Oh My GOD.
There is no way one would not fall in love with this resort. It's beautiful, the service is great, the staff's wonderful, the location is perfect especially for families. Close to the Kata Beach - not very close, but it's walkable if you like to walk.
Attaching pictures as proof of what a wonderful resort they've created and maintained. Months post our trip, we still recall how wonderful this was. The area is quite quiet, too, if that's your vibe then I highly highly recommend staying here.
Also, we're pure vegetarians, it was hard to find food here, and we'd already paid for our buffet breakfasts. We managed to make fresh fruits, cereal, pancakes & waffles our breakfast every day (for 4 days). If you are a pure vegetarian, try finding some place to eat at or carry sufficient of your own, otherwise Phuket was tough to manage in terms of food.

We spent 2 weeks at The Centara Kata Beach hotel at the end of January 2025. We had a deluxe twin room close to the adult pool. The room was very good and serviced daily by the maid. The draw back was the lack of main lighting making it a dark room at night. I would put up a sign saying Adult Pool or quiet pool. Often parents brought children who jumped into the pool throwing balls around! These rooms are mostly for older couples who enjoy quiet reading times. There are 2 very large pools with pool bars and water sports for families further away. The main bonus of this hotel is the staff. Without exception they are so helpful always having smiles on their faces! For older less able people they provide a buggy to take you to your rooms. The man driver is amazing, he couldnt do enough for us. I had my son on crutches, they provided a wheelchair for his use! Joy kla Aoy and her staff in the restaurant are also so helpful. We found the distance from the beach further than expected but a mini bus is available 10- 4pm. Finally the reception staff greet you on arrival with smiles, courtesy and are so amenable. A brilliant stay overall.

Had a fantastic time here with my family. The service is amazing, from breakfast to dinner. The pool bars are well stocked and the staff are always on hand. Wut served us well in the quieter pool whist the staff at the main bar were equally as hospitable. A great holiday!! Decor a little tired.. everything else 10/10. Thank you Centara

Not a luxurious hotel as claimed. Old and out of dated hotel, need renovation.
Book a Family Room Pool Access and got complimentary upgrade to a Two-Bedroom Family Suite. Not so sure if the upgrade is good as room was located on the ground floor, right next to the restaurant, so there is a NO VIEW ROOM. (Room 5101).
Room needs a renovation as room itself and furniture and kitchen are so old. Microwave is so old and its color turn to yellow. Kitchenware as well as glasses are not clean. Lights are very dimmed and has yellow toned light bulbs. Bathroom floor was clogged, not drained properly. Could not wash my hair nor take a shower too long; otherwise, the floor would be flooded.
Room looks like as advertised but not as bright and new as in the picture.
Location is good as it is close to markets, restaurants and stores.
Breakfast has a variety but Thai food tasted so bad.

Stayed for 10 nights the rooms were really great but it was the staff that made it so special, such genuine and kind people. Restaurant staff were especially amazing special shout out too Aoy, Mark, Coach, Joy and Ohm for my making my stay here at Centara Kata Resort truly worth it.
Only thing I hope they do is consider keeping the pool open a little later.
I absolutely recommend staying at this resort and could definitely see myself staying here again in the future 😁.
