There should be regulations on what they consider a 5 star Hotel/resort. I never go out of my way to complain, I'm normally about positive reviews but I have never been so disappointed by a hotel or the lack of service by management. I wanted to treat myself to a 3 day all-inclusive resort after visiting a friend in the Yucatán. I worked hard to be able to save for that. I chose this resort because I wanted a higher level of service compared to a 3 or 4 star. 1st night I get there, my hot tub isn't working. They finally fix it the next day. I get in and there was scum coming out of the jets, which is a big sanitation issue. My room had a burnt light and missing plugs. There was even what seemed like a booger by the edge of the hot tub. It was also dusty my the bed side tables which triggered my allergies.Management didn't seem to be bothered by any of it. It's a 5 star resort per their rating, so the level of cleanliness should match. The rooms are outdated, the food is bland and repetitive. Half the resort was closed. They offered me a cheap bottle of sparkling wine (which they called champagne) but everything is already included or a 15 minute foot massage. I should of been moved to a different room the 1st night. They also didn't clean any of the sargassum on the beach. The only thing I can't fault is the servers and bartenders, they were all very friendly and efficient and a big shout out to them. The management is by far the worse and they need training on how to handle situations like these promptly. They even refused to help me book a transport back to the hotel because I didn't use their website (my credit card wasn't allowing me without a verification text which I couldn't receive). If anyone would like to see videos, I also have a few.

We were looking for a place to rest, enjoy, eat and forget all the life stress. This place is perfect. Delicious food, there’re multiple restaurants with different thematics, you can find your favourite one. Also, we were able to enjoy the pool, basically because there weren’t many people. Only one problem - TV is a dinosaur. I consider it should be a good option change it to make the room perfect. People are complaining about animals in the hotel, but come on! Is a natural place where you can live together with the nature. Just make sure to not leave any kind of food in your bags 🤓.

Oct 12 to 23, 2025. Knew ahead of time under construction. Loved our time there. Food was overall great. No one went hungry. Large resort, happy to use their transportation system. Went with hubby who has mobility issues so we rented a scooter ahead of time. Resort is 99 percent mobility friendly. Had a swimout, best decision with direct access to pool. Upgraded to platinum bracelet and made use of room service and platinum beach area. People like Enrique helped us with reservations and helping make my daughters engagement surprise special. Martin on transportation was charming and sweet and very accommodating and Franciso and Juan were attentive as our food service along with all the staff who make a vacation a lovely memory. Happy with our stay. Maybe not perfect as we did have less restaurants open and limited area, will be back when they have completed so we can enjoy the full experience. We went with no expectations in order to have no disappointments, we as a family of 6 adults were beyond pleased with the overall resort. They gave us the best they had to give during their upgrading. Thank you for the memories!!! Negative, did find the photo package very expensive as well of all the restaurants the Italian did not appeal to us as the chicken was undercooked and we found the new restaurant a bit dark. Steakhouse was delicious and la hacienda gave us some great entertainment. The new theater is amazing as well the ice cream shop is for everyone and it is lovely!!! Beach is large, animals plenty and coatis mischievous and adorable

Just spent a week at this hotel, and I must say it’s beautiful! The evening staff at the buffet were lovely, I sat in the same section every night because my waitress was an absolute joy to be around. The place was clean with lots of wildlife around which I thought was great. There was a taxi driver that was assigned to us by the hotel who was pretty rude though but I don’t think that’s the hotels fault. The only issue I really had was the beach left a little to be desired, it was often covered in seaweed and the water was so murky so I definetly wouldn’t choose this resort for the beach. The shops are great and buffets were always great. A gentlemen named Rodolfo set us up for a couple of dinners in the resteraunt which was incredible and the wait staff were really great. The pools are nice and kept warm but still refreshing temperature wise. There’s signs on the patio doors that say keep locked which I strongly advise because we walked in to a raccoon in our room trying to steal the coffee. (it was harmless and we thought it was funny but the mess of the coffee wasn’t fun to clean, and it dumped my purse and stole 2 packs of gum lol) The shows every night were nice to go to after dinner, the fire and drums was my favorite- they were all incredibly talented and put on a great show. There’s a handful of cats that live on the resort, and it made me really happy to see that the workers put food and water out for them and took care of them because some places I’ve been don’t do that and treat them as a nuisance. Overall we had a really great stay and I can definetly say I recommend it!

This resort is one of the best I ve ever been to, very clean, beautiful scenery, lovely staff that go above and beyond to make sure you are enjoying your time in there. Fantastic foods and restaurants ( I highly recommend the Steak house and La Fleur, the French restaurant). The staff are very friendly and easy to communicate with. You Always get the best treatment. My boyfriend and I spent there 7 days ( Oct 7th to 14th) and the resort was full of lovely animals like 🦌 deers, iguanas,and lovely birds 🐦 🐦‍⬛ but unfortunately full of a kind of racoon named COATI in Spanish which came to my room one day and scared me to death 🤣🤣🤣. Even though you re on the 3rd floor, lock the door. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
