Best family vacation ever this resort was awesome Yes it is huge and it is easy to navigate and walk through. Guess services were very friendly and kind The water taxi got us there to the parks and back in a timely manner. As we were stuck there during the hurricane the hotel had activities for the families to do and their ballroom We sat down there for 2 days and watched movies and played games. Their prices for the food or a bit pricey. I would not spend $18 on a ham sandwich that has more bread than anything else. The salad was decent but the salad was also iceberg lettuce which is the cheapest lettuce you can possibly buy. The construction did not interfere with our daily activities the pool was a very nice touch we enjoyed it very much in the slide. We did get the pool hop and went to hard Rock Cafe resort and their pool was small and not fun at all and they're hot tubs were a lot better and hotter to soak your butt. The room is just your standard room it's no bigger than any other resort that we've stayed at was it clean it was up to par we did find trash in our room behind the tables wedged in between the walls and furniture which is fine we cleaned it up ourselves anytime that we called downstairs for towels or for coffee they brought it right up with no issue. I also like the fact that the resort looked out for their employees and had their families come in after the hurricane and fed them a hot meal. The resort is beautiful and well-themed even with the mediocre paint job on the building it's still a nice touch nothing compared to the real thing for sure and yes it's Florida not Italy. Thank you to all the staff and your kind words and all the help that you provided to all the guests during the hurricane.

We had a good time at this resort. The construction was not too much of an issue. They're doing a great job on the exterior. The rooms a bit tired as others have mentioned. The windows were compromised by moisture so often condensation blocked them. The caulking was shabby where it was needed. Otherwise the service was excellent and the ambiance great. This is a massive resort and a bit confusing on day one. They put a big hold for incidentals which is usually a sign that their clientele are sketchy (we fully paid beforehand so an $800 hold was a bit odd). Lots of pool options and the water taxi was helpful alternative to walking. I would go back to see how renovations go. I wouldn't pay more than I did though.

Staff is amazing. Very quick room service. I love you can text the hotel and they will text you right back. The pools were amazing! We stayed in the west wing and would definitely request to stay there again. Close to the pools and right by the water taxi. 10/10

My family of five and two parents had a spectacular experience at the Portofino Bay Resort. There was construction, yes, however that didn’t impact our stay at all. I am so glad we still booked. Going in I did have high expectations but the resort and club exceeded them. I had watched numerous videos and still was amazed by the beauty, peacefulness and the experience of the resort and the Club lounge. My husband and I love Italy and to us this was very close. The beach pool was wonderful after a day at the parks. I was most impressed with the lifeguard staff which was plentiful and professional. I can’t recall feeling this sense of safety at any other hotel pool. We found the rooms spacious and clean and enjoyed the wonderful housekeeping that came daily. The club lounge was so very convenient for us to grab drinks and snacks and any meals while we were there. The staff were exceptional and kind. Julian was one who always was so helpful and positive. I gave my parents the luxury they deserved and for that I am very thankful to Portofino Bay and their staff!

We came for the pizza and ended up staying for so much more! The atmosphere here is absolutely incredible, with live Italian music that really sets the mood. The pizza was delicious, but what made the night truly memorable was the relaxing and scenic boat ride to Universal CityWalk. It was the perfect way to end the evening. If you're looking for great food and an amazing vibe, this place is a must-visit!
