I visited the Resort in 2017 and I loved it. This second time, in August 2025, felt like a disappointment. We reserved a 2-floor room in the Resort with our 1-year-old baby for 5 nights. The room was very poorly maintained: stains on all pieces of furniture, sticky remote controllers, holes in the tiled floor, black marks all over the walls. Despite immediately raising the matter with the staff - also showing them the pictures enclosed - it took 48 hours to be taken seriously. Multiple times I was promised to be provided updates on potential solutions and multiple times the staff forgot to contact me. For the last three nights, we were moved to a room in the Ocean Suites which is definitely newer. This was appreciated despite having to pack and unpack again. However there were works being performed on our floor, so this was frequently dirty and noisy. The worst part was when, at checkout, rather than being offered any discount to make up for the bad experience, I was asked for double payments for the last three nights - both for the room at Ocean Suites and the original one at the Resort!!!! All in all, the village is great, the restaurants are nice, all the services offered are great (albeit everything comes with an additional price, like tennis courts, which is unheard of in 5* hotels), and this is an amazing place for families. I will potentially come back eventually. But you need to be aware that some rooms are very poorly maintained and that the staff does not live up to the expectations of a Luxury Collection, >600€ per night hotel.

We, as a family of four, recently stayed at Pine Cliffs Hotel in Albufeira and had the most wonderful experience imaginable! The resort is set atop spectacular ochre-red cliffs with breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and beautifully manicured gardens. The blend of modern luxury and authentic Portuguese charm created a relaxing and special atmosphere for the entire family. Our accommodation was perfect—spacious, elegantly decorated, and spotlessly clean, with a sun-soaked terrace that made every morning feel magical. The resort’s amenities kept us all happy: the Serenity Spa was a tranquil oasis, while our children were thrilled with the Porto Pirata adventure village, mini-golf, and all the family-friendly activities on offer. Dining was a true highlight, with so many incredible restaurants to choose from. Every meal, from the fresh seafood at Maré to delicious burgers at Burgler and authentic Italian at Portofino, was a treat for both adults and kids alike. Special themed nights, seasonal activities, and live music added to the fun, keeping our days and evenings vibrant and memorable. The warm hospitality made all the difference—every member of staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and cared for. We also enjoyed the stunning beach, inviting pools, and beautiful nature all around us. If you’re seeking a luxurious, family-friendly getaway where every detail is thoughtfully taken care of, Pine Cliffs Resort is the ultimate destination. We created memories here that will last a lifetime and can’t wait to return!

Serene Branch

This hotel is very nice and the property is very clean. If you are traveling as a family or with kids this will probably be the perfect hotel for you. That being said, my boyfriend and I traveled here as a couple and while it was still a very nice hotel, there are obviously a lot of children. Not a huge deal, other than that it can be loud and distracting. Do note that they don’t have any adult-only spaces other than the Spa (which I highly recommend). Even the champagne bar was crawling with children which surprised us. Again, it’s a super family friendly resort so we completely understand, we just wish there were more adult-only options for those traveling without children. Room was nice and clean and not super noisy thankfully. There’s also a community of cats living at this resort which may have been the highlight of the stay! Food is resort level, so just average for the price but we thought the breakfast buffet was an awesome deal. Still recommend staying here!

The nicest place for any type of holiday for just a couple or families it has lots of great activities for the children such as lots of pools, parks and entertainment for them all to enjoy. Lots of great restaurants with a great variety of food. The rooms are perfectly clean and have great views. The place its self is very well kept with it all being tidy and the gardens are all in great condition. The views from the cliffs are a must do and especially at sunset you can walk down to the beach which is accessible for all. The staff are all super friendly and helpful Couldn’t ask for more

Buyer Beware: We booked the Neptuno Suite, which we were sold on as being the best room on property, If this was the best room , i can't imagine what all the others were like. We were told we had an Ocean Front suite, we were staring at the side of another building. We had two terraces which we couldn't access because there were NO handles to get back into the room. This property is so far off brand for Marriott it was bizarre. The lighting in the room was a variety of color temperature, ranging from hospital room lighting to warm yellow. Barely any water pressure in the bathroom. Falling apart and dated furniture. Refrigerator was like warm at best. Property is not ADA accessible. The front desk manager was RUDE and after requesting to speak to the GM, nobody every called. There is no attention to detail or customer service and definitely NOT worth the money we paid for it.
