It was very nice in the beginning. Really elegant. Could have had more activities etc. Our room was amazing with a pool outside our deck door, a hot tub on our deck. Plus, we had Butler. The only thing, I was maybe 30-45 minutes out the shower when the ceiling fell in it. So, glad I was not injured. Our wait to be moved was about six hrs. I hated the fact that they took so long, that we couldn't get the same accommodations on the ground floor... because we had to be moved to the 5th floor. They had Shrimp Tacos that were to die for everyone that eat spicy wings said, they were good. Other than that their food was not so good. We ordered room service...Steak and Mashed Potatoes (the steak looked boiled) no flavor the Cobb Salad was lacking what makes it a Cobb Salad, wilted onions etc, not fresh at all. We walked over to the World Cafe at the Resort next to us for breakfast and it was a Buffet with many choices. They're food was amazing!!!

Surprisingly, my husband and I did not get the experience we paid for with this resort. We purchased the butler option and we only saw him twice the entire stay. Once at check in and once at checkout. He said he had an emergency and he apologized that the resort did not make us aware or reassign someone to make sure we were taken care of. We went to celebrate our 15 year wedding anniversary, but we did not get any recognition of that. Other rooms had banners on the doors, etc. Yes, we made them aware, and no there was no special treatment or warm welcome for us. We also encountered rudeness when dining, ordering drinks, exchanging large bills( I was shorted and the girl said she assumed I would a tip) and added pressure to tip from other of the employees also. It was so uncomfortable I stopped tipping all together on my last day. After tipping over $200, in addition to all the funds we invested in the stay...I expected a more pleasant experience. I spent the last two days of my stay on the secrets side. Better food, fun, and service!

considering my expectations for this "upscaled" property to an upscale sister property in the Secrets/Hyatt brand, I am measuring comments/thoughts based on what I experienced as a guest of a friend who stayed here before (myself and my wife and our close friends and another couple) and also, now as a patron.
The dining experience and staff here are/were very good: entertainment, despite obvious understaffing, did much to match the aura Breathless would consider itself having in this area. Pool activities, fire, trapeze and fashion shows, after parties in their beautifully curated lobby/dining area are just some of the activities. A sophisticated vibe and a fun loving grown folks atmosphere. A lot to really love. The concierge and reception staff, bellhops are truly inviting. Those I had personal interactions with like Celise were very warm and friendly and accommodating. The restaurant staff at Breathless dining facilities are fantastic, fun, and hardworking. Shout outs to Khydene, Shanae, Teresa, Noble, Shamari, and Melisa just to name a few. All were great though. Vanesia, the dining and rooming manager gets a special shout out, she was A-1. She's great at her job, attentive personable. Per our interaction she took a genuine interest in us, as I know she does with everyone, and made our time there memorable. As per the room, I always have the greatest expectations for it when your at places like Breathless. Great looking modern room, I just have a sharp critical eye for the small details positive and/or negative. Some aspects of the room could've been looked over, fixed, or prepared more stringently given the 3+ hours to check into. Much more can be said, however, this review space may not be the best place to be more long-winded than I've ready been. But, overall, with some more attention to the finer details, this place can absolutely be considered to maintain its top tier level like status as a trendy, upscale, vibrant resort that's worth the stay.

The hotel is good. The service and food is excellent but the view from the room isn't. There are better resorts nearby with better view from their rooms. For example, this is the view from Jr suite with Ocean view. While the other nearby resorts have much better view of the ocean. I would prefer secret St. James instead of Brethless for view. The biggest positive of breathless is their food. Especially the dinner on rooftop was amazing.

Nice resort but not worth the money. I ended up getting an upgrade because my original room was over sold. The upgraded room made it worth it. The property is nice but needs fixes. Best food is room service and the late night jerk chicken man. Communication is poor so do your homework to know what is going on. Cecil the manager is not personable. As a World Hyatt member and paid for Exhale service I was treated as a basic customer. Butler was great but not sure how useful. Entertainment is great and fun. Male bartenders are fun and personable. The ladies have a chip on their shoulders. Get access to Secrets but be careful saw a roach in the Piano Bar. Make your reservations the day you get there. The all inclusive was worth it but Breathless did not have much premium liquor, however Secrets did... I wonder why... hmmmm
