We had a very pleasant stay at the Royalton Antigua.
I must admit, prior to coming we were a little nervous based on the reviews, however we found that experience was only positive.
Unlike some of the things we read, the staff was incredibly friendly. Nearly everyone we passed by would wish us a good day and smile. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Our butlers (Marcus and Coniah) checked in throughout our stay.
The property was very well kept. We never had any issues with cleanliness. Some people would complain about little bugs or salt stain spots but if you fail to consider you are literally sitting on a natural peninsula next to a salt ocean, you should probably just vacation at one of those manufactured indoor water parks. The appeal of this resort is the natural surroundings. Nature and all!
The only aspect that was “hit or miss” was some of the food. It was not bad, but at times lacked flavor and quality. With that said, some of the food we ate off property was also this way.
Overall - we would not hesitate to return to this lovely resort in the future !

The only redeeming quality of the Royalton Antigua was the beach. It was beautiful and well-maintained, offering a serene escape. Unfortunately, everything else about the resort was a complete letdown.
The service was unpleasant and painfully slow. Staff seemed uninterested in helping, and any requests—whether for basic housekeeping or drinks—took forever to be addressed, if they were addressed at all. It felt like we were an inconvenience rather than valued guests.
The food was by far the worst part of the resort. The buffet was consistently cold and bland, while the à la carte restaurants were an exercise in frustration—long wait times, limited menus, and mediocre dishes that left us disappointed every time. We ended up relying on room service, which wasn’t great either, but at least it saved us from sitting through another underwhelming meal around the resort. For the price, this was absolutely unacceptable and a complete waste of money.
The nightlife was non-existent. For a resort that advertises a lively atmosphere, the evenings were boring and uninspired. The so-called “entertainment” was either poorly organized or simply not worth attending.
This place is far from the luxury experience it claims to provide. I would not recommend it to anyone looking for good food, service, enjoyable activities, or a memorable vacation—unless you plan on spending all your time on the beach and ignoring everything else.

The only thing this resort has going for it is the beautiful beach—but even that couldn’t make up for the overall lackluster experience. Everything about this place felt uninspired, as if the staff were doing you a favor rather than providing genuine hospitality.
Service was slow and indifferent, leaving us feeling like an inconvenience more often than not. The food was disappointing—bland, limited in variety, and nowhere near the quality expected at a resort in this price range.
Our room left much to be desired, with maintenance and cleanliness clearly not priorities. The resort itself lacked any sense of energy or effort—it’s as though they’re content with offering the bare minimum because of the beachfront location.
While the beach is undeniably gorgeous, even that was marred by the lack of attentive service.
Overall, Royalton Antigua fails to deliver on the basics of a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. I wouldn’t recommend it and definitely won’t be returning.

This Royalton resort located in Antigua is beautiful. The rooms, food, and entertainment are fantastic. I was diamond club level which gives you different perks including butler service and Kai and Brandon provided
Butler service like no other. Other diamond club members wanted them from the talk around the resort. It has a kid club and a teen club. The beach is beautiful with waiter service. The ala cart restaurants were all great and the buffet had something a little different each day. I will visit this place again for another wonderful vacation in paradise.

Currently staying at the Royalton. Great location, one of the nicest beachfront areas of any all inclusive I've stayed at. Hotel is fine, nothing fancy but comfortable. Food quality has been mixed. Buffet has the same food day and night so it gets boring quickly. Restaurant reservation system is awful. We had a butler and it was a stretch for him to book a restaurant. Both times we showed up for our reso, the place was less than half full. Butler service isn't worth it generally. They are quite limited to what they can do and it's often just easier to do something yourself. They require repeated reminders on requests and some never got addressed. Service has been awful overall. There have been some very nice staff but most are completely indifferent towards you. We had two nights where we waited over 1.5 hrs for our main course at dinner. Very limited water sports options. Given the price I would have hoped for a better experience but I'd cross any Royalton resorts off my list in the future. There are many other options where you could get better service or the same level of service but pay less.
