We had to book this resort last minute due to another hotel giving our room away to another guest. Understandably, we were pretty stressed trying to find a last minute place to stay that was large enough for our group and wouldn't break the bank. The staff was incredibly friendly and made the check-in process quick and easy. The suite was clean and had great views. Will definitely stay here again if we are ever back in the area.

DO NOT STAY HERE – SAVE YOUR TIME, MONEY, AND SANITY!
I deeply regret booking the Holiday Inn Grand Vacations Orange Lake Resort in Orlando. If you’re considering staying here, DON’T. This place is overpriced, poorly managed, and the staff is beyond rude—especially Leo, who works in the Tennessee department and reports to Brandon Stearns.
Terrible Check-in Experience with Leo
After an exhausting flight and a one-hour drive from the airport, we arrived at the check-in counter, only to be met with Leo’s awful attitude. Despite prepaying for our three-night stay two months in advance, Leo tried to fraudulently charge us additional taxes. When I asked for a receipt to dispute the charge, she made a face, as if I was inconveniencing her by asking for proof of payment. Instead of explaining the charge or offering any assistance, she coldly said “Next guest” and dismissed us.
Leo also failed to inform us that our room was in a completely different location—a staggering 2 miles away from the check-in counter. No map, no directions, nothing. We wandered for 1.5 hours in the middle of the night trying to find our building.
To make matters worse, she didn’t even mention the wristbands we needed for access, leaving us searching for our keys, completely unaware that wristbands were required. And apparently, we also needed a parking pass—but of course, Leo didn’t bother to mention that either. We were lucky we didn’t get fined.
Expensive but Lacking Basic Services
We paid around $1,500 for our 3-night stay, expecting a premium experience, but this place doesn’t even offer complimentary housekeeping. No fresh towels, no bed-making, no cleaning—nothing. For this price, you’d expect at least the basic courtesy of a well-maintained room.
Amenities? What Amenities?
The property does have amenities like a pool, pickleball courts, and golf, but we had no idea because Leo didn’t tell us anything. If we hadn’t stumbled upon them, we wouldn’t have even known they existed. For a resort that charges this much, you’d think they’d at least inform guests about what’s available.
Fraudulent Charges & Ongoing Dispute
To top it all off, Leo fraudulently charged me for taxes I had already paid. I am still disputing the charge with my credit card company. The sheer audacity of this place to nickel-and-dime guests on top of their already high prices is disgusting.
Final Verdict? STAY ANYWHERE BUT HERE.
This resort is not worth the money or the frustration. The staff, especially Leo, is rude, unhelpful, and borderline fraudulent. If you’re visiting Orlando for the theme parks and attractions, stay somewhere cheaper, where the staff is actually helpful, and you get basic services like housekeeping. This place is an absolute nightmare.

I recently stayed at Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Orange Lake Resort in Orlando, and it was easily one of the best experiences I’ve had. The location is perfect—just minutes away from SeaWorld and other top Orlando attractions, making it super convenient for exploring.
The villa was spacious, spotless, and had everything I needed, including a fully equipped kitchen and a screened-in porch that was perfect for unwinding. The resort itself is incredible, with multiple heated pools, a lazy river, mini-golf, and great on-site dining options. There was never a dull moment, and everything was well-maintained.
The staff were incredibly friendly and made sure my stay was enjoyable. The only small downside was the timeshare pitch, but a polite decline was enough, and it didn’t take away from the experience at all.
Overall, this resort is amazing. Whether you're there for the parks, relaxation, or both, it has everything you need. I can’t wait to go back!

We just stayed here this weekend and didn’t want to leave! The resort is enormous and very well-kept with so much to do that we didn’t have time to explore half of the amenities! We stayed in a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom villa that was our own little slice of paradise. Hands down the cleanest room I’ve ever stayed in with so much space! The full kitchen has everything you need to make meals and enjoy time with family. It even has a washer and dryer for laundry. Dive brand toiletries and plenty of clean towels. Make sure to bring the striped ones to one of the 3 pools…all heated! Holiday Inn Orange Lake is a luxury resort at a fraction of the cost. Wonderful and friendly staff too! Convenient location right off the highway and just a few min drive to more fun and restaurants. Hopefully we can stay longer next time!

We have been there for the last two years. Last season went alright at best for the money so we tried to give it another try this winter. It took over an hour to check in than another 30 mins waiting for the timeshare speech. We declined as we are here for vacation not a timeshare purchase. Only to find out when we get to the room the timeshare dude didn't activate our room key. Only to spend another 1.5 hrs trying to get our keys. Please take your money some where else. I've never had a holiday inn stay off this type.
