We arrived around 6am and they checked us in right away thank you so much for not making us wait until check in time! We had a great time and a lovely experience one of the best resorts I have stayed in! The staff are very professional and kind, the breakfast buffet was excellent! The dinner buffet had a lovely variety very delicious food. We loved the Maldivian night at the dinner buffet it was the best food we ever had! Thank you so much for making our stay wonderful we really appreciate it. My kids loved the kids club and the different actives they had. Staff here are AMAZING in every single way. They management also offered us a late check out with no extra charge because our flight was late in the evening. The location of the resort is very convenient for a family with kids. Thank you again and we will be coming back soon! It was my daughter’s 8th birthday treat and they decorated the room with a birthday note on the bed and a very tasty chocolate cake free of charge! She was very happy!

Anantara Dhigu is probably the most luxurious hotel in the world.
Superbly located for the best views in the Maldives. We had an over-sea villa which was over 1000 ft.² and the bathroom is big enough to be your own apartment. It had direct access to the sea and lots of glass windows so you could always see the sea. Lots of fish outside your room which was cool.
We had a private host named Kadir Who went above and beyond to meet our needs. Even arranged for continuous buggy trips for my wife as well as an out of hours boat transfer from the sister island Veli.
Was always on hand to deal with any issue or queries, and welcomed the challenge.
You’re able to shuttle between the two islands in around 120 seconds via boat transfer that runs continuously through throughout the day from 7 am to 11 pm. The longest we waited for a boat was two minutes - you can see the boat dropping and picking up people between the islands as they are that close.
Dhigu has the better views, but Veli has the better atmosphere given it’s an adults only island. Btw you get access to both islands, no matter which island you are staying on.
The staff are absolutely out of this world. You get a greeting from every staff member that you come across along the island whether that be while you’re riding your bicycle or just walking to a restaurant. They go over and above in every way possible to make sure that you’re having the best possible stay and tick all the boxes for all the little things that you would want at a hotel. For example flip flops were complimentary (as many as needed), and they even kept the bar open a little later for me since I wanted to watch the football.
There are a number of restaurants on site which are all amazing, the chefs and staff go out of their way to make everything work for you, be that tailored dishes.
Couple of not so good points, booked to go parasailing only to be told that the boat had technical issues on the day that we were attending. We then booked on to the Dolphin cruise instead on our final day based on the fact that we weren’t going parasailing and there were no dolphins. Both out of the hotels really but a bummer nonetheless.
Big shout out to some others too, many to name Bokey, Karim, Rahul, Subodh, Tej, Priyanth, Dilan, Naushid (who located my lost clothing) and many many more.

Overall it was a good experience, regrettably I had an issue (found a dead rat in my bathroom) that compromised the whole vacation.
PROS
1. Staff is amazing, very kind people always ready to help. Special mention to our butler Maazin.
2. The complex is really nice surrounded by nature.
3. Huge offer of sport and water activities.
CONS
1. Soundproofing of rooms is non existent, even if you close windows and doors you are waken up in the middle of the night by the calls of the birds.
2. Food and Beverage services are really average. Medium quality food and long waiting time. Only restaurant worth a visit is Sea Fire and Salt.
3. The surrounding panorama from the island is not wonderful, regrettably you can see in front of you some islands with awful buildings.
Regrettably I have to mention that I had an awful experience finding a dead rat in my bathroom. Notwithstanding I highlighted the management that this event caused a lot of panic in my young kids, their response was just reimbursing an amount equal to less than 5% of my stay. As I said to the management, I don’t think that this behaviour was in line with Anantara standards tough I am not the kind of guy who use to make complains in order to have some benefits.

Absolutely loved this resort. The service was top notch. They catered to special requests for meals. And to any requests we had.
The spa experience was incredible. I had The best massage of my life by C-ring. Will highly recommend her.
The nurse shark diving was an electrifying experience. I Was both mesmerised and terrified at the same time. However the team was so accommodating and comforting. They were with us throughout the snorkeling and very professional.
Will definitely recommend and return in the future.

Anantara Dhigu has become one of my favorite resorts in the Maldives. Our recent stay was exceptional! Starting with a super smooth early check-in. Despite arriving on a red-eye flight(5am), we were greeted with three ready villas(at 6:30am!), allowing us to rest and unpack before exploring the island. No hotel ever gave us an early check in like this before and we are so thankful.
The customer service at Dhigu was outstanding. Every staff member, from the receptionists, to the housekeeping team, to the restaurants staff, buggy drivers, kids club team, chefs, went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. The island itself is easy to navigate and conveniently located just 30 minutes from Male Airport.
The rooms I believe are newly renovated, they are lovely and super up to date. Very clean and the bathroom views are out of the world!
Our kids had a blast at the kids' club, thanks to the amazing staff, Jamie and her colleague. With a variety of activities throughout the day, there was something for everyone. The kids absolutely loved each and every activity provided at the kids club, and the team there were happy to watch the kids while we enjoyed the hotels facilities.
The buffet at Fushi Cafe was excellent, offering a diverse range of delicious dishes. And the staff at Aqua Bar were incredibly friendly and attentive.
We stayed in a sunrise overwater villa, which was perfect for enjoying the crystal-clear lagoon. The water level was ideal for walking around and swimming, even for our young children. They would play on the shore while we sat and relaxed in our villa watching them as the water was shallow.
One of the best features was the Anantara app, which made it incredibly easy to request services like buggy rides, housekeeping, and room service. It's a feature I wish more hotels would adopt. Everything is at your fingertip through this app! Your personal buttler that you can keep in your pockets at all times!
In short, our stay at Anantara Dhigu was unforgettable. The beautiful surroundings, excellent service, and family-friendly atmosphere made it a truly magical experience. We can't wait to return!
