We stayed for 6 nights at the ocean villas part of the resort. To start with, this is our 10th visit to the Maldives and this is our 8th resort to try. Positives: - The details of the deluxe in ocean infinity pool villa is very nice and the double story villa gives an amazing view of the ocean and more amenities to enjoy. - Food was very good across all outlets and room service as well. - Sea life is amazing, reef is everywhere and you could easily interact with sea life in a very amazing way. - Snorkeling is is just amazing - SPA was okay Negatives: I can summarize our experience in three areas: privacy, transportation and quality of service. - Pools across all water villas are not private at all. From your pool you could literally see all pools around you, however this remains to be subjective from a person to another. - Staying at the ocean villas means you can only go to the main resort by ferry boat. Which is scheduled (see the picture below). It is exactly like you’re are moving via public transport system from a resort to another. Even the timing are not scheduled with constant gaps, for example sometimes the next ferry could be after 30 minutes, 45, 60, or even one hour and 45 minutes. Simply they dictate your timing and you have to adjust your activities to fit their schedule rather than the opposite. I had a big talk with the management on my second day and Mr. Amjad the front desk manager was kind enough to instruct his team for flexibility with us. However this remained to be a big concern for most of the guests we interacted with. - Housekeeping is very poor, it is normal to be missed or delayed in the cleaning. Our first day lunch was on the second floor terrace for two days and the housekeeping staff did not clear it, apparently he did not bother himself to check and housekeeping the second floor - The management is running the property under extreme cost efficiency manner where you as guest clearly feel it. - As a welcome gift in our room, we had a plate of fruit which had one small piece of orange and an apple even without cutleries (see picture below). - Although we are paying almost $ 1,500 per night (half board), once we entered the villa they told us we are allowed to consume two coffee capsules per day (and it is mentioned on the mini bar menu as well) otherwise you will be charged. - Although we were on a half board plan (breakfast and dinner), we had to pay a compulsory $320 per person for the new year night gala dinner which was hilarious. - On the gala dinner, they made the setup on the beach without proper forecasting the weather. We had a very heavy rain, food was watery and the management did not even have a plan B. Simply they have limited number of tables and all tables were moved to the beach. Guests themselves were lifting tables to go inside the main restaurant to get shelter from rain. - Following morning on the breakfast same story, most tables are outside and rain started and guests had to do the self service of moving tables inside. - Our do not disturb sign was not working, although I informed the receptionist and the housekeeper, but did not fix. We were awaken twice early morning in two different days because the housekeeper can’t figure out if we are in the room or not so he rang the doorbell few times. So I had to go old school and write on a piece of paper do not disturb and really worked out. Having visited Maldives 10 times and experienced 8 different five stars resorts, I can easily say our experience was very bad. The way the resort is managed, prioritizes cost savings over guests experience and quality of service provided. Thus, they try to dictate your behavior to fit their budget. My conclusion, this resort fit people who are budget conscious and would like to stay in a 5 star resort or first timer visitors to the Maldives but certainly not convince seekers as they have to work really hard to upgrade services to be able to provide personalized services like other five stars resorts like Constance Halaveli, Ozen Reserve Bolifushi, Finolhu or Coco Bodo Hithi.

I have been here for 5D4N and 2N at the Ocean Villa and 2N at Land which both room that I stay was really awesome. Highly recommended. The only think I did not give full star which is the services. I believe they short of hand of staff and sometimes waited too long for respond. Slightly share my experience here which I engaged for the sunset cruise to see dolphin. Unfortunately, searched for couple of hours still not getting any dolphins. The best and lucky thinga happen on the next day which I engaged with whale shark trip where we on the way to whale shark we saw a bunch of dolphins around. The crew all was very supportive just bring us to see the dolphins (at last I seen). Hope to come back again for my holiday and really enjoy my holiday.

I stayed in the Ocean Villa Pool, room 318. Areas for improvement: While the overall experience was positive, I believe there are some areas that need attention to fully meet 5-star standards. The property would benefit from some renovation. The boat service to the main island, as mentioned in previous reviews, is inconvenient. Being on holiday, it’s frustrating to constantly check the clock—missing a boat means waiting another hour. Increasing the frequency to every 30 minutes would significantly enhance guest convenience. The food, while decent, lacked flavour and creativity. Additionally, the cooking of some dishes was inconsistent—on several occasions, items like potatoes were undercooked, some are well cooked some completely raw. There was very little variety of dishes, what you had for dinner would be reincarnated for lunch the next day. At the buffet restaurant Kani on the main island, I found the staff to be inattentive and less professional when the manager was not present. On multiple occasions, I waited over 45 minutes just to receive a simple drink of sparkling water. These aspects could be improved to elevate the guest experience. Positive highlights: My dining experience at the Azzurro restaurant was outstanding. The team there was consistently attentive, efficient, and highly professional, making every meal and breakfast a true delight. I would like to extend a special thanks to LAILA for her exceptional service. She was kind, always attentive to guests’ needs, professional, hardworking, cheerful, and consistently excellent throughout our stay. Her dedication brought us joy every day, and I strongly believe she deserves recognition for her efforts. Additionally, I thoroughly enjoyed the snorkelling experience. The staff were incredibly kind and ensured we felt safe and cared for throughout the adventure. It was truly memorable, and I deeply appreciated their effort. The view from the Ocean Pool was absolutely breathtaking, and the atoll itself is stunning. It truly adds to the overall charm of the resort and makes the experience unforgettable. The cleanliness of the resort was impeccable, the WiFi worked flawlessly, and the pool was pristine, which added to the comfort of our stay. Summary: Despite some areas for improvement, we had a pleasant stay overall. The organisation of the resort is excellent, and the attention to detail in many areas did not go unnoticed. With some enhancements, this could be a truly exceptional experience for future guests

Having been to Maldives several times, but only the first time as a couple, I couldn't have been happier with what Angsana Velavaru and its team offered us in terms of location, quality, activities and overall experience. Great communication right from the start, followed by excellent organisation for our stay, and, thereafter, by fantastic experience at the island. We have stayed at the infinity pool villa at the sunset side - newly renovated, spacious, thoughtful design are just a few things to mention. I would choose these villas again any time of the day over ocean villas. A bit of an issue with soundproofing, maybe, but then, how much time do you spend inside when you are in paradise? The local reef was just around the corner, and with a number of free intro activities, we could snorkel and kayak to explore. Drinks and beverage menu was extensive and impressive. Bar and restaurant service was kind and attentive. Food was better than expected for the islands, with themed nights and live stations. Yes, maybe we could see more seafood or local flavours, but it was still very very good overall. Unfortunately, Azzurro restaurant didn't quite manage to deliver based on all the hoopla surrounding it, but it was still nice to visit for lunch/drinks. Seafood pizza with cheese, however, may bring a heartattack to some hard-core Italians :) Finally, reception and housekeeping team did wonders in terms of personalised service and doing that extra step to make things special. Our big big thanks to Alina, Sophie, Ijlal, Ajija and Trimal who brought us smiles every single day. We will certainly miss you!
