This was such a wonderful resort, and we all had an amazing time. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the rooms were very comfortable. Our only minor issue was that the shower didn’t drain as well as expected, and the bathroom felt a bit too open for our liking, but that seems to be the norm at many all-inclusive resorts. The food was fantastic—Himitsu stood out with the absolute best service and amazing food, followed by Portofino and Seaside Grill, which were also our favorites. The pools were all great, and the entertainment staff during the day were energetic, fun, and made our experience even better.

I deeply regret choosing this resort for our family New Year’s vacation. The location is remote and isolated, and the entertainment is almost non-existent. The New Year’s celebration was offered at an extra fee of $179 per person, but the show, food, and overall experience were extremely disappointing. The food was below average, and the service in the restaurants, bars, and everywhere else where service was required was subpar.
There is literally nothing to do except lie on the beach or stay in the crowded pool. Beach lounges were very difficult to find, especially shaded ones, and the staff did nothing to ensure that guests could secure a chair in the shade.
If your dream vacation is to spend days near a mediocre beach, in a relatively unclean and very boring resort with food that neither looks nor tastes good, then Dreams Cancun might suit you. Otherwise, I strongly advise against it.
We booked through Hyatt, and it is a shame that Hyatt has tarnished its reputation by affiliating with this resort.
This is not a 5/4 star resort. With what is available/quality/service 3 should be should advertise. Do not be fooled by thinking you will find a 4 or 5 star resort!

My experience is based on upgrading to a preferred room, which i highly recommend! You have access to a private lounge that has top shelf alcohol and food throughout the day as well as personalized check-in/out service. There wasn't much entertainment, and the food wasn't all that great (with the exception of the Seaside Grill!). It is also a family-friendly resort, but I didn't take my family and still enjoyed myself!

This is our second trip to Dreams Riviera and it exceeded the expectations even coming back! The VIP services for Preferred Guests are amazing and Victoria was such a help this time! Their attention to detail and point to make everything special is always felt and reflected. The room itself was amazing, our view was perfection being ocean front. The beds are comfortable and the room itself was so spacious. Our house keeping was always on point and turn down service was the cherry on top of a long day of relaxation. Everything was seamless and they made a point to leave champagne for us one night without asking, knowing we were celebrating our anniversary. The resort itself is very clean and the food was delicious, specifically at Portofino! The outside bar staff was delightful and always gave us a good laugh. Nothing short of amazing! Highly recommend.

My family and I had a wonderful and funfilled time at Dreams. The staff were friendly and always smiling, and their service was top tier. The room service was excellent, and the room was clean and modern. Resort is very beautiful, my daughter enjoyed the main pool, she had so much fun. The food was delicious. We had a wide variety to choose from, I enjoyed the seafood the most because I am a seafood lover. We just got back home, and my daughter is already sad and wants to go back. We will definitely visit again in the future.
