I’m still staying at El Faro Hotel in Gran Canaria, but I felt compelled to write this review because I am genuinely amazed by the quality and service here. This hotel has exceeded all my expectations!
From the moment we arrived, the experience has been flawless. The privacy of the hotel is unmatched, creating a serene and exclusive environment. The pool is simply outstanding – beautifully designed and perfect for a relaxing day under the sun.
But the highlight of our stay has been the service. Every department goes above and beyond to ensure your experience is perfect:
• The housekeeping team is exceptional, paying close attention to every little detail to keep the rooms spotless and inviting.
• The breakfast team is incredible – not only is the food of the highest quality, but the staff are so friendly and always greet you with a warm smile, making mornings a delight.
• The pool service is fantastic, with staff happy to bring you a refreshing cocktail whenever you need it.
• And a special shoutout to the reception team! They helped us book an amazing spa day and gave us great recommendations for the best places and activities in the area.
If you’re considering booking a hotel, stop searching – this is the one. At El Faro, you feel truly looked after, surrounded by a luxurious and welcoming atmosphere. It’s a stay you won’t forget!

Excellent service, location, amenities and value for money. We enjoyed every single moment of our stay, thanks to the accommodating staff, hospitality and the attentive service from everyone. The SURU bar had a beautiful atmosphere with a great array of drinks. The room service quality and quantity of food were excellent (plus I have very challenging dietary requirements that the hotel went above and beyond to accommodate). I also took the lovers package and it was perfect in every way (again, the hotel and chef accommodated my challenging request) Thank you everyone for a lovely week away.

Spent a week here. Stunning hotel and fantastic location as in right on the beach. I can't fault the staff. Everyone was extremely welcoming and friendly and went above and beyond. There just seemed to lack an atmosphere. There was no music at the pool besides the smoking area, this was besides the Saturday, which they had a drinks promotion, pool side games, and music. The whole place changed that day. More people in the pool could hear the laughter and good time. Don't get me wrong, it was lovely to sit back and relax, but I did miss the bit of atmosphere.

Just left a two night stay at this hotel. I am gluten free, my partner had emailed prior our stay and was told not to worry there are plenty of gluten free options and we’ll be taken care of. Well I have been gluten free just over a year and have never had such a disaster as this experience. I was told conflicting information about what was and wasn’t gluten free. Even eating something g a chef later said wasn’t gluten free, luckily I had no reaction. I spoke to 8 chefs/ front of house staff about what was gluten and no clear answer was given. I was raging at this point, I spoke to reception, a guest experience manager and a member of staff at checkout. At no point was an apology offered until we mentioned this fact, nothing was done to make up for the fact our night was ruined.. and to be honest the feeling was no one could care less. This is a five star hotel at over 300 euros a night and the reaction and knowledge to allergies.. gluten being an extremely well know allergy.. is a total disgrace. Avoid at all costs, our stay in Gloria Royal days before this was 5 stars all the way for a 4 star hotel

Came here whilst staying nearby for a lunch. Food was good. Hard to find the Callao restaurant though as there are no signs saying Callao, in fact all the logos say blue marlin Ibiza which is the rooftop so it’s confusing. Hotel decor is lovely and has a boutique feel to it unlike some of the bigger hotels nearby. However no shade in any of the pools so 90% of the day someone like myself with pale skin that burns easily would not be able to use them sadly. If this small detail was changed someday, maybe with some more trees or parasols covering part of the pool, I would stay here in a heartbeat though!
