enjoyed a much-needed vacation at the beginning of January 2025 at a small resort that was well-maintained. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the room service was great. However, the food was just okay—not bad, but nothing special.
The customer service left something to be desired. While the employees were friendly, it seemed they lacked proper training in hospitality, as they appeared to have been hired without any formal preparation.
The beach was public, which meant there were many people walking along it trying to sell their products, which I found bothersome. It was difficult to relax with constant interruptions.
The entertainment during the week was disappointing; I would rate it a zero on a scale of 1 to 10. It's unclear how they organized it, but it certainly didn’t live up to expectations. If you're looking for a quiet and restful vacation, I recommend going during the week. The atmosphere changes significantly on Fridays and weekends, as the party crowd arrives.
Overall, while the location and property were nice, there are significant improvements needed in both entertainment and customer service. Despite these issues, I would consider returning to this property.

I was hesitant about this trip due to the reviews, but since it was already booked, I prepared myself for any potential disappointments. To my surprise, our experience exceeded expectations, showing noticeable improvements.
The resort was clean, modern, and well-maintained. Check-in was seamless, and we were welcomed with a drink upon arrival. Our room included a complimentary champagne bottle and was conveniently located near the main amenities.
We arrived on Independence Day, and the celebrations were impressive. The special food service featured a variety of Caribbean dishes, especially Antiguan cuisine, which was absolutely delicious—I couldn’t get enough! The themed entertainment added a festive and vibrant touch to the stay.
The only downside was the service; while the staff was polite, the attentiveness could use some improvement. I’d rate it a 6/10. However, this didn’t take away from the overall experience. The on-site club was a highlight of our evenings—it was genuinely fun every night!
Overall, this resort is on the right track. With a little more time, I’m confident it will achieve a seamless and exceptional experience for its guests.

Unfortunately, we have to warn you away from this spot. The Royalton is a beautiful property with friendly staff. But despite those positives, we came away with the view that it is hugely mismanaged. It utterly failed to provide an elevated guest experience.
We stayed for 8 days in the Diamond Club and were hugely disappointed. The food quality is remarkably low—we were shocked to find not only the low-quality of the meals, but also that our paid-extra booking did not include anything more than bottom-bin wine. Nor were food upgrades included in most of the on-site restaurants. We stopped eating on property halfway through the stay.
We again have to stress how friendly and attentive the staff was. But it was clear that they were not given the resources to succeed. For example, there was a professional and hard-working woman taking food and drink orders at the pools and beach. But there was only one of her for the entire Diamond Club, so it was difficult to get service. And even on a day that we paid for a private cabana, it took over two hours to get the burgers we ordered (which were both burnt and flavorless).
The highlight of the resort was the rooms, which are modern and clean. But even then, our so-called elevated room featured a broken table, inconsistent housekeeping (we were promised nightly turndown service but received it only once), and a bumpy check-in process. And we were often short of towels, soap, etc. The shower was comfortable but had watered-down body wash in the container. It was fine. But are you paying for “fine” at that rate?
As an all-inclusive, they were certainly happy to provide you with copious amounts of liquor. But anything but the most basic cocktails were not made correctly.
Overall, we were charmed by Antigua and all of the people from the island that we met, including the hard-working people at the resort. We will be returning to the island for sure—but we will not be returning to the Royalton.

The place is beautiful! The food is amazing. The people that work here are very kind and professional. However, the resort seems like they do not have enough people working. Many of the workers are working several different stations and seem "overtired". Service is VERY LAID BACK. No sense of urgency. Not sure how long the resort has been around but it seems like it's at the beginning stages of figuring things out. The restaurants are small. But once again, the food is delicious. The nightly shows are entertaining. In a nutshell, I've stayed at many Caribbean Resorts. This resort has a lot of potential but not worth what we paid.

Beach front is beautiful. However, this is marketed as a 5-star hotel. It is NOT!!! You will starve bc the food is dry trash. The rooms are standard, nothing to write home about. The spa is average. You can get a decent massage for $$$, but again, nothing to write home about. The day to day staff were extremely hospitable!
