We had a terrific time at Bali Dynasty. We found the family room a bit tight with three older kids. We would book two rooms if we came again. The resort feels very safe and the staff are so lovely and accommodating. The pools are busy but beautiful and the environment is lovely. We would have preferred to be closer to town but having said that the taxis were cheap.

Just spent 5 amazing days at this resort and it exceeded my expectations. Due to unrelated issues we had little option but to have some of our holiday here and I wasn't sold at first but this resort is perfect for families and in particular young children.
The staff are outstanding - they are attentive, understanding of your needs and genuinely friendly. The service at meal times is great,
The pool staff go to great lengths to ensure everyone can have equal enjoyment of the pools, making sure that older teenagers aren't monopolising a space, or littler ones are safe with a family member to supervise them. Children can play and have fun.
The attention to details are great - linen table clothes and napkins over paper napkins, splitting the resort among the dining locations for breakfast means not everyone is piling into the same location at the same time.
There is strictly no smoking around the communal areas - so you aren't trying to enjoy your breakfast or lying by the pool while smelling smoke.
The rooms are a little tired, but the room I was in was still clean and our aircon worked fine. (how much time are you really spending in a hotel room while on holiday?)
The kids club was perfect, lots for the children to do and a couple of evenings a week they did a movie night. Children also got to eat for free or half price on the themed buffet evenings (which considering how little they eat was great value)
The room we was in was ground level and walked out to the pool, all and any noise was all done with by 10pm and it was so quiet after that time.
Its a location I definitely return to and recommend.

This is generally a good, family resort. Gardens were immaculate , the pool was nice and even had an an adult pool area to escape the kids. The kids could also escape their parents in the gaming room (60,000 rupiah for two hours) Good location and the hotel food/ drinks were of good quality at a reasonable price.
I was however, disappointed at the outright discrimination shown to men at the breakfast restaurant. I was informed men cannot wear singlets. I did notice several women wearing singlets (and more revealing clothing) and was advised it was permitted for women. Get with the times Dynasty! This is totally unacceptable!

I stayed in an interconnecting room at The Dynasty with my husband, two kids, mum and MIL. The rooms were nice, not super new but still nice. It was a great resort for the kids. They loved the kids pool area and the big slide the resort had. The kids club has been recently refurbished so it was really nice and clean. The staff around the hotel were really lovely too. The hotel breakfast was good, but we ventured out most mornings to try different cafe's around Kuta.
The Day Spa amenities were great as well. They also have ladies come around the pool area offering 30 minute foot massages for AUD$12. The location was good. You can walk along the main street for markets, food and bars. Overall I would recommend this resort if you're staying with kids or friends.

This is the worst place I’ve ever stayed in Bali and I lived here for 10 years and stayed all over the island and beyond. The place is very old and trashy. The food is awful. Breakfast is limited and very bad. Nothing nutritious at all. The cheapest food you can get in Bali with the same quality. The pools are dirty and slippery from massage oil that people do on the sticky day beds next to it. A perfect place to get sick. There is always someone talks very loud in the microphone, angle grinder is working, loud music is playing. It’s just not Bali at all. So overwhelming. I was very disappointed especially the reviews were good.
Not sure why people would come to Bali and stay here. Maybe to keep their kids busy running mad on sugar breakfast. Anyways, if you’d like a nice relaxing holiday with your family - don’t stay here.
