We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were spacious and the hotel was BEAUTIFUL for Christmas time. We loved the convenience of the water taxi. We got to skip the line coming in which was a huge plus. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. I was able to text the front desk for anything I needed and for an easy check out. Our only complaint was the food. We got pizza and pasta and it was terrible. You would think an Italian themed hotel would have good Italian food, especially for the price you pay. But it was bad. I thought even bad pizza is good pizza but I was proven wrong. The steak and breakfast we ate was great though! I would definitely stay here again!

We spent 6 nights in a two-queen garden view room. I can't say I've ever had a better stay. The room was lovely, comfortable, and clean. Comfy beds! Spacious rooms and bathroom. Excellent water pressure and nice bath products. The furnishings are tasteful. Best of all, it was quiet and peaceful. After long days in the Universal parks, it was such a beautiful and tranquil oasis to return to! The entire hotel is stunning. The transportation to the parks is convenient and classy. The restaurants available on site are great. Staff is friendly, attentive, and helpful. Universal is always fun, but staying at Portofino made it truly special.

The room was nice. The tub was dirty, with hair in several places, including on one towel. We ate dinner at the mid-level on-site restaurant. We both ordered coconut rum with pineapple juice. My husband ordered a double. I did not. The drinks were disgusting! They are quite simple! Only two ingredients! His drink cost $32, and mine was $24. What???? Ridiculous!! From our table, we also watched the bartender sweep the floor and use a dust pan. Without washing his hands, he went over and made our drinks. The shops were nice, and the employees were very pleasant. The hotel was nice to look at, but the on-site restaurants were too expensive, and the drinks were definitely not worth the cost.

We stayed the week before Thanksgiving and almost moved locations based on other poor reviews. I’m really glad we chose to stay! We got a room that had a parlor attachment and the parlor was huge. It was easy for a large family to spend time gathering here between runs to Universal. The pool was a favorite of the kids and I really enjoyed the music and 2 different hot tubs. They have a (included) towel service which was great. I didn’t have to remind kids to grab towels on our way down or drag wet towels back to our room. There was water ever to refill water bottles and our room was really pleasant and had a bay view. The construction didn’t phase me at all. Really glad we needed up staying there. The club lounge was really convenient for a quick bite on our way to the park and reasonably priced. I’ll definitely stay at more Loew’s resorts in the future. Excited to try the new one opening for Epic!

We had I heard so many good things about this resort and it absolutely lived up to expectations. They are doing some renovations at the resort, and you can tell some things just need a little touch up, but overall the rooms are beautiful and the property is just stunning. we will be back!
