If you are visiting Oman and want to give yourself a memorable experience, this is the place.
There is something magical about the location and the architecture of the hotel and the fact that spaces are so big, makes everything even more special. You will be welcomed by smiling staff, a wonderful scent of frankincense, dates and Omani coffee.
My favorite spot was the swimming pool but also the Italian restaurant (Tuscan, to be precise) is lovely with an incredible terrace right on the beach.
There is not much to do at night and there are hiccups here and there, but the whole atmosphere is delightful and I can recommend it to all. No kids allowed.

While many reviews highlight how great this hotel is, it's something you really have to experience for yourself. My partner and I stayed here for our anniversary and had a wonderful time. The attention to detail throughout our stay was impressive, and the hospitality made us feel truly welcome. We’re already planning to come back for future anniversaries. Thanks to everyone for making it such a memorable trip!

My husband and I had a fantastic experience at the hotel. From the arrival staff to the hospitality team, housekeeping, pool attendants, lifeguards, and restaurant staff, everyone was welcoming, friendly, and extremely attentive.
The amenities were superb and exceeded our expectations.
The pool area was particularly delightful with an infinity pool Looking out to the Gulf sea.
The chef at breakfast was accommodating, catering to our needs even when they weren't on the menu.
The private beach was a bonus , it’s quiet and secluded, the beach help were extremely helpful- the hotel also offer a cool box at the beach was an added bonus we didn't expect.
While the hotel is a bit far from the city, requiring preparation for taxi fares, there is a shuttle service to the souk and the mall. However, for other destinations, be prepared to pay for taxis. British travellers should note that the exchange rate is currently weak, making expenses higher.
It's important to note that there are no prayer facilities on the premises. Muslim guests should plan where to pray their Jumma prayers. However, the addition of a small mosque in the future would make this hotel perfect.
Overall, it's a hotel you won't regret staying at. It beautifully showcases its artistic heritage and Omani hospitality, making it a fantastic place to stay.

Lovely place. Brilliant staff and awesome facilities. The private beach is amazing and I cannot wait to go back. The staff were very helpful and offered advice on activities, best time to go to places and also arranged for taxis etc. They genuinely seemed to care about our well being.

Returned to our Autumn paradise in the sun at this fabulous hotel this time at Al Husn. From the meet and greet service at airport to the wave off at departure the service is exemplary. Facilities are immaculate and across the estate of the three hotels, all needs are catered for. Lots of high quality restaurants, many pools tennis and an extensive gym. Highlights for me were the three restaurants Aangan serving Indian cuisine to a sublime standard, Sultanas international flair and cliff top views make for a fabulous evening. During the day Mahhara was our go to for high quality simple fair with a beautiful beach view. Rooms are spacious with huge comfortable bed, very clean throughout we had a limited sea view from room 1342 but on the quiet side not looking at the other hotels so as requested. As always the staff courteous but not stuffy and nothing is ever too much. Highly recommend.
