The Veranda Grand Baie Half Board package includes the following:

  • Breakfast and dinner served buffet style at the main restaurant
  • A credit of Rs 600 per adult, per night at the beach restaurant for dinner (unused credit cannot be accumulated)
  • Dinner included for guests who have booked a Privilege room

The Veranda Grand Baie All Add In (all-inclusive) package includes the following:

  • Daily breakfast (7am to 10am) served buffet style at the main restaurant
  • Daily lunch (12pm to 3pm) served buffet style or table d’hôte at the main restaurant OR a Rs 400 credit per person, per day at beach restaurant (weather permitting)
  • Daily dinner (7pm to 10pm) served buffet style or table d’hôte at the main restaurant OR a Rs 600 credit per person, per day at beach restaurant (weather permitting)
  • Afternoon tea, coffee and pancakes and/or daily Mauritian delicacies (4pm to 5pm)
  • Snacking options served at the street food mobile kiosk (12pm to 3pm)
  • Soft drinks, juices, mineral water, local beers, cocktails, local spirits and house wines served by the glass at the bar (11am to 11pm)
  • A picnic box will be available for guests leaving the resort for the day (24-hour advanced reservation required)
  • In-room coffee and tea facilities replenished once daily
  • In-room minibar items replenished once daily (including soft drinks, local juices, water and local beers)

Guests booking the All Add In package can enjoy food and drink service at Veranda Palmar Beach Hotel, Veranda Pointe aux Biches Hotel, Veranda Paul & Virginie Hotel and Veranda Tamarin Hotel without any supplement (24-hour advanced reservation, subject to availability and to hotel’s terms and conditions). Transport is at client’s cost.

Staff are all very warm, genuine and friendly. Food is very good. Gardens are very well maintained, like a tropical paradise. Safe, happy child friendly hotel. Nice pool. Location very good but I gave 4 instead of 5 stsrs, as on weekends there is a nightclub nearby that blasts music all night. Animation staff are all fantastic, but could improve on organising more guest activities on the volleyball / badminton play area. In other hotels 20 minutes before a game of football/ volleyball, staff would actively go around asking guests to participate, but not here, so the daily 4pm volleyball game rarely happens.

We came here for family vacation and we are more than happy with the hotel services and accommodation. It is a small hotel, not so many rooms, boutique style hotel with a beautiful creole style decoration. We request special food for breakfast which are served everyday with love. We really appreciate and was a really kind gesture. We had a nice room and was clean and well done everyday. We had nice outings as well recommended by the ream of the hotel. We recommend the hotel. It is a family friendly hotel.

The welcome we received from the staff was nothing short of amazing – warm smiles, gracious greetings, and a sincere eagerness to make us feel right at home. The check-in process was one of the most intimate and pleasant we’ve ever experienced. Rather than feeling transactional or rushed, it was relaxed and personalized, making us feel like valued guests rather than just another booking. We appreciated the attention to detail and the thoughtful way everything was explained to us. Throughout our stay, every member of the staff continued to impress us with their friendliness and professionalism. Whether we were passing by reception, dining, or simply relaxing on the property, we were always met with warm greetings and helpful attitudes. It’s clear that the staff take real pride in creating a positive experience for guests, and it made a big difference in how enjoyable and relaxing our time was. We left feeling incredibly refreshed and well taken care of, and it’s largely thanks to the incredible team at Veranda Grand Baie. We recently enjoyed a 10-day stay at Veranda Grand Baie and had a very positive experience overall. The hotel's atmosphere was consistently welcoming and friendly, which we truly appreciated. It provided a quiet and peaceful base for our time there, which was exactly what we were looking for. While we didn't participate extensively in the offered entertainment programs ourselves, we noted there seemed to be a good variety available for guests. The presence of a well-maintained gym and activity areas was also a plus. A particular highlight was the exceptional service from our housekeeper, Vimah. Her genuine friendliness was evident and very much appreciated. She maintained our room to an excellent standard – it was consistently well-maintained and clean, always feeling fresh, almost like returning to a newly prepared room each day. We are sincerely grateful for her attentive work. We are also pleased to note that the few specific requests we did make during our stay were handled promptly and efficiently by the staff. This was a comfortable and hospitable stay, and we would certainly recommend this hotel.

I recently stayed at Hotel Veranda in Grand Baie and had a mixed experience that I believe is worth sharing for future guests. Pros: • Excellent location: The hotel is right on the beach and just a short distance from the lively center of Grand Baie, making it easy to explore the area. • Welcoming staff: The team at reception and around the hotel generally offer a warm welcome, which adds a nice touch to the arrival experience. • Range of services: There is a good variety of services offered on-site, which gives guests plenty of options for relaxation and entertainment. • Good value for money: The pricing is competitive for the location and facilities, making it an accessible option in the Grand Baie area. • Tastefully decorated rooms: The interiors of the rooms are pleasant and well-maintained, creating a comfortable atmosphere, whilst the bed (mattress) itself wasn’t very comfortable. Cons: • Underwhelming catering: The food experience was disappointing, with very small portions and quality that didn’t meet expectations. I asked for soft boiled eggs at breakfast and received eggs that weren’t cooked enough. • Noise issues: Rooms are not well insulated, and conversations or movements from neighboring rooms or the outside can be clearly heard, which affects rest and privacy. • Limited views: Despite being beachfront, most rooms do not offer sea views, which might be a letdown for some guests. • Inconsistent WiFi: Internet speed and coverage across the hotel were unreliable, which can be frustrating, especially for those needing connectivity. • Staff competence: While friendly, some staff members lacked proper training. The check-out process was disorganized, with errors in the invoice. Additionally, the client survey system was either not working or unfamiliar to the reception staff. Overall: Hotel Veranda offers a great location and good value, with warm hospitality and pleasant decor. However, there are areas that need improvement, particularly in terms of food quality, soundproofing, and staff training. It may still suit budget-conscious travelers who prioritize location.
