The best thing about this resort is the service and friendliness of the staff. We had an easy, quick check in and check out. We had a great experience with the bartenders and servers at the restaurants and bars, especially from Angel Beltran and Brenda Hernandez at the Breathe Daiquiri Bar. They were awesome. We probably saw them too much because we would walk up and they would have our drinks waiting for us. The room are older and in need of repair or renovated. The food at the buffet was hit or miss depending when you got there. The restaurants were difficult to get into without reservation even though they had many cancellations and no shows. The location was out of the way but the area is beautiful.

This place is absolutely amazing!! The people are sooo nice and extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are super clean, comfy, spacious and very well maintained. The resort itself is spotless and very well organized.
The beach is absolutely beautiful!! There's a pool for everyone style, party pool, relaxing pool, lazy river, kids pool and luxury pool. (not actual names)
There's a bar or two everywhere you go and food is always nearby. Great quality meals and snacks are prepared daily. The buffet is a great choice for a quick meal with a variety of options to choose from.
There's lots of entertainment going on at the very large theatre or down at the beach.
There is always something to do for everyone!
If i had one to pick on something, which is hard to do at this place, i would say they need more shuttle carts.
Because this resort is very big and spacious, they offer shuttle service to take you where ever you need to go. Walking is great but when on vacation, let's get the beach, faster! 😎

We stayed for one week at this resort for a family wedding in a very large group. We loved the property, the rooms, the way everything was set up, the restaurants, shows, jungle creatures, beach. All of it was amazing!! The buffet had so many options and the staff was wonderful! The rooms were so beautiful and well appointed. The beach had some trees to sit under, lots of umbrellas and no shortness of loungers. Bars and places to eat at every spot. Many pools and loads of activities for the kids in our group. There was almost always staff coming and asking our drink orders. The only criticism I have would be the bar staff, especially in the Black Sheep 24hr restaurant. Myself and several other women in our group found they ignored us when we came to order a beverage and seemed to help anyone else that came up while we stood there and they refused to even make eye contact. We felt invisible and the staff seemed grumpy. There didn’t seem to be pressure to tip, but perhaps the bar staff only get drinks for you if you are holding cash out? There was also this man wearing a brown suit that worked at the resort who seemed very angry all the time and he took it upon himself to harass the teens in our group who were of drinking age but who had young looking faces, even during the wedding reception.

It's fine.
We read the recent reviews before we arrived, and they were surprisingly spot on for the most part. The pool was cold, the hot tubs were not hot, even at the spa. The food was fine, but nothing special, and it got old after a few days, especially breakfast. Taco bar at the beach was best for lunches. Drinks were generic, especially the beer. Our room had several issues. We booked a king and got two doubles. Tried to change and they said call tomorrow. We didn't want to pack and move so we lived with it. The doors in the bathroom weren't square. The sink took 10 minutes to drain. The toilet leaked from somewhere, so I just put a towel in the low spot every day. The soap dispensers in the shower were both broken and empty. There's no sheet between you and the comforter. The TV wasn't square with the wall unit. All livable stuff, but not luxury by a long shot. Had no issues getting reservations at the a la carte restaurants, shuttle carts came around semi-regularly, but we had no issues walking either. Night club is too far away and opens too late for the casual visitor. We've stayed at other resorts in the area, granted not in the last bunch of years, but they all made you feel more VIP than this.
