The Intercontinental covers the basics but falls short of the finesse, quality, and elegance expected of a 5-star hotel. At best, I’d give it a 4-star rating. Despite being only two years old, certain areas feel outdated. The beach is decent, though overshadowed by nearby construction, and some parts of the pool show signs of mold and have loose fixtures, posing a risk for children. While the food is good, the staff could benefit from additional training to better understand guest needs. Dinner time can get very busy, with an average wait time of about 20 minutes. Note that children are not permitted in the signature restaurants after 8 p.m. Unfortunately, the rooms have a chemical smell and feel unclean. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to friends or family, as it feels overpriced for what it delivers.

Good afternoon,
I would like to thank you for the great stay in the hotel rooms and villa.
The stay was amazing and special. I would like to thank Mr. Abdularaheem who really helped us during the stay. He was always assuring that our vacation will be great since before arrival till we left.
He is professional and cooperative. This experience makes me think about coming again to the resort and recommend it to my family and friends.
We wish him all the best.

Fabulous holiday distinction, family friendly, good food & amendments. However, the kitchen always took ages to make food as it was always busy, and the breakfast buffet had queues every day.. I had to have breakfast in the lobby cafe, which was good, to be honest, and the staff worked hard to deliver our food but the kitchen again was always too busy so there was delays almost everyday. However, the quality of the coffee and food is outstanding and highly recommended. Overall, I'd give it 7 out of 10
The shop at the hotel guy is a scammer
He puts prices from his head, making them up, and was rude to me and my siblings.
Highlight:
•They give you free bikes to ride up to 2000m around the island
•Free sauna & jacuzzi and full option gym access

Positives:
- rooms are very high quality
- restaurants are excellent and service is very good
- pool is fantastic
Negatives:
- you are at the end of a developing island so drive through what is basically a building site. Noise level from neighbouring breakwater development is 24 hrs a day. (See photo) Really noticeable when you are trying to sleep. Not 5* at all. I’m sure in 2 or 3 years it will be a lot better - but not in 2024. Bring ear plugs if you do book.

The hotel is new and stylish, which made a great first impression. We were grateful that they even upgraded us to a suite for free—the room was amazing! Spacious, comfortable, and really well designed. The staff also deserves a praise as they were incredibly friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast was nice, as well as the restaurant's design. On the downside, dinner (at the main restaurant) was disappointing: there wasn't much variety, the choice was very limited (mainly carbs), and the quality was pretty basic.
Also, there are only two pools in the hotel, which isn't a lot to begin with, however one of them is always empty because it's reserved for members only. That felt like a bit of a waste.
All in all, we had a really nice stay, and will be happy to visit again!
