This was our second visit to Bali and our fourth stay in a 4* hotel. We spent four nights at Bali Tropic Resort and Spa and had a mixed experience.
The resort has a beautiful beachfront with a lovely garden and plenty of water sports options. The shallow, calm water is ideal for relaxing, making it great for a laid-back beach day.
Unfortunately, the deluxe rooms we booked were underwhelming. The amenities were adequate, with combined bathroom and bedroom space. The toilet had a strong, persistent odor despite a large fan running continuously.
The view from our balcony was disappointing, facing a building just three meters away with ongoing construction. This made our room unbearably noisy from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., preventing any chance of rest.
After requesting a quieter option, we were relocated to different rooms on the opposite side of the building, which improved the noise situation.
It's outrageous surprising the management considered the original rooms suitable for guests on vacation.
Breakfast was decent, with pastries being a highlight, though the coffee fell short. We also tried the chicken satay, fish and chips, breaded chicken, and pizza; the pizzas were average, and the chicken lacked flavor.
Overall, Bali Tropic Resort and Spa feels overpriced compared to other five-star and even some four-star hotels in Bali. For the same rate, there are several better options available nearby. :(

I recently stayed at this property for a few days and, overall, the experience was a mixed bag. The resort itself is nice and cozy, with well-maintained grounds and good amenities. The food served here was quite enjoyable, and I appreciated the variety and quality of the meals. The pool was a highlight, very clean and perfect for relaxing, and most of the staff were friendly and attentive.
One thing also disliked was the beach access, which was average as you can see in pics —not directly beachfront.
Unfortunately, my biggest disappointment was the room. Despite paying a decent amount, the view from the room was underwhelming, opening up to absolutely nothing of interest. I expected at least a partial view, but instead, it felt quite gloomy. I asked at least open view room within same category since I was traveling with a toddler which I was denied despite seeing few empty rooms. I offered to pay extra too. To add to the frustration, the receptionist who checked us in seemed indifferent, almost sadistic in her approach—definitely not the warm welcome I expected.
While the rest of the staff were courteous, the room itself didn't live up to the price I paid, and the lack of a decent view really dampened the overall experience. For these reasons, I’m giving it two stars.

Rooms are good but giving too old vibe.
Services are great, best with their spa promotion and huge discounts for all hotel guests. Private beach and breakfast with the beach view are great, but the foods are average with mostly western food only. Only 2-3 asian theme but not particularly Indonesian or Bali which a minus I think because sometimes you want to try local food when travel. While the hotel design itself already very Bali vibe.
Will come back again for the spa 😉

What a great relaxing holiday, the staff, the food, the location were all excellent. I cannot fault the service, all the staff were friendly and would bend over backwards to assist you. A good variety of food from traditional to themed nights. The entertainment was great and a perfect way end a very enjoyable day. We will be back, thankyou for a great holiday.

Very nice accommodation in Balinese style with many facilities: pool with a bar, 3 restaurants, billiard table, bungalows, private beach with sun loungers. Beautiful garden, regularly maintained.
