Wow what an experience. I'm always about the food first and boy did this place NOT disappoint. We were there for 5 nights and the food was different and outstanding everyday. We opted for dinner and breakfast and it was perfect. The pools are beautiful and are so scenic and perfect for pics. The rooms were decent and spacious. The location was close enough to walk to the public beach and close to all amenities. The snorkeling crew were fabulous. I've snorkeled in several places but never got the hang of it. The tutorial I received opened up a whole new underwater world I never knew existed. The Porter at the door was outstanding and assisted in booking several excursions. In the evening my granddaughter enjoyed the live entertainment and dancing and we played in the games room till we were too tired to play anymore. What a beautiful resort. Well worth every dollar.

Hotel Anelia is located in Flic en Flac, about an hour's drive from Port Louis, in an area known for beautiful beaches. The hotel boasts a great sea view and features both an infinity pool and a natural pool. Amenities include a gym, spa, and play area. Rooms are spacious and clean, and the room service is commendable. Areas for potential improvement include staff engagement and food variety. While the staff was adequate, guests from Sri Lanka and perhaps other regions may find the level of interaction less warm compared to what they are accustomed to. The breakfast options could also benefit from more variety, although the hotel did have a special dinner setup on one occasion during the stay. A note for South Asian travelers: be aware that hand biddets are not provided in the rooms or public restrooms; only paper tissues are available. If this is a concern, it's advisable to check with the hotel beforehand. The hotel's location is convenient, with Casela Park nearby and other activities easily accessible. There is no mini bar ,but have a refrigerator inside the room.

The staff in the hotel was amazing- helpful, really good attention to the details and always smiling. The quality of the food and coctails- good. The hotel has two swimming pools, and one additional located on the shore, where you can snorkeling and see colorful fish (even a snake:) The public Flic en Flac beach is located about 10 minutes walking. The nearest supermarket-the same distance. The room was spacious, with private balcony.

A very beautiful place with almost everything you need for a seaside vacation.We had a 5 day stay there and booked a Seaview superior room. The room was very much clean and well maintained;the view from the room was spectacular.Cleaning service was good. Now coming to the foods....both English and Indian foods are available and they are all of good taste(p.s.-the Indian dishes were awesome). They have two pools and one of them is infinity pool;you can also take bath in the ocean. They have a private beach and you can enjoy a soothing sunset view from there (we enjoyed from our room balcony) The only thing we didn't enjoyed about the hotel is we had to wait for near about 6 hours for room to be ready in there lobby as we reached at 8 am and their check in time was 2 pm....it was too tiring for us after an overnight flight journey...but as it was there rule..so we had to do that...but after when we got our room and looked outside we forgot everything 😀😀

An Unforgettable Stay in Paradise! We had an amazing vacation at Sand Suites Hotel Mauritius! The hotel is perfectly located, surrounded by nature and just a few steps from the beach. The rooms are modern, stylish, and extremely comfortable. Every detail was thoughtfully designed, and the cleanliness was impeccable. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They went above and beyond to make our stay special. The breakfast was delicious and varied, with fresh tropical fruits and local delicacies that we absolutely loved. One of the highlights of our stay was the wide range of water activities offered by the hotel. We had an incredible experience snorkeling among colorful coral reefs—the underwater world was truly mesmerizing! We also enjoyed kayaking and paddleboarding in the calm lagoon waters. For those looking for more adventure, the hotel arranges diving excursions and boat trips. The sunset catamaran cruise was simply unforgettable! Relaxing by the pool and soaking in the peaceful atmosphere of the hotel was also a wonderful experience. Myself and my now wife we got married here on the beach. This hotel was just what we was looking for location location location such a smooth operation from as you are picking up from the airport and delivered to reception and likewise for the return homebound you are looked after all the way the two ladies who look after the wedding events are so kind and helpful nothing is to much trouble. Over all we just stayed within the hotel and beach area every member of staff looked after you all day and night,after there boat house you can sail to water sky glass bottom boat too it was a fabulous place for a couples luxury holiday

We had our wedding reception at Sands last month and it was really magical! We planned our special day almost a year in advance with the help and support of Laurent, the hotel manager, who did a magnificent job at executing our wedding. After lots of back and forth communication, he really impressed us with the end result from the set up of the event to the timing of the activities. We would also like thank all the staff that helped and served us during our wedding. The service was impeccable, as well as the chef and his team who made a delicious and beautiful menu for us and our guests. We are grateful for everyone at Sands who made our wedding the most beautiful we could imagine by going beyond our expectations!

Although I have been, and seen „places” in my life, Sands redefined the way I perceive relax in a seaside resort. Never before had I been welcomed by 8 (literally, eight) people upon arrival. Never had I had my bed made up in the morning and prepped for sleep in the evening, both happening only and always when I was having food in the restaurant. Never had I experienced such a silence and relaxing ambience. Thank you Sands, for now I’m headed to another hotel for the rest of my stay in Mauritius, but I will surely see you again in the future! ❤️

Hotel is exceptionally clean and rooms are well looked after. Restaurant serves a great range of high quality dishes catering for both non-veg and veg with different buffet themes every night. Restaurant staff and chefs are friendly, welcoming and delightful with special mention to Will and his team for making every night so welcoming. Beach area has good amenities and was well looked after including beds which were a plenty during our stay. Improvements can be made on housekeeping which didn't always deliver the turn down service or adequate towels unless requested. However, I must add all requests were quickly followed up without delay. One of the ladies on beach towel duty looks like she didn't want to be there and never presented with a smile or a willingness to converse but she was an exception to all the other staff we encountered and interacted with. A great selection of nautical activities included free of charge but not very well advertised to guests. The young boys at the nautical centre should be better trained to deliver the important safety instructions when at sea in English as well as in French. All water equipment was well maintained and appeared to be of good quality. Purchasing drinks at the hotel is very expensive and couldn't understand why an additional surcharge was added for drinks purchased at the beach side restaurants or pool bar by staying guests; seems unfair and unjust when you've already paid a premium for staying at the hotel. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel and compliment all the staff for making each day memorable with their tentative and happy nature.

Avoid This Hotel at All Costs – Absolutely Terrible Customer Service! I don’t even know how this hotel has five stars because the customer service is abysmal. The front desk and restaurant staff was rude, unhelpful, and completely uninterested in providing even the most basic assistance. Every time I asked a simple question—about local recommendations, restaurant hours—I was met with blank stares or dismissive responses. It felt like they were making up answers just to get rid of me. I have asked to fixed the two phones in the room and the curtains and they don't seem to even care. For a supposedly "luxury" hotel, I’ve had better service at a roadside motel. Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else unless you enjoy being treated like a burden. Zero stars if I could.

We stayed for 5 nights; Pros; 1- the spa by l'occitane is a nice, the ladies are sweet and massage was good 2- the beach is nice and clean. Cons, 1- We booked a beach-view room but the view is blocked by trees and they refused to change it. The walls are thin you can hear all the noises outside. There is no warm/hot water in the bathroom only super cold. 2- food, buffet is below average one day we saw a small cockroach at the buffet table, the Asian restaurent was closed through-out my stay, the beach bar restaurent is good but opens from 12-5. Overall limited options. 3- Service overall is very bad, slow, no service at the beach, no complementary water at the rooms except for day of arrival 4- Cleanness, the facility overall is not very clean. Overall if you are looking for 5 stars Standards, this is not the one.

Pros: Nice location. Sunsets are beautiful. Some staff were helpful and friendly. They had a Santa and presents for the kids. Food was good. Cons: A lot of the staff are unfriendly and unhelpful. Staff don’t use common sense; we have hungry kids; let them eat. Instead we had to wait 2 hours. One staff member wouldn’t let us have a piece of pineapple because ‘it wasn’t time to eat’ Room was very run down and old. Plug sockets don’t work, some falling off the wall. Phones are rubbish. No QR code for in room dining, which was a nightmare to order. There are A-LOT of mosquitoes. Be warned. We had to kill maybe 10 every time we went into the room and still got bitten overnight. Best guess why: There is a lake in the hotel, water looks stagnant. We’ve stayed in many hotels in mauritius. This is the lowest for customer service and room quality. Needs new management, morale was low, staff seemed very unhappy and more interested in sticking to their rule book than being helpful. Will not be returning and I’d suggest you look elsewhere.

The hotel took quite a lot of time for check-in. and they informed us that we need to give 24 hours' of notice for veg food. That didn't seem fair. We had to have our meals outside for that reason (except Bfast). Except for these cons, the experience was great. Bfast had a fantastic spread even for vegetarians (although the menu didn't change much). Very sweet of them to provide a bottle of champagne and cake + fruits for our honeymoon. Loved the activities . The boathouse staff is really good and patient. We had a good time trying various water sports.

From when you arrive at the resort you are treated very well with helpful staff in beautiful surroundings. The rooms are spacious with all you need and balconies. The balconies do vary from room to room, some are covered, others are open and some are a bit of a mix! They do need to spend a bit of time checking the maintenance of the rooms, the light system seems overly complex and doesn't work all that well, some switches are loose, one party in our group couldn't turn a bedside light off without turning off all the lights for example. Our room had a loose toilet seat and the shower amenities fell off the wall. The rest of the resort was fantastic, pools were lovely plenty of bars, deck chairs did get busy around the pools but there were always some on the beach. The beach was very clean and super clear water in the lagoon for snorkeling. There were water sport activities including sailing, paddle boards wind surfing and pedalos. You could also borrow reef shoes, fins and snorkels (although they were full face snorkels that have been shown to be dangerous and you shouldn't dive under the water with). We did have one meal at the beach front restaurant which we weren't that impressed with, food didn't come out together, wasn't hot and some portions were very small. The hotel can help with taxis into the town were there are loads of options or you can walk down the beach about 30mins, be warned it might be hard to get a taxi back at night though! Breakfast was a good spread with plenty of options, my wife wasn't a fan of the machine coffee served so you can ask the staff for a proper coffee from the barrister upstairs. Would certainly stay here again should the opportunity arise and could maybe try the Indian and Thai restaurants.

As Mauritians, me and my sister were pleasantly surprised by how nicely we were being treated which is not usually the case in other hotels. We went for a breakfast buffet only which was at rs1400; we are vegetarians and there was a lot of vegetarian options. I would say almost 75% of the buffet menu was vegetarian. From hashbrowns to fried rice to parmesan wheel there was something for everyone. Everything was very succulent the exotic fruits were very fresh and sweet. Our waitress miss priya moorghen was very helpful and checked on us from time to time. In my opinion this breakfast buffet was value for money. And everyone else working there wore a smile on their face and were extremely welcoming.

Booked a spa treatment - The location and hotel is very nice. Spa treatment was an incredible experience and spa staff are very nice. I would highly recommend the spa. However my lunch experience at the coquillage restaurant was not that great. M. Priya the waiter seemed to be bothered to take our order. And overall the food was not to the expectation .

La Pirogue is my favourite resort in Mauritius. The friendly atmosphere with excellent service offers any and everyone the perfect, exotic, relaxed and fun experience. The staff go above and beyond to have a memorable stay to entice you back. Entertainment is tailored to all ages and the food and service is excellent. The rooms are perfectly set up and the amazing beach right at your doorstep makes this a must stay! Have to add that the beach facilities from kayaking, pedal boats, paddle boards, snorkeling and even scuba diving trips 5 minutes from the beach are incredibly well organised and made this trip all the more wonderful! We treated ourselves to a spa - the authentic Mauritian massage was the best i have had. So grateful for such a memorable experience.

We recently stayed at Pirogue and everything was lovely especially the staff who is doing a great job. All the team at the kids club is amazing and took care of my son, Radu in an impeccable manner. The food is great, so fresh, the property is nice and I loved the sunsets on the beach, the garden full of palm trees and birds, simply paradise. I will come back and truly recommend to everyone.

Le Morne sea food restaurant oh my god what an amazing experience 5star experience but to be honest more like silver service 10star. Our waiter Jimmy was polite, attentive, served with a smile, keen to engage and had the best service skills i have experienced to date! 100% recommend and i would personally ask to be served by him ! Just perfect ! We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Buddha-Bar, and it was an exceptional experience. Darren, the service team leader, was so friendly and ensured everything went perfectly. Kumar, our server, was attentive and made us feel truly special. The salmon and rice dish was cooked to perfection, and the surprise anniversary cake was a thoughtful and delicious touch. The hotel is gorgeous, and the beach view is simply stunning. We’re already tempted to come back for a stay! Highly recommend this restaurant and the overall Sugar Beach experience.

All around a great experience, highly recommended! The main highlight for us was the staff. Right from the start all of the staff were highly attentive, incredibly friendly, professional and forthcoming while at the same time being very authentic and genuine, but never intrusive. The Villa was beautiful, modern and very clean, located only footsteps from the beach. Various food options where the quality was consistently high. Also have a very nice wine list. Overall highly recommended for people or families looking for a luxurious getaway in a very friendly, family-like atmosphere.

The place is amazing! Restaurant stuff very professional! Many thanks to Akeel and Hisha they payed attention to what we liked and provided it for no time! Our butler names was Avi he was spotless! Very helpful and supportive. Was there anytime. I had problems with some staff that the cleaning team took and he got out of his way to sort the problem! Thank you Avi! There is only one thing the house mades need training. In order to clean they removed personal items which was essential to me and that’s not great experience! However the part of that issue here is heaven! Must be visited!!!

I was there on 27-7-2024. The experience was great in all services. We were received by the hotel manager and all his wonderful staff. My kids and I really enjoyed the place it was beautiful and most importantly the cleanliness of the place and the speed of service everything was of the highest standards. I wish I had something positive to say about this place. Three of us visited the buffet breakfast last Sunday, which cost Rs. 750 per person. The buffet was supposed to run until 10 a.m., but we arrived at 8:40 am. and found that they had already run out of food. When we asked for refills, we were told that certain items were completely unavailable. The scrambled eggs, which were part of the package, were cold, so we ordered three omelets. Unfortunately, none of the ingredients we requested were included. We specifically asked for no cheese. The omelet came with cheese. To make matters worse, the white beans were just floating in a bowl of red sauce, and the orange juice was nonexistent. For Rs. 750, I didn’t expect a lavish breakfast, but I certainly expected food that was edible. We are extremely disappointed and will not be recommending this place to anyone.

Themed dinners added a unique charm to our experience, with Christmas Eve being particularly heartwarming. Even though we were far from South Africa, we felt so much love and warmth, making it all the more worthwhile. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Kaveer, who ensured my room was immaculate every day and that I had everything I needed. Mandal, your attentiveness during breakfast and dinner did not go unnoticed — thank you for always taking care of us. And Nish, your dedication to going above and beyond for all guests was truly inspiring. Staying for an extended period allowed me to witness the tremendous effort you and your fantastic team put into organizing the dinner events and creating memorable experiences for your guests. The live band and nostalgic music were the perfect touches that made leaving the island so difficult. Thank you for a truly magical holiday. We can’t wait to return!

First the good: When spoken to, the hotel at least seemed to be trying to find a solution to something. It was also positive that I was allowed to change rooms twice at my own request (due to noise). That's the only reason there are two rating stars instead of one star. Now what needs to be improved: The most serious point I found was the dinner, which was usually served cold, which was really a big disappointment. It was completely unnecessary and inconsiderate to serve the guests the cold buffet. Some of the dishes were elaborately prepared and you actually wanted to look forward to them. But most of the food was cold even at the beginning of the buffet time, which I personally asked different employees (of different ranks) about on different days. Under no circumstances can the hotel claim that it was unaware of the problem. I don't just think that the food being left out cold is an outrage, I also see it as an attempt to persuade guests to pay extra for a meal a la menu. When I was complaining, I was offered the option of making a plate full and then having it warmed up in the kitchen; what I got myself into. The initially cold food was at least lukewarm; but never hot. It really spoiled my appetite, which is why at some point I only ate cold starters there and then went out to eat straight away. None of the employees spoken to there (more than six people over time) even made an attempt to get the buffet warm and keep it warm, even though I made it clear that this was a general problem, not just consisted of a single evening. Given the cold food, it is all the more astonishing that drinks are charged very high prices; for example, 7 euros for a 0.5 liter beer. I therefore definitely do not recommend that anyone interested in traveling book half board, but rather breakfast. But the breakfast was also very disappointing, as you can see in the pictures. The exact same, very limited selection was served consistently for over two weeks. 1 type of sausage, 1 type of cheese, butter. Some of the sausage was so rancid that I wouldn't even have given it to the street dogs to eat. I was forced to shop at the supermarket and bring a bag of my own things with me to the hotel breakfast so that I could at least eat normally and have a bit more variety. In the bathrooms (I saw three different ones) there is always mold-like discoloration somewhere in the tiles. Unfortunately, the rooms weren't always swept and cleaned well, so that on some days I had black feet from walking barefoot in my room. Overall, the stay at Aanari Hotel could be much nicer if the staff put more effort into providing hot food at the evening buffet, breakfast selection and room cleanliness.
