Paradox was our first hotel on our 2 week holiday around Thailand and it did not disappoint. Excellent hospitality, free fruit tea and cold cloth on arrival which was very much needed, very accommodating of our early check in requests, and a free upgrade which was incredible. Our free upgrade was to a penthouse villa with a plunge pool and terrace which was beautiful. We didn't have breakfast included but one day decided to pay for it (600/650bht,pp) it was pricey, but definitely worth it, so much choice, fresh smoothies, and abundance of fruit, pancakes and hash browns which were our personal favourite, cooked breakfast along with Thai breakfast of noodles, curries and rice dishes. You would not get bored of this breakfast. The pools were great and with a free upgrade meant we had access to another pool which was nice to have the option. In a great location with the beach just outside the front gates and 7-11 and shops and restaurants outside the main entrance. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed a week here. Great staff always willing to help and make sure your stay is enjoyable. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. Staff in the dining room in the morning are very attentive and work hard to make sure guests enjoy their breakfast. Very good choice and lots of coffee. There were always sunbeds available at the pool and lifeguards were always in attendance. Good location, straight across the road to the beach and short walk to restaurants, if you choose not to eat at the hotel. Very much a family/couples location which felt safe to stroll out at night.

Gold jewelry and money stolen in the hotel! Huge loss! I stayed at the hotel in Room 126 from February 24 to 26, 2025. On the morning of Tuesday, the 25th, I left my room around 9 AM to have breakfast at the hotel. During this time, the hotel staff entered my room for cleaning without notifying me or obtaining my permission. When I returned to my room between 10:00 and 10:30 AM, I noticed a cleaning cart blocking the door. The door was closed. After swiping my key card to enter, I saw a cleaner inside. At first, I assumed she was just doing the cleaning, so I didn’t pay much attention. However, as soon as she saw us enter, she quickly grabbed things and left. Initially, I didn’t think much of it, assuming she had just finished cleaning and then leaving. However, later, I realized that some of my belongings were missing from my suitcase, specifically from the bag where I kept my jewelry. After checking carefully, I found that a gold necklace, gold earrings, other pieces of jewelry, and 2,000 Thai baht in cash were stolen. Looking back, the cleaner’s behavior was highly suspicious. First, she came to clean very early in the morning. Second, the cleaning cart was placed in a way that completely blocked the door. Third, the door was locked. Finally, she left in a hurry as soon as we entered. I demand that the hotel resolve this issue immediately, and I will pursue this matter to the end. So far, I have received no response. I will continue to follow up until I get a resolution.

The best stay I have ever had in my life :) The resort is stunning, always cleaned and looked after in every details. The beach is only 2 steps away - you literally have just to cross the road - and if you don't want to make the 5 min walk from the lobby to the beach, they will bring you there. The breakfast is definitely the highlight - serving any kind of food you might be looking for and most of it is cooked right on the spot upon your request. I got injured during my holiday and we ended up eating almost every night at the restaurant of the resort and we didn't get let down at all - the food was really nice and the service excellent. Above all, everyone is super welcoming, lovely and caring. They try to accommodate your request in any possible way making you feeling completely at home and at ease. I would definitely recommend wether you are a group of friends (as we did), a solo traveller, a couple or a family - you will definitely enjoy it. I'm already thinking to come back there soon :)

La Abditory

I want to make an update to my earlier review. While there are improvements needed to the resort (from security/ staff training/ IT management), my stay for the last 3 days has been fairly comfortable. The room that was assigned to us is dated, barely furnished, and not value for money compared to the other rooms / villas that are renovated and supposedly cheaper than our suites, but our chambermaid has not neglected the daily housekeeping to ensure the room is dust-free in every corner and I am appreciative. Over the last few days, I see all employees work very hard around the resort to keep a very large resort clean and maintained and it is only fair to be kind and give credits when it is due. Albeit the initial poor experience at check-in, I can sense that the ground employees try their best to provide a positive experience for all their guests. Location-wise, it is next to Karon beach so it is finely accessible to good amenities. It is a relatively good resort for families for its large space, compared to the other resorts in the vicinity as it has many reasonable amenities to keep younger guests busy.
