3 star hotel at best. Room and bathroom is outdated, although clean enough. Would not recommend. The staff at the main pool bar are really not friendly or helpful at all. There’s one lady with a mask who is really plain rude, to say the least. In the restaurant where lunch is served, there was one lady who really went out of her way and was super friendly and helpful. Unfortunately I didn’t get her name. If you have to go there, don’t go full board as that’s throwing money away. The most tasteless food ever. Just outside of the hotel in the main road, there are umpteen different restaurants and they are top quality. Street food markets are everywhere and we regularly had dessert in the form of a fresh waffle cone with ice cream and banana in a cup, so you stay clean. Delicious.

We have just come home after a lovely stay here. Our room was beautiful and quiet. Even though this is a big hotel, it offered very a relaxing environment and we didn’t really ever notice too many people. It was a great escape from the bustling beach area! All 3 pools were clean and inviting. I used the room laundry service which was very prompt. The staff are helpful and it is in a great location! Oh and a good breakfast!!

A disappointing experience at Kata Palm Resort. The reception staff was unfriendly, especially the late shift – no professionalism or friendliness. Upon our arrival, we were rushed so much that after a 12-hour flight, we had to carry our luggage ourselves without any help. We got a room that smelled old and musty, the bathroom was awful, and the hygiene was inadequate. The towels were also old and terrible. We only had breakfast at the hotel – and it was a complete disaster. During the 9 days we stayed here, the bread was never fresh, and the cold cuts, cheese, and cakes were left out from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM without any cooling or refrigeration. One evening, we decided to have dinner at the hotel. The chicken was so tough that it was impossible to cut or chew. For dessert, we ordered pancakes and received the same ones that had been made for breakfast – fresh in the morning, stale by the evening. The pool was nice, but not very clean. Additionally, we asked at the reception for a late check-out, and they told us it wasn’t possible because new guests were arriving. But suddenly, they said we could do it if we paid 300 Baht per hour. What a scam! Another huge disappointment: The reception never informed us about our scheduled meeting with the travel representative. Only a few days after our arrival, we received a letter saying that we had missed the appointment – even though nobody ever told us about it! Overall: The reception – especially the late shift – was terrible, no hygiene, no professionalism. The only good thing was the hotel’s location – everything was nearby.

The hotel is a 9 minute walk to the beach, close to the night market and many restaurants, the 7/11, and massage places. The pools looked nice, but we are beach people and that is where we went. We ate at the breakfast buffet 3 times. My wife and I always chose the Thai cuisine which we found tasty and hot , not cold. Absolutely enjoyed it. We have stayed in Chiang Mai and Bangkok and those buffets were cold. The young ladies at reception, the bell hops, and cleaning ladies were all very polite and friendly. One day when I forgot my key in the room, the older ladies at the front desk were not so cordial and the older lady who let us into the room was the rudist person we have dealt with in Thailand. Never wrecked my day, but i think she needs to change jobs. Our room did not over look the pools, but we were very happy. It was clean and modern. I would return to stay at this hotel

We stayed for a week and had an amazing time. From check in to check out everything was awesome. Thai people are so nice and friendly, the staff were the nicest people ever. We stayed in the Blue building. The room was great size with a huge comfy bed (mattress is firm!!). It had a balcony, an air conditioner, a great bathroom, tea, coffee and water replenished daily for free and a mini bar / fridge. We also used the room service, food was great. Breakfast is good, plenty of options and is served from 6:30. There are 3 pools with plenty of sun chairs. There are also bars and a restaurant on site for lunch. There is a desk at reception with a very helpful and nice lady selling excursions. We went on 3 separate ones, all were awesome. Free parking on site too if you have a car. On a busy street with plenty of restaurants and bars. The sea is a 5 min walk away! We would stay here anytime again and had a wonderful time!

The hotel is lovely and clean, with a good breakfast selection, though it could be even better. I know cheese is rare, but having some options would have been nice. Small additions like chocolate sauce, jam, or peanut butter for pancakes would also be great. While there are plenty of "food" choices, the "breakfast" selection could be a bit more varied, The location is excellent, very close to the beach, lively but not overly crowded. The only downside is that since the hotel is on a hill, many heavy cars and motorbikes struggle to climb it, creating quite a bit of noise, which can be a little disruptive. Fortunately, our room was at the very top, so we didn’t hear much, but near the pool, the noise was noticeable. Guests staying in lower rooms might find it bothersome. Another highlight of our stay was the stunning view from our room. We got a big room with ocean view, with very comfy beds (1 XL king, and one twin), and waking up to the ocean stretching out before you was breathtaking ✨️ The rooms are very clean, and the service is excellent. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They also provide a shuttle from the lobby to the higher rooms, which is great since the incline is quite steep. You can request a ride at any time, whether heading up or back down to the lobby/breakfast area. Also the pool bar and hotel restaurants are very nice, though quite pricey :D Overall, it’s a clean and comfortable option with good service. If you can, definitely go for the sea-view room and go to beach as often as you can!

Great hotel, fabulous location being right in the town. Staff were great, very helpful. Breakfast not the greatest but there will be something for everyone. No sid von in the restaurant, only fans. The steps! Oh my goodness, do not book here if you have had joint replacements or arthritis etc. there is a shuttle to and from rooms but it doesn’t take you right to your room, you still need to negotiate many steps particularly coming back to the hotel and just getting to reception to get the shuttle. Of course the trade off are the beautiful views from the sea view rooms which are very well appointed. The whole place is very clean.

Lovely hotel, the rooms were clean and in good working order. Hotel staff are among the nicest we've seen in Thailand and go out of their way to help. Very friendly. The pool bar staff ensure a drink is always available, especially at happy hour, where some great cocktails can be enjoyed along with beers wines and regular spirits. A comprehensive food menu also available at the pool or room via phone or app, staff. A short walk to all amenities and between the two main beaches in Kata. Located up and on a short hill. Requires a bit off leg work to and from hotel and rooms. The pool was well maintained and we never struggled for a sun lounger. One of the few hotels that doesn't have them reserved with towels from 6am. A good size pool with a 1.8m depth at one end. And a jacuzzi jet area at the other. A smaller kids paddling pool for the small ones.

Amazing experience at Orchidacea Resort! From the very first moment, we received a warm welcome. The food, especially the breakfast, was delicious and varied—there was plenty of choice for both us and the children. The rooms were cleaned daily, and the location is simply perfect: within five minutes, you’re on a beautiful beach, surrounded by cozy restaurants. Highly recommended!

Great Staff they make your stay enjoyable. Rooms are big! A sofa would have been nice in the room. Sea view rooms are a hike so you will get fit haha. There is a shuttle service that can take you up the hill. Breakfast was awesome, very tasty and Thai cuisine. Access from the airport via bus get off at kata palm and then 10 min walk to the hotel. Overall I recommend.

The hotel is wonderfully placed and everything that you need is pretty much within walking range. Close to the beach as well. What really makes a huge difference is the staff. I have never seen anything like it in any hotel, no matter how many stars. They put a lot of 5 stars hotels to shame. Everyone seems to genuinely want to make you comfortable and what a great job they are doing!!!

The pools were great, and the slide was really fun for adults as well as kids. The location is great too, and the hotel grounds are a peaceful oasis to return to after the hustle and bustle of Kata beach and the night market. The staff were sooo helpful, and really made the stay exceptional.

The staff is the heart of this hotel, they are all incredibly friendly and helpful and speaking good english! The location is very good, you can reach the beach easily through the back door which has secured access. I enjoyed the pool area. Improvements that could be made : - new sunbeds, they are all pretty damaged - chocolate dip (such as Nutella) in the breakfast - slices of cheese / chicken / ham in the breakfast

We stayed in a 2-bedroom room with our 3 kids (ages 5, 8, and 10) and we absolutely loved it. We chose the hotel mainly because of its location, and it turned out to be perfect. It's located next to the Kata walking street, with a 7/11 store right in front of the hotel, plenty of shops, pharmacies, massage parlors, and good restaurants. It's just a 5-minute walk from the beach. Additionally, there's a convenient laundry service next to the hotel that delivers clothes when they're ready. The hotel is ideal for kids, as it has 3 pools: one shallow pool for the little ones with a slide and some fountains, another slightly deeper pool with a larger slide, a volleyball net, and a climbing wall, and one for adults, which is not too deep. Even though the hotel is not directly on the beach, there's a back door that provides easy access to the beach within a 5-minute walk, along with a spot to rinse off the sand when you return. The breakfast was fantastic, with a wide variety of options, not too crowded, and very tasty. There's also a section for the kids with a lower shelf where they can help themselves to food. There are also activities for children. Every evening, there's a different movie showing, and you can buy popcorn, marshmallows, corn, and more (50 baht each). The rooms were excellent with comfortable beds, a clean and spacious shower, and a balcony with plenty of hangers to dry swimming suits and clothes. The service was excellent, and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The place is very well maintained, and you can see that they frequently check and fix the hotel facilities. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at OZO Hotel! Our room was spotless, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious, offering a great variety of both local and international dishes. The hotel's location is excellent—just a short 5-minute walk to the beautiful Kata Beach, which made our trip even more enjoyable. One of the small yet memorable highlights of our stay was the kind and cheerful gardener who greeted us with a warm smile and a “good morning” every day as we headed to breakfast. It was a simple gesture, but it truly added a special touch to our mornings. The only downside was that, despite paying €2000 for 6 nights, our room did not have a balcony. For a hotel in this price range, we expected this amenity to be included. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend OZO Hotel for its cleanliness, excellent location, and friendly atmosphere!

Great hotel in a great location room was very well looked after every day with fresh bottled water replaced daily. I had a pool access room that was very convenient for sitting at the pool. Pool area was very nice and relaxing with a bar for snacks and drinks. Served food and drinks daily by wut Aoy who was very helpful and always service with a big smile nothing was to much bother. Will definitely be returning again.

Had a wonderful stay here! Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, they really can’t do enough for you. The pool area is lovely and relaxing, with a great pool bar for drinks and food. Location is great, close to all the main attractions. The suite we had was spotless. There were 2 massive double bedrooms, both with spacious en-suite and a lovely kitchen / diner and lounge area. There was a huge balcony running across the whole suite, it was fantastic. The restaurant offered a great selection of tasty food. It’s a shame we couldn’t stay longer, it was like having your own apartment. Highly recommend!

I had a fantastic stay at Centara Kata Resort Phuket! The entire crew was welcoming and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. Joy and Aay were incredibly nice and helpful, going above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The hotel itself was beautiful, with stunning pools that were perfect for relaxing. The location was also ideal—right in the center, close to shops and just a short walk to the beach. I highly recommend staying here and would definitely return!

Nothing was too much trouble. 3 swimming pools so you be quiet or in the mix. Location is great and loads of shops close by. The only thing I didn't like was leaving.....see you next time...

Kids loved the relaxed atmosphere, the slide and pool attractions😊 Young kids club lady was very lovely to our children, waiter Kay always chatting and making is laugh at breakfast, waitress Aoy was also exceptional😊 if were in Phuket we will definitely be back!

We enjoyed the location in terms of the distances to the kata strip, shops and beach. It’s a bit more out of the way and peaceful. However the hill is definitely a challenge to walk up which we only did once on your last day, but saw it as an opportunity for fitness!! The staff always greeted us without fail and were so lovely. Had welcome drinks upon arrival. And checking in and out were super quick. We had a rental car so the security staff always assisted us with parking without fail, they would literally come from the stop of the hill when they saw us entering the car park just to assist us with parking. And they would help us leave the hotel due to the blind spot coming out.

I had an amazing 4-night stay at SIS Kata Hotel. After a long flight, the warm welcome truly surprised me—staff swiftly took our suitcases and handed us refreshing cocktails. They prepared a wonderful room for us with a special honeymoon gift, making our arrival extra memorable. Throughout our stay, every staff member was incredibly kind and attentive. The hotel itself is beautifully designed. The pool area exceeded my expectations—the view is even better than in the photos, and I absolutely loved spending time there. Breakfast was professionally prepared and delicious, and the gym was excellent as well. There were a couple of minor drawbacks, though. Our room was located in the rear part of the hotel, making access somewhat unusual, and each morning a bird greeted us at sunrise. Despite these small issues, my overall experience was outstanding. I highly recommend SIS Kata Hotel for anyone looking for a great stay in Kata!

The staff are the most amazing, friendly, polite, respectful people I have ever encountered in a hotel, anywhere in the world. The rooms extremely comfortable and clean. The food in the restaurant excellent and evening meals on the top deck by the pool were magical. Unfortunately there is a very busy road outside and some noise can be heard, but not excessive.

The hotel was clean, the beds were extremely comfortable, and the amenities were excellent. Its location was also ideal, offering easy access to nearby attractions. The breakfast was of good quality with a wide selection, though I found it to be quite expensive at 599 baht (£14 per person), especially when you can enjoy a similar meal locally for around 200 baht (£4.50 per person). The lunch offerings were also disappointing in both quality and price compared to local alternatives. There were a few aspects that could be improved. First, there were no wardrobes or cupboards in the room to store clothing, so we had to live out of suitcases for our 11-day stay, which was a bit inconvenient. Second, the bar staff by the pool and drinks area were noticeably unfriendly. Despite tipping them, they often seemed uninterested and gave the impression they didn't want to be there. Additionally, the drink prices were on the higher side. Another point to consider is the lack of sunbeds at the upper pool. During our entire stay, we never saw anyone using the second pool, so it seems there could be more sunbeds there to accommodate guests. On a positive note, the reception staff and cleaners were very welcoming and helpful. The cleaners offered fresh sheets and clean beach and bathroom towels daily. Despite the areas that could be improved, I would definitely recommend this hotel and would return in the future. Overall, l've given it a 4/5 rating.
