonable too from the bar. Air con in all rooms. We had the cleaners in every other day and they were amazing. Normal size fridge too which was great. And it was always cold!
Supermarket right around the corner which is also cheap and has everything you need. As this is a fair and honest review I have to say the balcony...the chairs are too wide so you have to sit side ways and you only get two. So as there was 3 of us we had to wedge a dinner table chair out there. Then there really was no Room to move.

Second stay here and first since renovation works. Rooms spotless, daily maid service, free safe and air-conditioning and a perfect location next door to Gold by Marina.
Barely a five minute walk to the beach, Cita or Yumbo.
If you prefer poolside as opposed to the beach then the pool area is a little small for the size of the hotel but they have another area at the rear with loungers and a couple of jacuzzis.
All in all though a exceptionally nice hotel and enjoyed it that much we've booked a 3rd visit for next year.

The staff are very friendly and helpful (especially Corina & Carolina in the restaurant). We opted for half- board and delighted with the choice and quality of food on offer.
The room is clean and comfortable (probably need a refresh paint etc).
Excellent location for easy access to buses, walking distance to the Maspolamas dunes etc.
Very enjoyable stay for a week.

This is the second time we have stayed here. 40 year old couple. The first time was during COVID. I’ll list out what we had problems with;
- the lounger towels, on our first visit you could change them every day, now only twice a week. We went to the beach one day, for a 4 star hotel you should be able to change them whenever you want.
- we had a WiFi router in our room that was brighter than the sun at night, see the picture. We had to put a towel over it.
- there appears to be no service elevator, we had to wait ages for the elevator during the day as the cleaners were using it.
- I lost an item of clothing, found it in the bottom shelf of the wardrobe which was covered in dust, had not been cleaned for a long time.
- we asked for a late checkout on the last day, the receptionist said the hotel was full. Didn’t even ask our room number, didn’t seem to care.
Hotel is in a great location, a short walk to the beach and restaurants. We love the La Costa bar. The little gym is also good. We won’t be back again, it feels like they’re trying to cut costs and it shows. If you’ve not bought breakfast the supermarket over the road out the reception has fresh pastries every day, they’re delicious.
