I wish the hotel was nearer the old town beach than it was, should've researched more. But you can easily use the tourist road train cheaply to get about. The stop was a short walk from the entrance. There is a rocky beacj, 12 minutes walk which was very dramatic scenery! Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful.nothing was any trouble. The food was good enough, and lots.and lots of choice. You could take drinks away in plastic or cardboard cups and you will never go hungry!

Good hotel, good location. Could have done with a better selection of evening meals. Nice large rooms with plenty of space.

This hotel is fine but it is not 5 star by any stretch of the imagination. It was clean and most of the staff were pleasant and helpful other than the older man on reception who was just rude. The food was fairly average as you would expect from an all inclusive but not the worst at all and lots of choice. Staff in the restaurant were quick to clear plates and very attentive. Pool area was nice enough and it's a good location as you're not far from Old Town, New Town and beaches.

Great hotel. Really enjoyed our 10night stay at forte do vale. Rooms are spacious with everything you need. It's situated about 10mins walk from the beach ⛱️ would definitely stay here again. There's different cuisine on offer each night. We sometimes went out to eat but the food in the hotel is good and breakfast is also good. Pool area is great aswel. The only complaint I'd give is that the music played at the pool is very repetitive each day every day which starts to get on your nerves abit. Apart from that it's a great hotel.

Pleasant hotel with good facilities - enjoyed using gym, steam room and very sizeable sauna. Jacuzzi is nice but colder than usual. Did not bother with indoor pool but it looked nice enough. There is also an unusual foot spa - difficult to explain so won’t try. It’s not 5 star as already mentioned - in the UK it would likely be a 4 star and beats most of those 4 stars I’ve used in recent times. Food is okay, choice is reasonable and the little sandwich cake shop is nice for late afternoons as a filler. BBQ at poolside also adds another option if peckish during late morning into mid afternoon. The main bar is very pleasant for evenings and has a few screens showing sport. Water features in atrium add a bit of class and ambience. Reception area is quite grandeur and staff are pleasant and helpful. The inclusive speciality restaurants are hit and miss - with free transportation we tried Aqua which was okay. The Thaal Indian was less so and only served one meat option which arrived on what can only be described as a prison tray. Reviews of the remaining options that were available at time didn’t entice us to try another. So stuck to main restaurant and or ventured out into old town. Would I use this hotel again ? Yes I likely would - enjoyed our stay.
