Can’t fault it, we’ve had a great time and have been looked after at every stage. We had been torn between a larger resort closer to Male and the airport versus a bit further, more remote resort; 100 times out of 100, I would pick this place. If anything, the seaplane added to the adventure - I loved it. Accommodation (we had an oversea villa) was glorious, very comfortable and spacious. Basics like hot drinking water, towels, heating/air con were faultless, we even had fast WiFi (100+ mbps). The restaurants all served great food (truly, delicious) which had enough variety for a week (and longer, certainly). There were enough facilities to keep us occupied but not so many that it felt too commercial or forced. We came to relax and spend family time, this was perfect. What made the experience all the better was the staff; they struck the right blend of helpful and friendly without being in-your-face or over-the-top. Everyone from the bar or waiting staff, kids club, receptionists, chefs, cleaners, maintenance were friendly and offered help whenever they thought we might need it and they treated my son (5 and headstrong) like a prince. I strongly recommend this place, you will not be disappointed.

My husband and I selected the deluxe in ocean villa to stay for 4 nights. The place was amazing, beyond words can describe. All staffs were exceptional and I would like to give a special mention to Shibin, Sheihan, Ahmed, Sudish who all gave top tier service which contributed to a perfect overall experience. I would give 4 stars for the location as it’s a 45 minute journey by seaplane, costing about 500 dollars per pax. It can be expensive for some people, but the transition was smooth and a lounge access with refreshment was provided as well which made the boarding process better.

Recently i have visited many resorts in Maldives and i can say that so far this is one of the best all round. Beautiful natural beach. Amazing and super clean rooms. Staff are extremely friendly and attentive. Food was great. So many choices of food. We stayed in both infinity pool beach villa and last night in ocean villa which was even more amazing. So peaceful. Everything is maintained so well and the rooms are super spacious. We loved it 😍😍

Staff name "Laila" she is excellent in giving us information, food and service. I enjoy every moment. I went for snorkeling everyday, sunset cruise and see dolphins then night fishing.

Angsana Velavaru – The Overall Resort Angsana Velavaru is an island we’ll never forget. From the moment we landed we felt like we’d stepped into paradise, but it was the people who made it feel like home. The island is beautiful, yes, but it’s the laughter, the little conversations, the kindness in every gesture that stays with you. We’ve been lucky to travel quite a bit, yet this place managed to combine everything we love about staying with locals and everything you hope for in luxury. Not once in two weeks were we bored, restless, or ready to leave – and that says it all. Some days we were busy with aquagym, bird feeding, reef cleaning, karaoke or snorkelling. Other days we just floated in the pool, watching the hammocks claim their next Instagram victim. The balance was perfect. The staff are not only brilliant at their jobs but talented far beyond them – photographers, athletes, performers, artists. Get to know them, and you’ll discover a whole world behind every smile. Special thanks: To all of the Angsana team for welcoming us like family. Sumith – you’re the star of the island, aquagym legend and multitasker extraordinaire. Jan – thank you for your warmth and constant kindness, you made us feel instantly at home. Kaani Restaurant Eating at Kaani was one of the highlights of our stay. Every night felt like a journey to a different corner of the world – Italian one evening, Maldivian the next, India after that. It was never repetitive, always fresh, always full of love and care. The Maldivian and Indian dishes especially will stay with us forever – fragrant curries, reef fish grilled to perfection, flavours that wrapped around you like a hug. And then there’s Chef Kuong, whose award-winning skill shines through in every bite. It’s one thing to eat well on holiday, but quite another to sit at dinner every night and think: this is unforgettable. Special thanks: Chefs Malith, Mansoor, Rahim, Prasong and Maumun – thank you for pouring your hearts into every dish. Chef Kuong – huge congratulations again on your award, your food made our holiday. Appa, Imthi, Hussain, Terow, Laila, Ijlal, and Fayaaz – you’re the best waiters anyone could ask for. You remembered our quirks, made us laugh, and turned every meal into something special. Khuredi Bar Khuredi quickly became our second living room. Whether it was a cheeky snack, a lazy lunch, or a late-night drink, it always felt relaxed and fun. The à la carte menu was a dream – the fish tacos, calamari, and anything from the Indian section (discovered far too late!) were unbeatable. But what made it even better were the people. Always smiling, always up for a laugh, never making anything feel like a fuss. They took care of us in that effortless way that makes you feel both spoiled and at ease. Special thanks: Litu, Zawho, Shamrah and Sunil – thank you for the laughs, for looking after us so well, and for making every visit to the bar feel like catching up with friends. The Dive Centre The dive centre crew are simply the best. We joined snorkelling trips almost daily and two whale shark excursions – each time we came back grinning like kids. They taught us so much about the reef and its creatures, and made every outing feel like an adventure shared with friends. We saw manta rays, turtles, eagle rays, nurse sharks, and fish in every colour imaginable. But more than that, we shared stories, jokes, and a lot of boat-ride giggles. By the end of two weeks, we didn’t just feel like guests, but like part of the team. Special thanks: Robata – thank you for your patience and encouragement. Both Ahmeds – for your humour and knowledge, always making us feel safe. Fazeel – for your kindness and care. Ageel – thank you for protecting the turtles (and us!), and for sharing your passion so openly.
