Mount Lavinia Hotel is a fantastic place to stay. What truly makes it worthwhile is the rich history and unique vibe of the place. I stayed in the ocean view room, which was absolutely lovely. The hotel is also the backdrop of an intriguing love story, and you can take a tour to immerse yourself in its history, including the story’s unfolding in the tunnel of Mount Lavinia which still exists. From the exceptional service to the comfortable stay, good food, and, most of all, the historic atmosphere, this place offers an unforgettable experience.

We had our Christmas party at the Beach Hut at Mount Lavinia Hotel, and it was a wonderful experience! The location was absolutely perfect for a beach party. The food was excellent—there’s truly nothing to complain about. The staff were incredibly friendly and supportive from start to finish. Despite a bit of rain during the event, the team managed the situation seamlessly and ensured everything went smoothly. A special thanks to Mr. Raveendra for his support and helpful suggestions. The hotel definitely not a 4 star, may be a 1 star. The rooms are very old with need for renovation. The room we were given had dirty toilet, water flowing into the dry area after shower, mold and fungus on some parts of the wall. Moreover the entire building is very old and it’s evident in every nook and corner. The only good thing about the room was the view to the sea but it definitely cannot compensate for the sad state of the rooms. You can definitely find beautiful stays for this price elsewhere. Don’t get lured by the fancy lighting and architecture of the building.

Absolutely wonderful experience! The accommodation was comfortable and clean, with breathtaking views and a lovely pool. The food was fantastic, and the customer service was top-notch. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel like we were right at home with family. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay!
