Amazing place with amazing staff. Open bathrooms are fine, occasionally you get mosquitoes but they provide you with mosquitoe coils. Breakfast is nice, not much variety but the food provided is really nice.
But overall the location and facilities are nice.

After reading some of the other negative reviews, I didn’t know what we were in for as we booked the same place our friends were staying but I was pleasantly surprised. Yep, they are older style villas but for what we paid and the central location in Seminyak, I was more than happy to stay and will come stay here again. For those travelers that dont want to go to expensive hotels and want a quiet place to stay please give Desamuda Village a go! We stayed for 15 nights. 2 adults & 2 kids(11 & 8). We booked a 2 bed villa with a private pool with daily buffet breakfast included back in December. Check in was easy and we paid in IDR on our wise card.
A nice walk through the gardens past the 2 pools for guests to use. The villa was clean and the aircon in both rooms and the lounge worked perfectly. Yep there are a few cosmetic things like a missing tile or loose wooden board but it didn’t affect our stay. I LOVED the outdoor bathroom on the ground level and some of the other guests mentioned the mould in the bathroom but ours was clean and the dark coloring on the natural stone is just part of living in a humid climate.
Every morning Wini in the restaurant would great the kids and teach them Balinese greetings and words. The breakfast was fresh and tasty. Nasi/ mie goreng or eggs the way you like them with the typical tea/coffee/juice, toast, cereal, fruit and pastry options as well as 4 different dishes in the Bain-Maries that change daily. Their nasi goreng with fried egg was my fav with the beef bacon and chicken sausages.
During our stay staff were more than helpful when the kids ordered room service or needed extra towels. For the slippery tiles we just laid a towel down and could have used a clothesline to hang up wet clothes and towels to dry. Suena at reception helped interpret a last minute midnight laundry run as we needed a quick turnaround because flew out the next morning. Go see him if you need help translating!

We stayed in the Deluxe Villa, such a nice spacious villa. I really got a nice relaxation vibe and you don't feel boxed in. Staff are friendly and they offer a decent breakfast. Location is great. I will definitely book with them again!

Lovely place to stay, in a very central and quiet location. Absolutely beautiful staff that were very hospitable and welcoming every day. The villa was well equipped with our own water cooler, kitchen utensils and having our own private pool made it extra special and convenient to swim in the privacy of our own space. Only small negative was the TV reception as we only got one or two good channels. Will definitely come back to stay here next time were in Bali

The entire experience was fantastic, but we had to be careful when the floor became wet and slippery, and the shower's water pressure was extremely slow. The property is in poor condition, particularly the walkway and main pool. Maintenance and renovation work is absolutely necessary. Despite this, the staff was extremely friendly and prompt. Even though they are unable to do anything about it, they take responsibility and resolve guests' complaints in a tactful manner. Perhaps they are the reason why people continue to visit there. The staff deserves credit for their efforts.
